I'd had my eyebrows done by someone in Panama City who advertises years of experience doing permanent makeup. I was very unhappy with her freehand results and she did not care that I was not satisfied. Maty did a wonderful job redoing my eyebrows; she is very proficient. I was so nervous during the procedure but am very, very pleased with the results. They look so much better. She made a follow up appointment and told me she would work with me if I did not like the color or shape. I like both. The table she had me lie on was very comfy and the room was clean. Although she's only been learning English a short time, her English is great; I had no problem communicating with her. Besides, who wants to carry on a chatty conversation with someone doing permanent makeup on your eyebrows or eyes? The only reason I'm not giving Maty five stars, which she should get, is because the salon tells you about an increase in the price of the procedure upon arrival and not when the appointment is made. This increase is not mandatory but is recommended.

Dapper Dogs Grooming Studio
Dapper Dogs owner, Beverly Graddy, groomed our Pekingnese, Harry and Mikayla, for 12 years. They LOVEd going to see Miss Beverly for their 'spa treatment' and ran right in to see her each time I dropped them off. Harry passed last year. And Mikayla's an old gal, now, who requires only nail trims. We went out to see beverly today for one such nail trim, and Mikayla was just as happy as ever to see her old friend, Miss Beverly. It has been wonderful to know my dogs were well-loved and cared for by such a wonderful groomer. And I could trust they'd be gorgeous every single time they came home from Dapper Dogs! Beverly is THE best. She truly loves her work as well as our dogs. I thank God I was referred to her by my Vet years ago!

Sage Spa
On Groupon I purchased a package of microdermabrasions available from Sage. I'm so glad I did! I had a wonderful experience. The place is spotless and the atmosphere put me in a relaxed mood the moment I opened the door.Cat performed the service and she was wonderful! I laid down on a bed that had gentle heating for my back. The lights were low and relaxing music played in the background. She explained everything she would be doing and answered all my questions. The procedure took an hour and I was sorry when it was over.I've booked my next appointment and am looking forward to returning.I very highly recommend Sage Spa!

Earth Haven Massage & Bodywork
I have had the chance to experience John's handy work several times. I have to say John's hands are like magic. He makes sure you are comfortable with every aspect of the allotted time from the ambiance of the location, general relaxation, conversation. John has always demonstrated the utmost professionalism. He is a very talented and educated man who knows exactly how much or little pressure to apply depending on your unique situation. He preforms several different types of massage. I would recommend everyone to get in and see John. Let him help you.

Earth Haven Massage & Bodywork
I always enjoy my massages and Thai Yoga therapy sessions with John Maiers. Being that I am 70 years old and do not like to drive, I love the fact that he comes to me. Believe me, if I can do Thai Yoga – you can! I was badly burnt in a house fire over 40 years ago and have had limited mobility ever since that increasingly worsened with age. With John’s Thai Yoga treatments in his Wellness Week Series, I was able to walk without my cane – and able to spend my 70th birthday walking around Sea World Orlando with my daughter.- Dolores Sadvary

Dapper Dogs Grooming Studio
I have a sweet little guy who had a rough start in life. He is afraid of everything - especially grooming, but Beverly at Dapper Dogs has been so accommodating while working with him! She goes the extra mile to make him feel safe and loved. I especially like that I can stay while she works on him, and take him back home right away, instead of him being forced to sit in a kennel all day - waiting his turn to be groomed!

I had the joy of getting a massage from John recently. What blissful relaxation. He immediately put me at ease with his ability to make conversation or be quiet whichever I needed at the time. Afterwords, my body felt great, soothed, and relaxed. If I had my way I would get a massage from him every week or every other week. Wonderful. I recommend to everyone to give him a call. Thank you John.

Bellezza Boutique
This is the only place I go for my nail care needs in Tallahasee. The owners are super sweet and funny. They are young so they relate to the college students who usually go there. Making an appointment is highly suggested. Alisha and Tiffany do awesome full sets and they have a plethora of colors to choose from. Definitely make this nail salon one to visit.

The Pet Place
I have been a customer of the Pet Place since 2007 and would not consider going anywhere else. Art and Lorraine are top professionals, and my five dogs enjoy going there for grooming and positive attention. The business is always very clean, their prices are competitive, and they are truly loving animal caregivers.

You have to check it out! Get a reflexology session or a massage!! Or both, as I did. It was amazing and I will be a regular client. John is knowledgeable and empathic. He really cares about the health of his clients. I am feeling so much better since I saw him. Thanks, John.
Tips & Advices
Some pet groomers have viewing areas where owners can sit and watch their pets being treated. Most prevent owners from being in the same room as the pet, however, as the owner's presence might cause the pet to become too excited.
Pets that cannot interact with strangers do not make good professional grooming candidates. Sometimes medication can help, but some groomers don't take animals that have been sedated. If a pet becomes too unruly, a groomer may end the session entirely.
It's best to fully vaccinate pets before bringing them to their first grooming appointment. Dogs should receive the DA2PPC vaccine, which stands for canine distemper, canine andenovirus type 2, canine parvovirus, and parainfluenza. It's also a good idea to vaccinate dogs against Bordedatella (aka “kennel cough”). In fact, New York City requires dogs receive both DAPP and Bordetella shots. Cats, meanwhile, should get the FVRCP vaccine: feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus infection, and panleukopenia. In addition, all pets should be up to date on their rabies shots. Owners should wait at least 24 hours after getting their pet vaccinated before bringing it to the groomers.
Technically, there is no such thing as a pet that is too old for a professional groomer. In fact, older pets with joint or mobility issues often can't groom themselves and need someone else to clean them. However, pets that are blind, deaf, or have serious medical issues might not do well at a groomer, especially if the person is inexperienced. Owners should feel free to ask potential groomers about their understanding of elderly pet issues. Often, older pets will exhibit puppy-like behavior and squirm or yelp during grooming. Alternatively, they might not be able to stand for long periods of time. As such, grooming an older pet usually takes more time than grooming a young one.
Puppies and kittens should be at least 10 weeks old before their first professional grooming session. They should be used to being gently handled by strangers and comfortable being separated from their owners for a few hours at a time.
