Dr. Mark N. Berkowitz - Accents Cosmetic Surgery and Medical Spa
The entire staff has been very pleasant and professional from the surgery consultant (Fran) to in patient (Jessica) to prep (2 Sherries and Donna); the Anesthesiologist, the Nurse and of course Dr. Berkowitz's expertise, I felt in very capable hands and was very comfortable with the whole procedure. The pre and post operation instructions are impressive as well and (Josh) has been very attentive. I will highly recommend you to anyone else seeking services and you will be my first choice for anything else I might decide. Most importantly let me add that I am extremely pleased with the results!

I have had the pleasure of coming to the Vision Institute for over 10 years. I started out with Dr. Hook and have moved on to Dr. Berkowitz. Everyone at the Institute is welcoming, helpful and friendly. They always try to give quick appointments when necessary. They have many locations in order to accomidate everyone in many areas. I have given them as a reference for eyes, hearing and other cosmetic maladies. They are truly a wonderful organization.

After a previous experience with having Botox injections from a clinical professional, I knew I would only go to a Plastic Surgeon for any future injections and that is when I found Dr. Berkowitz. I am very confident in Dr. Berkowitz and would recommend him. He is knowledgable, the right balance in conservative and aggressive with recommendations, and will spend time with you. Friendly staff with client focus environment.

I took Accents' recommendation for Bellafill to make a more youthful appearance. Dr. B and Josh were patient and careful to keep pain to a minimum - in fact, the pain of the injections was almost absent. At a month in, the experts here are happy with results and so am I. This is my second procedure at Accents, the first was Dr. B's mini-facelift in the surgical center. Those results were also very satisfactory.

I am very pleased with my results so far with the Coolsculpting procedure. It has only even 2 months and already my jeans are fitting better. I used to have the fat hang over the top of my jeans but I slowly see that getting better. I cannot wait to see my final result! I was very happy with the staff as well. Curtious and professional.

I had a great experiance with Dr. Berkowitz and his staff. They all made me feel very comforable and walked me through my entire procedure. I received Juvederm and was very nervous. Dr. Berkowitz walked me through everything and Josh was there to hold my hand! I am hoping the results are as graet as the experiance!

I've been going to Dean Clinic for many years and I've always had service. I never have to wait, I'm seen within a short amount of time. The Dr. is always attentive with me and my health. The staff are a great group of friendly women. I had blood taken without any problems. Overall, I am completely satisfied!

I have gone to Dr Berkowitz for botox, juvederm lip filler and bellafill for my tear trough, temples and cheeks. I have also had 2 facials by Adreanna and received tons of compliments on how great my skin looked. I am beyond happy with my results and the professionalism of Dr Berkowitz and his friendly staff.

The experience at Michigan Hair Restoration was amazing. The procedure was painless and the results were incredible. It's the best thing I have spent my money on in years. If your on the fence on whether or not to get the procedure done, I highly recommend you go forward with it. You will not be disappointed.
Tips & Advices
Academic medical centers provide the widest range of specialty care treatments, including the latest technological advances, clinical trials, and surgical techniques. In general, an academic medical center is a better choice than a community hospital for complicated treatments or rare diseases. Pediatric intensive care, especially, is usually performed at academic medical centers.
Academic medical centers offer a broad range of specialized services, from allergists to urologists. Some of the larger medical centers have entire hospitals or clinics focused on a particular medical service, such as cancer treatment, though specialties vary among the centers. Patients whose community hospital or local doctors do not have the facilities or expertise to address complex medical conditions can be referred by their primary care physician or local specialist to a major medical center (there are more than a dozen in the United States).
Yes. In addition to their inpatient hospital services, medical centers can offer a wide variety of outpatient services, such as pain clinics, rehabilitation centers, surgery, imaging and laboratory, mental health treatment, and outpatient cancer treatment. Medical groups – doctors in private practice but affiliated with the medical center--will also have offices within the medical center.
Physicians, nurses, physician’s assistants, residents, and attending physicians makeup the clinical staff of an academic medical center.
Medical center accreditation is not required, but most centers work voluntarily toward accreditation because it represents higher standards of healthcare quality and patient safety.
