Start to finish, we had such a pleasant experience getting our blinds through Steve's! We recently moved into a new house, and needed to cover over 20 windows. To start, we ordered the free samples as we are new to the blind ordering process. There were so many options for styles and colors (a great problem to have), but the samples allowed us to know exactly what we were ordering. We ended up getting Shutters, cordless cellular shades, and woven woods. The ordering process can be a bit overwhelming, but the website walked through all the options and descriptions/recommendations for each scenario. They also have some helpful tools to stay organized. We were able to label each room as we went, this made life easier when boxes started piling up on the front porch. The cordless cellular and woven woods arrived first and early! We were going to enlist an installer for the job, but they ended up being really easy to hang and all the parts came labeled. My fiancee was worried about the quality of a cordless blind, but the "Steve's Exclusives" are sturdy and retract beautifully. The shutters came a little bit after and were even easier to install than the others! They are great quality, and we had numerous people comment on how well they were packaged for shipment! All the windows look great! When you're moving into a new house, dealing with blinds is the last headache you want to have. We will definitely be referring customers in our new construction neighborhood!

Do not order online!! Make sure you call and speak to a representative and have them walk you through the measuring process. It is not clear. My blinds were 3 inches too short because they count the mounting valance as part of the measurement. Since I started my order online, they told me that I should have known this and should have read their website more carefully. They have a scripted response to this and it appeared obvious that this problem was something they were used to dealing with and were not willing to rectify. Additionally, I ordered the blinds in April and didn't install until August, so, I was outside of the 30 day warranty (of which I was not informed, in fact, I was informed that there was no warranty).The mounts and the slats were okay. The fabric appears quite cheap. Frankly, for $2000, I expected better quality and better customer service. I'll sew a bunting on the bottom to cover the problem and it will look okay, but I'm not at all pleased with the high pressure sales (I would have gotten the same price had I ordered close to the install date vs. the "one time only" deal I got in April), and the mock concern for the issue that was made out to be entirely my fault.Again, make sure you speak with someone and have them WALK YOU THROUGH the measurements.
