I went there yesterday morning, after spending the weekend at the home of my elderly, widowed mother-in-law, to get air in my left front tire, assuming a slow leak. After making it to the automobile dealership where I work, in Hudson County, NJ - as the Finance Director - I had the tire "fixed" by my service department. Unfortunately, the one "plug" installed didn't resolve the issue of a second hole, in close proximity to the one "repaired" by my dealership. I left the dealership, late last night, only to watch a progressive reduction in the PSI reading for this tire, en route to revisiting Tottenville, Staten Island. So, after going through a couple of cans of "Fix-A-Flat" and three stops to put air in the tire, on my way to the palatial home of my "better-half's" affluent family and spending the night there for the "umpteen hundredth" time, this morning I drove to Jo Jo's on Page Avenue. All of the men working there were friendly and efficient. The technician who fixed my flat tire, with a properly installed patch, was in the midst of patching the tire on a Mercedes-Benz when I arrived. He rapidly completed that repair. Then, he took care of patching my tire, all within approximately 25 minutes. I am glad my unfortunate experience, with my own dealership's service department, didn't happen to one of my customers. I'm equally glad that I had Jo Jo's in my mother-in-law's neighborhood, to go to when I needed a quick and professional repair, on the spot and with no fanfare and zero aggravation. Anyone who would think that $17 for a properly-done tire repair is too much, in my opinion, is clueless. These people are friendly, efficient, and competent. What more could anyone ever hope for? I strongly recommend anyone in this area of Staten Island, who needs automotive repairs or tires, to give Jo Jo's an opportunity to make them a fan. A generous tip - to the technician - was clearly called for, in my case. Now, I know why - every time I drive by 125 Page Avenue - Jo Jo's always appears to be "busy" with a car, truck, or SUV on every lift and several vehicles in their parking lot. Apparently, they do a lot more than fix flat tires, with the same high level of professionalism and friendliness that I experienced, for a host of people who come to them with a wide variety of "mechanical issues" that need immediate attention.
These guys are the best! I trust my car with only their shop! Have been using them for 17 yrs. now, and my husband and his mother many more.To be honest , sometimes you have to wait a couple of days, but its worth the wait. They are in high demand. I believe because they are honest, fair , loyal and all around great people...good luck finding that today in any business. Once I went on vacation, and while I was away my husband decided to surprise me and get some work done to 'MY" car. Then I realized that MG Auto was not open, because they were on vacation. I lost my mind when I realized he had taking my car somewhere else. He said "I was trying to do something nice." I said "Its like taking me or the kids to another Doc" They are NOT all the same. Please dont ever take my car to anyone else! We were over charged and I also felt violated. Wanted to share this story, to get the message out there. You put the lives of everyone that goes into your vehicle, so dont just let anyone touch it that you dont trust. After picking up my new 2013 Cadillac XTS that same weekend I had a front end collision Saturday night on the Staten Island Express Way driving towards Brooklyn. After being towed off the high way, by the rudest tow truck driver I've ever met in my life, a friend of mine told me about Anthony at Wave Street Auto Body. After contacting Anthony and meeting with him, he immediately arranged for a tow truck to remove my car from the shop it was at and rental to come pick me up. When I got to the shop, I met with Jay and Anthony and they put me at ease about the damage and assured me that my car would look and drive as good as it did when I first picked it up from the dealer the week before. Anthony sat down with me and together we called my insurance company and put a claim in. Exactly twelve days later I received a call that my car was completed. I couldn't believe it when I picked it up. I must say Jay and Anthony are men of their word, I picked up my Cadillac just like the day I got it from Maguire. There's probably not enough room to write my wonderful experience here but I'll try to keep it short. I've been a loyal customer with Hyundai for the last 12 years. The service I received from stepping into the showroom was exceptional!! I was greeted by Matt Delise the salesman who was extremely courteous, honest, and knowledgeable with the Hyundai brand. I can't say enough!! Then, I was greeted by Chris Belicchio the manager, and made me feel like I knew him for a lifetime. At a time of financial concerns he was able to match me in a vehicle within my means without making me feel uncomfortable. Rocco Trentacosta the finance man got the deal done with much hard work and determination. My hope is that these fine employees receive the credit they surely deserve. Sal went above and beyond in helping me find a car that fit my needs and budget. It was the first time I was leasing a car and he walked me through all the details. Not once did I feel like he was hiding anything from me; rather, he was very easy to reach through phone, e-mail, and text. For example, I was concerned when the car didn't start (the steering wheel was locked) but Sal was more than happy to help me find a answer, even late at night. I also had issues getting documents to my insurance agent and Sal offered me the use of his fax machine. I was afraid that once I had signed the lease, the kindness I was getting would soon be replaced with curtness. Rather, I was pleasantly surprised that when I went over, it was apparent that the whole team knew who I was, not just Sal. This was my first time moving away from a dealer and trying my luck with an Auto Leasing Company. A buddy of mine used Xclusive and told me that I should try it. We contacted Abe on a Thursday night, I told him the car I was interested in and he blew me away witht he price. I went to see him on Saturday and in 15 minutes agreed on a purchase. The car was delivered on Monday afternoon and after about 20 minutes I was out the door driving away.Abe was fantastic, not pushy at all, extremely professional. I usually dread going to buy a car, I hate the whole process at a dealership. There's no fighting here, there's no "let me talk to my manager". I couldn't be happier. I just turned 36 and this was my first new car and leasing experience. Dennis Pustylnikov at Island Subaru in Staten Island, NY could not have been a better sales person. I walked in after lunch on a Tuesday afternoon and asked for Dennis. I drove off the lot in my beautiful, manufactured in Indiana, 2017 Subaru Outback at 6:30p. I was covered top to bottom with insurance, registration and an excellent working knowledge of my new car. Dennis had great knowledge and bedside manner. He personally checked out my trade in vehicle, transferred my existing license plates from old to new car and made sure I drove off the lot to my favorite music streaming from my phone.
