Worst gym experience I've ever had. The facility itself is very nice. All the machines are new and the 4-12 playroom was gorgeous, but the staff(what little there was)) was atrocious. I almost had a heart attack in the 4-12 playroom. My daughter who is 4 years old got into the jungle gym area and was nearly trampled by the older kids several times before she made it down the slide where I could get her the heck out of there. This area was full of 4-12 year old kids and there wasn't an adult staff member in sight. Kids were arguing, bumping into each other, no supervision, it was like lord of the flies in there. Then we took the elevator to the kids work room where we ran into the only staff member we saw actually working. though that's the only positive thing I could say about him. My wife brought our daughter in and asked him a few questions and it was clear from the get-go that he wanted both of us and our kids to f*** off. This guy, a younger fit gentleman, looked at and treated us like we were garbage, and struck me as the type that got into his line of work to get paid to go to the gym and flirt with young attractive women, not talk to old married people like us. Speaking of which (and I know now after some research that this is something that comes with the YMCA) what's up with the pricing policy? They charge 20-29 year old's almost $20.00 a month less than people age 30-64. The message from that and the staff member I dealt with seemed pretty clear to me. If your not young and attractive they don't want you, or at the very least they want you about 50% less. The clientele I saw reflected this attitude.

Just a moment...
