Sunbury Urgent Care
I was recently in the Sunbury area with my work and found myself in need of medical help to treat an infected skin lesion. I printed out and filled in their 1 page new patient questionnaire from their website and paid them a visit. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I saw a qualified nurse practitioner within 10 minutes of arriving. She fixed me up and I was in and out within an hour. They filed my out of state insurance and all I paid was the normal co-pay. I would recommend them to anyone needing quick attention when you are unable to visit your regular physician.

Sunbury Urgent Care
First time here, I was alittle afraid due to the reviews below, but it was a Saturday and I did not want to go to the ER. I was impressed. Very clean, staff was professional and I felt like the Nurse Practioner took time with me. Only 4 stars because there was alittle wait, but I guess less than ER. I will use this clinic again. I also reveiced a phone call a few days later to see how everything was, that is almost unheard of these days. Thank you for serving Marengo area we need this!

Nice Urgentcare, I was seen for cough and other sinus issues. I was in and out within 1 hour. That is great. That was was first time there, I did return 2 weeks later with my kids for same thing, different staff but same fastness. It was a Sunday so I am glad they are there, ER sucks on the weekend.

Sunbury Urgent Care
Outstanding, first time here, place was clean, staff friendly, I cut myself on a box cutter and they were able to give me stiches and have me on my way within 1 hour. Hope not to have to use you again to soon, but I am glad you are there. Also my CO-pay was only 50, not 150 if I went to the ER.

I was seen quickly, clean and nice staff. I had slammed my hand in a trunk and needed xrays and stitches. Thank you for being there. My family also has used this urgent care and had good outcomes. Alot easier than getting in with you family Doc.

Tips & Advices
Under most health insurance plans, urgent care visits will require a copay that is usually less expensive than emergency room visits, but more expensive than standard doctor visits - around $120 on average. Urgent care staff do not have much information regarding individual coverage, so be prepared and check with your insurance provider to understand costs.
It is common for urgent care physicians to recommend follow-up treatment after an initial visit. Most commonly, patients will be asked to return to the clinic or their primary care doctor if symptoms get worse or do not improve in a certain amount of time. Patients might be referred to a specialist for treatment of more complex conditions. Or patients may simply be given a few basic tips for recovering at home. In any case, patients should follow the doctor’s advice regarding next treatment steps.
If needed, urgent care doctors can prescribe medication to treat conditions. This may include antibiotics for an infection or pain medication for a broken bone. Be sure to follow the doctor’s instructions for taking these medicines.
Be sure to explain your symptoms to physicians in as much detail as possible. Note when or where the symptoms first appeared if possible. Inform urgent care staff of any medical conditions you may have, all allergies, and all medications you are currently taking. Also be sure to bring proper forms of identification, and any health insurance cards/information to help process your visit.
You should be able to find a 24-hour urgent care clinic by searching online resources such as yellowpages.com. Be sure the location is included in your health plan network before visiting.
