San Joaquin Family Law
We live out of state and had received some critical information regarding our children and needed to act fast, we came across San Joaquin Family Law, Tamran Amaral and her amazing staff. Tamran represented my husband for his child custody case and his support case. After our first explanation of our situation Tamran and her staff expediently jumped in to action researching and initiating all the proper paperwork. We started the process on a Monday and by that Friday they had filed the necessary paperwork, and a court date followed shortly after that. Not only was she practical but immensely understanding, patient and compassionate. She was genuine and knew exactly what she was doing both in and out of the court room. Tamran made sure we had all the proper documentation and evidence filed with the court and was exceptionally familiar with the details of our case. I honestly feel that it would have been inconceivable to have selected someone better to represent us in such a paramount and life changing case. Words and reviews can’t express how satisfied My husband and I are, not only with the results we received but also with the process. She and her staff made it remarkably easy even with us being roughly 1568 miles apart. I would unquestionably recommend Tamran Amaral and her staff to anyone looking for a phenomenal lawyer. Thank you for all of you time, energy, phone calls and emails we truly appreciate it!

Muoi Chea Attorney At Law
Muoi has bent over backwards to provide us with outstanding service and legal representation! She is ALWAYS professional, respectful and kind. Whomever Shelly S is, she absolutely has Muoi confused with someone else because Muoi's level of professionalism is at the top of the top, and she has really looked out for me/my best interests too. When another party (in a separate matter) gave her some info she had requested, and in so doing triggered her suspicion about their intentions, she went out of her way to tell me, and made sure I understood what I needed to do to protect myself--and her suspicions were dead on right. She has also worked "above and beyond" her obligations to me and my husband as clients by contacting others on my behalf to get information and/or documents from them when speaking to them would be too upsetting for me.Muoi would be worth hiring even if she charged three times what she does! She works six days a week and is usually still working and available until 7 or 8pm, to boot. I cannot recommend her highly enough. SHE IS TERRIFIC! (And she is the only lawyer on the planet that I don't hate, as most of them are greedy, amoral parasites.)

Law Office of Douglas A. Goss
I was referred to this law firm thru avvo.com, after contacting them they understood my work schedule and met me on saturday for the free consultation, my first meeting was with Blair who was very understanding of my situation,I was appointed a public defender for my case that was 3 years old and with potential of doing some jail time and having a felony on my record i wanted help from an experienced attorney, so after Blair without giving false hopes, actually told me that there was a couple of option available to me and telling me of Doug's 35 year experience, i felt no need to look elsewhere every time i had a question they would respond the same day and even went as far as to meet me on a sunday in there office, Doug's experience and knowledge of how to deal with criminal cases was what i needed and he was able to plea down the felony to a misdemeanor and no jail time which my wife and i were very happy with, they also offer free record expungement which i will take advantage of, I would recommend this law firm to anyone

Scott B. Ennis ESQ. Defense Attorney
My son had a DUI conviction and was sentenced to have a ignition interlock device installed in his car for 12 months by court order . When the time was up he received a license but DMV said he had to keep the interlock device for another year. Well that passed and the company that installed it LifeSaver refused to take it out. He called DMV Mandatory Actions and the said he would loose his license if he didn't leave it in for another year it would be 3 years that he had been paying for this thing. This went on for about six months, Then we called Scott Ennis as we had worked with him before and he knew a lot about DUI courts and the way things work. He made some calls and found out what the problem was, it had to due with software updates the court and DMV had not done , within a couple of hours he had the problem solved. This probably helped a lot of people in the same boat. Thank You, Scott good job

Scott B. Ennis ESQ. Defense Attorney
I've known Scott for years. He has represented our family on both civil and criminal matters. It's in a persons best interest to contact an attorney as soon as possible after an arrest, injury, or potential financial loss. In addition many legal problems can be avoided If a person simply seeks the advise of an attorney. Some people believe just because they "lawyer up" all problems will go away. An excellent attorney will investigate the particular circumstances for each case and consult with the client regarding the apporiate action for addressing the issues. Scott Ennis has provided excellent advise and representation to our family with legal matters potentially affecting our finances and freedom.

Juan J Vera Law Offices
Mr. Kyle explained everything to me in detail. He made sure I knew the process and let me know my bankruptcy shouldn't be a problem at all. He was very honest and has integrity. He didn't want to lie and screw anyone over. I respect the way he conducts his firm. My bankruptcy was discharged July 5th, which I am grateful for. My only complaint is that I did not hear from them much but when I called them, they explained it takes time for court hearings and documents to be filed so there's nothing we can do but wait in the mean time, which I understand because that's just the system. Overall, I am very happy with the outcome and happy with Mr. Kyle's knowledge and expertise. I highly recommend him!

Scott B. Ennis ESQ. Defense Attorney
Scott is an amazing attorney who truly cares about his clients and who will fight for you. I was wrongly charged with a second offense DUI but Scott worked his tail off to fix that. He went to bat for me with the dmv and was able to have them not take my licence, not impose any restrictions upon it. He fought in court for me and was able to reduce my charges from a second offense DUI to a disturbing the peace infraction. He literally saved my life, financially and personally because this would have destroyed me. If you ever need someone to fight for you, Scott is this person. He truly will see justice served and he stands by his clients regardless. Thank you, Scott! You're amazing!

Scott B. Ennis ESQ. Defense Attorney
Scott Ennis has to be the best attorney that I have ever worked with. I owned a business and had the worst business partner ever and he took care of everything for me I never had to deal with her or see her. He will tell you the truth like it or not, some attorneys that I consulted with just told me what I wanted to hear and not the truth. I have had many friends that have used him for DUI"S and they had no jail time, and were very happy with his work and effort to get them off with minimum fines. I will always use him for any legal issues in the future. If you are looking for someone to tell you the truth and truly help you then Scott is your guy.

Muoi Chea Attorney At Law
I had no idea what to expect when I made the phone call to Muoi Chea. I was pleased after that first call and after our first meeting I was very impressed and a lot more secure in my decision to follow through with bankruptcy. Muoi thoroughly explained the process from beginning to end and made sure that my husband and I understood every bit of information presented to us. Everything went great! She was also very organized. All of my documents were in order which contributed to a speedy process. Muoi really knows her stuff! I would most definitely recommend Muoi Chea's legal services.

Law Office of Michael E Gregory
This attorney came to ME for my case. Had me going around my apartment complex snapping pictures looking like a fool. When we went to court he didn't show up. When I received the judgement I called the office to ask them to appeal my judgment which I BELIEVED he did...until I received my eviction notice yesterday. Not only do I have an eviction on my record now for 7 years but I'm also about to be homeless. My husband has 4th stage cancer and is homebound. His reason? He was busy with another case and forgot...how professional is that?
Tips & Advices
When it comes time to choose a lawyer, you should start by searching close to home. If you do have attorneys you are familiar with, ask who they believe would be best for you. After going through personal references - especially from individuals who had similar needs - you should broaden your search through public information resources. You can call your area's attorney referral service or check legal organizations like Martindale-Hubbell. There are other resources available online, such as yellowpages.com. You can check websites for client reviews and other third-party forms of approval.
If you sign documents and you come across a word you don't recognize, or you need help to navigate important employment or real estate paperwork. Also, during times when personal matters intersect with legal proceedings, you might need to have an advocate to prevent your emotions from getting in the way. If you've been accused of a crime or are in a terrible financial situation, you can find an attorney who will work with what you have available.
When you hire a lawyer, you're agreeing to work with someone over a certain period of time. The more forthcoming the lawyer appears to be with individual needs, the better.
  • You need to ask questions about how the attorney will communicate with you and what responsibilities you hold in the relationship.
  • The attorney should let you know the best channel for quick communication and you need to inform him or her when you want updates.
  • You should also ask questions to get to know the attorney as an individual in order to ensure this is a person you can trust. Ask about their legal philosophy and how he or she views the lawyer/client relationship. Ask as how to keep fees down or what daily disruptions you should expect from a long legal battle.
You need to ask about every possible fee that will come up when working with an attorney. You should request a list of all costs in advance so you won't be surprised by additional expenses like overhead. Also determine exactly when you will start being billed. You want to inspect paperwork carefully. If the attorney charges you for his or her experience, you need to make sure he or she will perform tasks personally and not hand it off to an assistant. Find out if the attorney has a flat fee or charges by the hour. Many civil lawyers work on contingency. Make inquiries about how the lawyer plans to provide service for your money and what you can do if you start to feel unsatisfied with his or her performance.
You can ask how many similar cases they have handled and if they have special skills or training that applies specifically to your needs. Lawyers can't mention clients by name, but you should ask for basic details about identical past cases. You should check their office for the appropriate certifications and diplomas. You can also ask how long he or she has practiced law and request information that demonstrates the practice's success. Look for precise details such as percentage of cases settled out of court.
