H Butler's Bar Bq
I am just visiting the area for some training and saw their was a ton of restaurants down on El Comino Real so I headed down there. That was when I saw a Truck on the road advertising H Butler's Bar Bq. I pulled them up on my YP app and saw Dr Wolf's 2 star review however after reading it, he seemed to really like it but was unlucky with some burnt food. I watch Guy Fieri a lot and because of his Triple D show, I will give "dives" a chance now. When I walked in, the menu said "Soul Food" and I was getting more confident in my decision. I ordered a Tri-tip and Brisket combo and it was amazing.. I also got the baked beans, potato salad and corn bread and everything was great. I left their stuffed because I couldn't let any of it go to waste, it was that good. If I ever come back to this area again, I know where I am coming back. Great job Butler's....

Armadillo Willy's
Reviews on here should be wiped if they are over 9 years ago. I am a resident of Texas, the bbq is never comparable to genuine Texas but I give a fair assessment. I had the Texas ribs. They do not fall off the bone easily like Texas but the sauce is good, meat is alright and I $10.95+ taxes 3 bones, one side and a drink. I will go back because nothing close to Texas. This is similar to the popular Rudy's in Texas but mainly in style. In Texas, you can smell the BBQ. You don't here in CA. Hope this helps. I eat out a lot.

Just a moment...
