I have seen several reviews on this site claiming that SASCS is a great school “if you have the perfect child” and that individuals had a horrible experience, yet chose to stay with the school for “5 years.” I would like to share my experience with the school, and lend whatever I can to these stories. My name is Dalton, I am not a fictitious person, and I am an alumni of Syracuse academy of Science Charter School. When I came to SAS I was far from the “perfect child”; 220 lbs, bullied, beaten, teased heavily medicated for ADHD and overall at the end of my will to live. I had no career prospects and did not plan to go to college as my financial situation was bleak. My parents worked full time, and went to school at night. At my previous public school, I was put in “gifted” classes for atypical students with learning disabilities, however when I enrolled at SAS, my designation did not follow. I was challenged, and I succeeded. I have spoken with senators and congressmen, interned at a college before I was old enough to attend one. Besides that I can say that I have represented Syracuse in a Science congress in Albany along with my representing the United States in a global environmental summit hosted in Istanbul, Turkey . Most importantly, I must note that while participated in these life changing events I maintained a lean 2.98 GPA. Most definitely NOT a “Perfect child” Well, that was four years ago. I am now 150 lbs, enrolled in college and am a proud member of the United States Army on track to become an Officer, and I entirely owe it to this school. My school. Still not convinced? Stop by the school, ask for a tour, and see this for yourself.
On behalf of my family, I would like to say, We have found NBCC to be a very "Safe Environment" You can trust the Pastors and their rock solid leadership at this Family Centered Church,Emotionally and Spiritually,True to what the church vision statement proclaims, "Everyone Matters"You can feel a strong presents and love of the Lord in this place. The only way I can explain it is, It's as if you were on vacation from the pressures of this life. Like time stood still for that moment. You feel self worth, connected and renewed. Plus you are building real relationships with people and connecting with with other like minded believers, the way God intended it.A focal point, A place of rest, A time of refreshment in the Lord. A New Beginning...If you are in need of a Healthy Church Family, This is the place to be...!!! CHURCH VISION STATEMENT:A Place where "EVERYONE MATTERS": Through CHRIST's LOVE, We Will be Satisfied and Reach the Destiny of our Highest Calling.
Holy Cross Church on Armstrong Road welcomes everybody. It was founded by people of Polish descent, but everyone is welcome. This is a friendly church that nurtures spiritual needs. The services are beautiful. Come and visit. You will be heartened and you will return again and again.
A Very Sweet Small Traditional Catholic Church but different from Roman Catholic in that with National Catholic the priests are allowed to marry. The congregation is caring of one another and the community.
What a wonderful, caring church filled with love and compassion for others. The monthly dinners/picnics are great too!Come and worship.
