Auto Safe & Sound Inc
Being the nit picker customer that I am, for me to say a company is great is rare. On several fronts Auto Safe and Sound are the ultimate in quality and service. Here's why. I got my 2003 SUV tinted 11 yrs ago, and since then, I have had my car out in the sun almost all the time, making wrinkled tint panels almost inevitable (After 9 yrs I had sporadic problems. It may have been a problem for me, but for the Manager at Safe and sound, Alvaro, who's been there for years, it was zero problems. He did not hesitate fixing panels on the spot, or in one case where the defroster/rear panel required fixing, he fixed it, and gave me drive to my house, and picked me up, without hesitation. I have seen the "Lifetime Warrantee" advertisement for many years, but how many tinting companies are around long enough to make good on that promise?. This company is the one!. Unreal how they respect their customers, and back their product. Truly one-in-a-million!. Alvaro is the face of this company and he is unmatched in all areas of service and quality.

Tampa Used Auto Parts
When I found their correct number (813-242-4391) they treated me with the upmost respect and unmatchable care! I wanted to sell my 97 Civic that was in ROUGH shape and they treated it as if it was in good condition! The other places BARELY got to $250-300 and all they did was try to scam me out of my car and money. When I got a hold of Tampa Used Auto, however, the first price they gave me was $350! 50 more than what the other companies maxed out at! And when I decided to take it over, they ended up giving me $400!!!!!!!! Everybody there was extremely courteous and I knew they actually cared about me. Also, I needed a headlight for an Explorer, and the other places charged me $30 for a used one. They sold me a NEW one with a ONE YEAR warranty for $35! More than happy I gave them a chance. Good service, good people, great company. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to sell a junk car or needs to get parts.

Power Up Auto Inc
Called Scott from Power Up Auto at 10:00 in the morning, after a check on inventory parts and a call back we scheduled for him to come around 1:00pm. Showed up on time I was few minutes late. He called me to check my status, the car was unlocked so he started the job. I arrived just a few minutes later and he was already at it. He fixed what I attempted to do (2010 Dodge Avenger window regulator) which became more than I bargained for and did a great fast job. Very reasonably priced and very knowledgeable in this field of work. Friendly and a straight shooter, to the point no BS. I will certainly call him again should the need arise.

Power Up Auto Inc
I had used Power Up Auto Inc. a few years ago when the right-rear window on my 2006 Chysler Sebring failed to work (stuck in the down position). I contacted them late in the day via phone, they quoted me a figure and said they'd be over the next morning. Everything went as advertised and the replacement window still works.I kept them on file so when my left-rear window failed (down position again) on the Sebring on New Years Day, I emailed the company late at night, they responded within an hour and was over at my house the next morning at 9:30 AM with the replacement. It's always preferable to write 5-star reviews.

Power Up Auto Inc
My tailgate window has known issues which the dealership has failed to acknowledge. I contacted Power Up Auto around Noon and they were onsite by 4 pm with factory parts. Scott worked on my tailgate issue for over 5 hours during a two day stretch of time. He even worked during inclement weather. He was able to repair the problem for the originally quoted price. I was very pleased with his professionalism and the quality of the service provided. Would definitely recommend his services to eben the most finicky of customers.

AutoZone
Great place!! Waisted 2hrs total dealing with incompetence at their competitors down the street only to be told I needed an entire housing unit. Needless to say, I wanted 2nd opinion and came to AutoZone. AutoZone not only had the part their competitor told me didn't exist on its own, but it was 10.00 less than the trash their competitor tried to sell me over and over. I highly recommend AutoZone against their competitor because obviously only AutoZone has REAL car guys working there.

Power Up Auto Inc
We have required the services of Power Up Auto on 2 separate occasions for 3 different windows. Each time, Scott has provided us with the highest quality and exceptional professional service. He is on time, quick, efficient, and travels to our location, even at 7am to accommodate our busy schedules. The work is done right and is guaranteed. Scott is a delight, his service is impeccable and I would not hesitate to recommend Power Up Auto to anyone requiring their services.

Auto Safe & Sound Inc
Recently took them up on their Yelp offer (free car wash with a check in & review). Pleased with the experience, to the point where I actually went online when I got home and scheduled an appointment online for some carbon fiber vinyl wrapping for my hood & spoiler. Their wrap guy was finishing up a beautiful '15 Jag F-Type and I just knew then and there that these were the guys to go to in all of Tampa. Very satisfied and highly recommended!
Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
