Mike's Plumbing & Repair Service
Updated Review: Called Mike back the next day to cancel the service they schedule on Monday for Tuesday. Told Mike my concerns and issues with the work on Monday. He took very good care of me. So I have decided when I need plumbing services again I will give him another chance but with a different crew. Called Mike and he sent someone almost immediately. However upon finding my problem instead of using correct length of pipe they cut it too short and didn't allow adhesive time to dry before turning water back on at full pressure. Then before leaving told me I needed new pipes from meter to house which was not true. Extremely disappointed

The plumber was suppose to be at my house between 9 and 9:30 am. He called about 9:45 and said he would be their between 10 and 10:30 am. He showed up about 10:45. he showed up eating his breakfast and on cell phone. I had to tell him what to do. He repeated 3 or 4 times and I had to keep telling him. He went to get parts. Came back about 45 min. later eating his lunch. Then he said they didn't give him everything. He had to go back and that was another 30 min. All I was having done is my kitchen sink moved over about 3 feet and a line run for the icemaker on the refrig. He left my house about 8:30 pm. Then I asked for the bill. He gave me a bill with $500 wrote on it. No break down of material. labor or anything. I will never use them again.

Newman Plumbing Company
They answered the phone, came out the same day, quickly assessed the problem and knocked it out all while being professional and friendly. They do electrical work too. I have them listed in my phone and will call them first from now on.
Tips & Advices
A properly refinished bathtub should definitely not look painted. If your tub looks painted, it probably was. A professional refinishing job should leave your bathtub looking smooth, shiny, and like brand new.
A newly refinished tub should last roughly three to five years, while a re-glazed tub’s life expectancy can be 12-15 years or more. All of these estimates are based on standard usage and regular cleaning and maintenance of the tub.
For minor tub cracks and chips, a basic refinishing is an effective and efficient remedy. But deep chips or cracks that may affect the integrity of the tub need additional care, such as fillings or even replacement. Consult a professional to determine the extent of your tub’s repair needs.
Depending on your tub’s condition, a standard in-house refinishing should take two to five hours. Factoring in time for the tub to dry, expect at least a day, perhaps two, for the entire process to be complete before you can use the tub. Re-glazing will take days or even weeks. If your tub has damage, excessive wear, or has been refinished before, the process can take longer. A contractor can give you more precise estimates.
Re-glazing is a specific method of bathtub refinishing, but it’s an involved process that usually requires the services of a professional glazer.  Re-glazing requires a furnace to melt the glaze onto the tub’s surface, so it cannot be done in-house. The tub must be removed from the house and shipped to a glazer, making it a laborious and expensive process. It is the process used in most original bathtub finishes.
