We bought our home 3 1/2 years ago and have loved trying all the new restaurants in our area. The first time we dinned with Tom Yum Thai we loved it!!! After that everything changed. We noticed our deliveries taking longer then usual. The food carriers were not "cut" all the time, causing condensation build up on the food. Cold wet food not a favorite. Still were forgiving. I have politely called before and did not have an issue. Last night was different. Last night I placed 2 orders at 6:10pm. 1 for my aunt and another I prepaid with my card for my family. I used grub hub and did this online. We live a couple of streets from each other, and the orders were placed 5-10mins apart. My aunts food arrived 1 hour after her order was placed. About 30 mins later I call to ask about mine. The women answered and says "well all of our deliveries are out soooooo...." So I say ok thank u. Hang up and tell my husband "she was rude". Waited another 15 mins. The driver calls and is lost he's new. Okay I wait 10 more mins. Nothing I call the driver, no answer. I call Tom Yum Thai. When they answer I explain that I placed both orders and it has not been over an hour since my aunt relieved her food. Then I explain ur driver is lost and I can't get ahold of him. To which she responds with EXACTLY THIS "WELL,... The way deliveries work are like this!!! When someone places the order the ticket comes in we make the food it gets delivered later. So I don't know what to tell you. Her order was first she got her food first. This is the way the system works. Who ever told you different should apologize. It dosent matter if the were placed 5 mins apart or 30 it gets cooked then sent out." I'm not gonna lie at this point I put her on speaker muted my self and let her go on for 3 mins flat!!!!! Finally I interrupted and told her she was being rude and condescending. I then reminded her I was not her employee I was a customer and was not in a training class not to speak to me like that. I am a person and she should speak to me as an equal. She didn't like that we began to argue. I asked her for corporates number several times she refused. She finally said I'll take your number and have the owner call you. No thank u. All of this and still no food. Mind u my aunts cash order had arrived an hour and a 1/2 ago, but my paid for order, the one they had the money for came at 8:30. Cold!!!! And to top it off the didn't cut the tops so they were soaking wet!! Actually not even edible! My husband called back said to refund his card he'd bring the food. They said no!!!! This morning he called the owner, "my manager said ur wife yelled! She sounds like a hot head if she calls me IM going to yell at HER!!! Well as most men my husband didn't reply to that 2 friendly. Still they refuse to reimburse our card. Now we have to file a dispute through the bank for our 75.00 and a complaint through BBB. Good luck people. Once they have your money your nothing!!!
