I looked at a Nissan Sentra, Mazda SUV 1st. Nissan wouldn't start and upon driving the Mazda the gas was running out. They "charge" the Nissan, convince me they'll give me a new battery if I choose it, only for it to be out of gas when I do test drive it. We go get gas, the car cuts off due to battery AGAIN & we had to wait on a jump. I ended up with a Kia, "great" deal, low mileage, got"approved". Deal "finalized" Fri, got the keys told them to wash it (they only washed outside, I cleaned inside). 3 days later, the deal"didn't go through" Jimmy adds that they were in the process of finding another bank and I needed to come sign a new deal. After 9 text, 5 in which demanded I call. Jimmy said I needed to bring the car bk (I'd just been told an hour prior that everything was worked out & come sign new deal). There wasn't much explanation other than, loan didn't go thru. Who allows you to drive off only to tell you days later, bring it back. I basically had a car rental with this place.
WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! My husband and I came here based on their "wonderful reviews" only to find that the experience was way less than wonderful. We found a car that we liked, took it for a test drive, and we pointed out there were things on the car that still needed to be fixed, and that we were not going to purchase this vehicle UNTIL everything was FIXED. The explanation we got was "it's a used vehicle, and all used vehicles have wear and tear." That maybe true but I bought my car, it's a USED vehicle and runs like a dream, so that shouldn't be an excuse. After tremendous pressuring they coaxed us into closing the deal by them signing a contract saying that they would fix EVERYTHING wrong with the car to our standards. Needless to say, when it was time for them to uphold their end of the contract of fixing EVERYTHING, they decided to be choosey and fixed what they WANTED to fix instead of fixing EVERYTHING like they promised. Jimmy the finance manager then proceeded to tell my husband and me that the dealership is losing money by fixing OUR VEHICLE in it's entirety and that WE would have to go HALF ON THE REPAIRS!!! Ummmm, you're a DEALERSHIP, YOU SELL CARS, THE CARS ARE SUPPOSED TO WORK ALL THE WAY B4 THEY ARE BOUGHT AND DRIVEN OFF YOUR LOT. WHEN YOU SIGN A CONTRACT TO FIX ALL REPAIRS ON A VEHICLE, YOU NEED TO HONOR THE CONTRACT. POINT, BLANK, PERIOD. YOUR DEALERSHIP LOSING MONEY ON REPAIRING OUR VEHICLE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH US, THE BUYERS. After all this headache, it was clear that buying a car from this place was NOT a good idea so we cancelled OUR contract and got our money back, cuz they obviously weren't gonna fix everything, and there is no way that I'm paying $15,826 on a 2006 vehicle that isn't fixed all the way. The owner Lisa was really sweet, but her husband was a complete jerk and was extremely disrespectful to my husband and got into my husband's face when he went to get our money back!!!! You wanna TUSSLE because YOUR dealership didn't uphold YOUR end of OUR contract?? The interesting thing about all this is that we know 4 people who need a car RIGHT NOW, and if they would have just fixed everything like we agreed, and our deal went smoothly, we were gonna send them this way, but we'll pass and so will they. We worked with Jessie when we were closing the deal and she was nice, but we are NEVER going back there EVER again. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!
Don't be fooled by First Union Automotive. They are extremely friendly and helpful until you sign the papers and drive off of the lot. They also screen all of their reviews so that only the positive feedback will be visible. They offer a warranty that doesn't cover anything, and their inspection process is bogus. I purchased a vehicle from them, and I have had nothing but trouble out of it. Before I purchased the car, I pointed out a few issues that I noticed... clutch, bad tires, brakes... They told me that the clutch was fine even though you have to let the pedal out all the way before it starts pulling. I was told that the noise I heard coming from the tires was just "tire noise." They put new brake pads on the car, but they didn't replace/turn the rotors, so they will need to be replaced again soon. Now, the CV axles are popping, the ignition switch/relay/computer may be going out... Keep in mind, I've only had this car for about 2 1/2 months! I take responsibility for being stupid enough to buy the car, but I was in a desperate situation, and they took advantage of me! Beware of First Union Automotive!
