Sears Appliance Repair
Everything was OK he looked all 4 appliances in about an hour than he gave me prices to renew my service agreement. I thought his overall price and told me it was high, but when I talked to the service agreement department he added an additional 185 dollars on to the orgional quote and told me it was a sales TAX. and he was rude about oit

My repairman was awesome! Totally helpful and knowledgeable.. I ended up having to have my washer replaced, and he took care of everything- called me to confirm and explain the replacement process- and it was so easy- it literally took me less than one week to get the problem identified, get a replacement and get a new one in home!

The repairman came out on the same day I called. He couldn't find anything wrong with my dishwasher and got it to work. (It had no power). The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the dishwasher only worked once and I had to call them again yesterday and now I have to wait 4 days before another technician can come out. I think the control panel is going out. That was the only bad review for this dishwasher. I have had it 1 year.

He was on time, to the minute. His trainer/supervisor was with him and both did an excellent job with the repair. They gave me advice (to swap out the existing 70's 220 outlet, which was dangling by a thread, for a new modern box). I am glad that I took their advice. Saved me from a fire or worse. Thanks, Sears. Once again, you are ROCKSTARS!

Tips & Advices
Aftermarket replacement parts can be perfectly safe and reliable, but be sure to do your research. If replacing a more integral piece, such as washing machine’s water pump or a thermostat for a busted water heater, it might be best to purchase new.
Replacement parts generally come with warranties extending anywhere from 30 days to five years, depending on the original price, the nature of the fix and the age of the part itself.
If you’re seeking new parts repair companies will generally mark up their prices slightly--particularly at a major national retailer. However, used parts are typically discounted.
Cheaper used appliance parts can be found online or at many local, independently owned retailers, along with ecommerce sites such as eBay. Major retailers, however, generally limit their selection to unused, full-priced options.
Second-hand appliance parts are generally anywhere between 50-75% cheaper than new ones, but warranties might not extend as long and the parts may be less reliable or come with a shorter lifespan. Be sure to research the source of any second-hand parts to ensure the dealer is reputable and the part itself reliable.
