Brakes Xpress and More - GoodYear
Absolutely horrible! I purchased a Groupon for brake pads. Typical scam bait and switch. Avoid like the plague! Tried to charge me $140 additionally on top of the Groupon i bought. Tried telling me I needed new rotors, which were replaced months ago. The dip around The rim is not even as deep as the rear rotors which they said are fine. Said I needed new "sliders" referring to the caliper guide rods, over $60 when a 4 pack is available at AutoZone for $17.99. Of course they have to charge more, they are a business I need to make money but that is just over-the-top despicable. Would not put on the base brake pads the Groupon covered, because "it's recommended for my car to have the upgraded pads". Google typical brake shop scams, and this shop tried them all. When I mentioned the price being ridiculous, the guy said "we can complain about the prices or get working on the car". Horrible experience, not only will I never go there again, I recommend nobody else gets ripped off. The only reason this review is given to stars and not one, is because the first person I spoke to was really nice, pleasant and accommodating.

I went to brakes xpress to get some work done to my car and they did a wonderful job. They did what I wanted and in a very timely manner. The services I wanted got done real quick and an awesome job was done. Mike the owner is a very helpful person. He will tell you what your car needs and not rip you off. I tell all my friends and family to go visit brakes xpress if they need something done to their car. There is no better place to go then brakes xpress. If you want reliable work done to your car and have it done quickly and efficiently I highly recommend that you go here. They always have offers going so they are very reasonable when it comes to paying. You will get what you want done without spending a fortune. Overall best place in town to get something fixed on your car and good service and friendly employees.

Mr Windsheild
After spending, no wasting, most of my morning calling around for quotes, I finally found Mr. Windshield, and was I glad I did. Mr. Windshield's quote was $100 to $150 less the all of the competition, and the others didn't include a new rubber seal if it was needed... and of course it in deed was needed. Not only was the price good, Mr. Windshield was true to their word with how long it was going to take and their workmanship was right on- not to mention how friendly the folks there were. I will not hesitate to go back if I need this kind of service again. I don't leave reviews very often, as I am so very busy, but I truly thought this was worth my time to share. Two thumbs up, and thank you Mr. Windshield for a job well done.

Be weary and listen well because Rob is an excellent up seller. The Brake job Group-on is for "$59 for brake pads or shoes with installation and a lifetime warranty". If you switch up to the ceramic, which the price board says is $10 more, you end up paying for the $50 installation charge. He did discounted the oil change. I almost got the tire bait and switch, where I was about to get a cheap $60 tire for $5 less than the "good" tires because they were "out of the them". The mechanical work seems fine. Be careful of the downsides of the up selling and know what your alternatives are. Oh, and it took 4 hours for a brake job and new tires.

My 2004 taurus was a mess!!! It was going to cost me a ton of cash to get my car fixed. I was told that the compressor on my air conditioner was bad and the clutch was making so much noise and it was frozen. I was afraid the belt was going to break and leave me in the cold. I went to brakes xpress and Mike & Rick fixed it up for me. They did an awesome job at a great price. The motor runs so quiet that I cannot always tell if it is on and since before I went there you could hear me coming a mile away, this was a great improvement in itself. Brakes Xpress works miracles and gets you running!!!

Batteries Shack
For the first time walking into the store I was skeptical about a store that I thought only specialized in batteries.Turns out that there prices are way more reasonable than I would have thought. Not only do they handle way more than just batteries they are also able to compete way above the bigger competitors due to having such superb service and a great technician that fixes just about all systems cheaper than anywhere else in half the amount of time.Whether I have to drive out of my way or not I will Not go anywhere else for advice, service, products.Great store all around :)

Top Quality
Got a tune up, and alignment, and a full engine flush on my last visit for my husband's car. They were relatively busy so the time I waited was understandable but the prices and quality of work were fantastic. I was even given a ride back to my house so I didn't have to wait around for much time. They called me when it was done the same day and I picked it up and my husband says his car is and has been driving much better. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs work done on their vehicle.

Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
