Being a young first time car buyer, I had low expectations as to the kind of vehicle I would be approved for. I had gone to many places just hoping to get something I could at least like, even a little, but no matter where I went they all said and did the same thing. They would start by building up my hope, telling me how great it is that I am "first time car buyer" and despite "my school loans and lower credit score," they would definitely get me into something that would "fit me." Next they would take me past the newer nicer cars, telling me how even though I can afford them, unfortunately it wouldn't be realistic with "my background," and so we would end up in front of a vehicle that was "a good fit for me." This vehicle would be clearly used: peeling paint, scratches on the interior, miles way higher than the average for the age of the vehicle. We would test drive it, and the salesman would try to point out all the nice features, and coax me into thinking that even though it may not be the newest or nicest looking, it was definitely something I would come to like in time. Then we would go back into the office and he would ask how much I intend to put as a down payment, and no matter what the figure I stated was, he would come back with a payment schedule of a figure $4-500 more than I stated, telling how good my payment would be with only a little more down. I had low expectation going into buying a vehicle, but what actually occurred paled in comparison to any of the worst case scenarios I ever imagined. As a last ditch effort I decided to try out ABC Auto Trader, when I pulled up at the lot my hopes instantly plummeted, all their cars were very new, very well kept, very out of reach in my head due to my experiences with the other dealerships. I met with Ed, and instantly I felt major difference between him and the other "salesmen" that I have spoken to, because the first thing he asked me was "What was it I was looking for?" As we went into detail about what I wanted, I realized how different he truly was, not once did he try to influence my decision on a vehicle, even during the test drive, he never once tried to coax me into liking a particular vehicle over the other. After the test drive I expected the same ole story about how much to put down to get this vehicle, and my hopes were very low for the simple fact this vehicle was years newer than every one I had looked at with other dealerships, but he never touched the subject, he simply said that whatever I had to put down was fine and that the finance manager could work with me on bringing in more at a later date if that was required. That blew my mind, for the first time I had a bit of hope that I may actually walk away with a vehicle I actually wanted, not one that "best fit me."As time went along my experience here only got better, and better, not only was I going to get the vehicle I wanted but I am also getting a chance to build my credit! That part sealed the deal for me! No other dealership even mentioned helping me with my credit in anyway shape or form. I drove away from ABC Auto Trader with a great car, and a whole new outlook on car dealerships! Best experience ever!
Only place I'd take a car or truck for anything non-warranty. Found them after Bill Currie tried to burn us twice and they have been great .... from Chevy trucks, to Ford Escapes and Toyota Ravs they've handled them all... been going there for over 5 years.... the work is warranted, reasonably priced, and you wont get ripped off. Dan is straight up and that can be hard to find these days ... if you ever want to test the "integrity" of a mechanic, send in your daughter with a charge card and a "known" issue. At Gillett's, they will find and fix that problem, and that problem only.... There are a lot of places that will "find" all kinds of things "wrong", that are non-existent. Sent my daughter to Bill Currie with a small power steering leak ... they wanted to put in a new power steering pump for around $700 ... the thing is, the only thing wrong was that the spring clip holding the hose from the reservoir had cracked the hose at the connection. The second time she had to take it in was for a safety recall on the seat belts or something .... she called saying they found that the front brake pads were metal to metal with the rotors and the rear brake pads and drums needed replacing immediately as well. I had done both front and back less than nine months prior so I told her to go home where I pulled a front an rear wheel, took photo's of what Bill Curries "service writer" called "metal to metal" and drove back to the dealership. I went straight to the "sharp dressed" service manager, showed him the copy of the service order/recommendations from my daughter, and then the pictures I had just taken. He backpedaled like nobody's business and I left after asking him to please, next time you want to steal from me ... come to my house to do it so I can legally respond accordingly.No one at Gillett Auto wears a tie, but they're honest and reliable. It seems like from Factory service centers to court houses to capitol hill, the biggest thieves and liars all wear ties ....
Transmatics Transmissions N Auto Repair
I highly recommend Transmatics Transmissions. I haven't been treated this well by a mechanic in over 10 years!!!I had just gotten off I-75 for a business meeting, thankfully an hour early, when my car started making a weird noise. While I was driving I was turning everything on and off to see what the cause was, but couldn't figure it out. I got to my destination and immediately popped the hood and called my brother. Long story short he figured it was most likely something related to the transmission. So I looked up Transmission Mechanic on Google Maps and Transmatics Transmissions was right around the corner. I drove my car over and spoke to Leon immediately after arriving. He drove the car around the lot and told me he would find the problem. He then offered to DRIVE ME back to my meeting! I don't know of any mechanic anywhere that would do that, even if it were around the corner! I got a call later from Leon stating that they wouldn't be able to fix it today because the part wouldn't come in on time. After I told him I didn't want stay unless absolutely necessary he offer another solution that wouldn't risk destroying my car on the ride home so that I could have it fixed later. I opted for Plan B, then Leon came and PICKED ME UP from my meeting!Other than not having AC for the ride home, the consequence of Plan B-thoroughly explained beforehand, I felt like a princess. And they only charged my $60 for taking apart my engine and telling me exactly what my problem was. Now my brother can fix it this weekend! Thank you Transmatics!
I just want to say thank you to Ray and Uncle Larry. I am so glad i went to ABC Auto Trader to see you about getting a car. After reading all the great reviews about everyones experiences there, i decided to check them out myself. My credit was not good. Ray was my sales person and Uncle Larry assisted me through the process. Ray was very calm, patient and worked very hard to make sure i was happy, even after i purchased the car. Uncle Larry worked hard to get me a lower interest rate, He then checked up on me to make sure i was happy with the vehicle i picked. He really knows the business very well. He even gave me advice on getting my credit together, he is also has a very good sense of humor and friendly. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy with what you buy. These are some of the nicest and honest people you ever want to do business with. I also spoke to Mike while waiting, he is a very good person to talk to, very nice and humble, made me feel like family. I will be looking to send referrals to you. I am a very happy and sitisfied customer. There is so much more i could say about my experience at ABC Auto trader, but I dont want to take up too much space on here :). You guys are Awsome.
I had recently gone thru a divorce and my credit was trashed. I had been to several other dealers and was told I didn't qualify because of previous repo's showing up, or they were trying to put me in some kind of high milage piece of junk. I was very embarrassed and had lost all hope. I visited ABC Autotrader a week ago on the advise of a friend. I was greeted by a salesman named Gil and from that point on, I realized that I had found the right place to help me. Gil was very professional in his assessment of my needs and made feel very comfortable about my credit problems, telling me they have my programs available to help get my credit back in shape.After giving Gil my credit information, he introduced me to Mr. Kirk the GM of the dealership. Mr. Kirk is without a doubt the most knowledgable person I have ever meet when it comes to credit reestablishing. He pulled no punches and told me everything that had to be done to get me back on track within a 12-month period, and it was all very simple and did not involve me spending any more money.I am now driving a 2011 Impala with payments I can afford, and the whole process took only an hour and a half. These guys are the "BEST"!!!!! I highly recommend them
I highly recommend this Auto Repair Shop... I have been using them the last 20 years and all I can say about them is they are extremely good at what the do.They are very knowledgeable, honest, great service, and the best is their prices are very reasonable compare to other repair shops. The owner's name is Jesse... Tell them Nixon recommended them and I promise you... you'll be happy you did. There are many auto repair shops but ALTERNATIVE AUTO CARE they will fix what is needed to be fixed - unlike other shops may fix what is wrong with your car but they often will tell you additional repairs is needed so they can make more money off from you... I'm not just saying it because it has happened to me more times that I can count.Take your vehicle to them you will be happy you did driving away knowing they fix what was wrong without over charging you. I have been using them with all of the cars I have owned the last 20+ years,,, I should know and you will be grateful you did. No need for thanks. I got into a car accident and did not know what to do. I went to two other shops that we're going to charge me over $1,800 to fix the car, I found Tito online on Facebook and he said he can help me no matter what, as being a single female going to any mechanic I'm very skeptical because a lot of shops take advantage of the fact that I'm a female. I had the car towed to his shop and he told me that he can do it for $1,000 .it's hard to believe because two other shops wanted to charge me so much more. he told me he would have the car fixed in a week and called me during the week to let me know the status of the vehicle. Exactly one week later one of his workers came and pick me up he brought me to the car and it looked absolutely amazing. I cannot believe that he fix the car, I am very grateful for Tito and the Gang for fixing the only thing I have left of my grandmother who recently passed away. If you want to have your car fixed perfect and an update as the progress progresses then bring your car to Tito tell him Alicia sent you and he will take good care of you..god bless
Being the nit picker customer that I am, for me to say a company is great is rare. On several fronts Auto Safe and Sound are the ultimate in quality and service. Here's why. I got my 2003 SUV tinted 11 yrs ago, and since then, I have had my car out in the sun almost all the time, making wrinkled tint panels almost inevitable (After 9 yrs I had sporadic problems. It may have been a problem for me, but for the Manager at Safe and sound, Alvaro, who's been there for years, it was zero problems. He did not hesitate fixing panels on the spot, or in one case where the defroster/rear panel required fixing, he fixed it, and gave me drive to my house, and picked me up, without hesitation. I have seen the "Lifetime Warrantee" advertisement for many years, but how many tinting companies are around long enough to make good on that promise?. This company is the one!. Unreal how they respect their customers, and back their product. Truly one-in-a-million!. Alvaro is the face of this company and he is unmatched in all areas of service and quality.
