Jay Quin Contracting Inc
I first used Jay-Quin Contracting about 18 months ago when I had my master bath remodeled. Jay Quin was very knowledgeable in what I wanted and even offered suggestions on the design of the project. The finished results was more than I had hoped for. The job came out amazing. I receive compliments on the looks and workmanship from everyone who has seen the bathroom. Jay and his crew were reliable, always arriving on time, professional, courteous and Jay cares about his customers. His crew was always friendly and cleaned up after they were finished for the day. The project was finished on time and I couldn't ask for more in a contractor. Recently Jay-Quin rebuilt and installed storage doors on my garage. I have had numerous neighbors ask who did the doors and I wouldn't hesitate referring Jay-Quin to them. I plan on having my kitchen remodeled and concrete work done and will always use Jay-Quin Contracting for all my home improvement needs. If you're looking for a contractor who is professional, knowledgeable, honest and reliable, then look no further.

After googling Staten Island contractors, checking websites, interviewing contractors and getting competitive bids, we chose Jay-Quin Contracting, Inc. as our contractor. The bids were all very competitive and any one of them would have done a good job. However, our renovation project was unique, as we saw it. We were doing a total renovation of three floors and living in the home throughout. Jay Quinones, the owner of Jay-Quin Contracting, impressed us from the first day that we met him as a person who would see the job done right and work with us thru the process. His team is a group of very courteous men who showed up on time, worked with us on other items that came up, and cleaned up after themselves. Lorenzo, Jimmy and Scott were long term employees of Jay’s and were very experienced. We can honestly say that Jay and his team came to us as strangers and, after doing very good work, left as friends. We would definitely recommend Jay-Quin Contracting, Inc. to others looking for experienced home improvement contractors!

Jay and his workers made us the Faberge of Brooklyn bathrooms. I cannot praise their work more highly. After walking me through possible permutations of the reno, what supplies we'd need and where to get them, Jay turned what is an incredibly small, disgusting and broken-down bathroom that hadn't seen any TLC for decades into a room I wish I had more excuse to stay in. When discussing design of the bathroom, Jay was open to my pre-formed ideas and great at figuring out what would work and what wouldn't. It was a gut-reno with a simple design, took 1.5wks and, beyond staying in budget, Jay went out of his way to add details I was sorry I hadn't initially thought of (like a heat lamp) and kept us updated the entire time. He handled interactions with the neighbors wonderfully, was good at communicating progress and great at discussing changes as we went. Awesome awesome job and what a delightful outcome.

We hired Jay Quin Contracting Inc. for a complete bathroom renovation. Jay's bid for this project was midrange, however, after checking various websites for customer satisfaction, we decided to use his company. The project included all new waste lines, all new supply lines, mold resistant wall boards, and new sub floors. He designed a custom walk in shower with both a rain forest shower head and hand held detachable shower wand. He also installed bead board wainscoting over walls with a layer of skim coat. The walk in shower with its frameless glass walls, creates a real open feeling in this odd shaped small room. The floor and wall tiles are perfectly set, and each seam was carefully sealed. His workers were polite, professional and very neat, ensuring that the worksite and their path were swept daily. Jay worked well with us and brought our vision of our perfect bathroom to fruition.

Aunt Butchies of Brooklyn
I booked a rehearsal dinner for my sons wedding, I had spoken to them several times prior to the event. The dinner was to accommodated 23 people, We were packed like sardines into the back right of the restaurant. A screen served to separate the next big party on the left. When I arrived the room was not ready. I asked the servers when it would be ready they kept saying 5 minutes, until after 1/2 hr I was able to get the manager. The manager cleaned up what was left on the tables. I ordered beer and wine. Only red wine was on the table. We had only one server for the party. He did the best he could under the circumstances. Over all I would not recommend having an event at this establishment. Food was so so. I ordered the salmon it did not look or taste like any salmon I have had. Total disappointment. Never going back there. Maybe they should stick to deserts!

I hired Jay Quin Contracting to replace a set of basement stairs and install pavers in my backyard. The work they did was outstanding and was beyond and thing I could expect. After they completed this work I rehired them to create a room in the basement. They explained the whole plan before starting. Jay Quin Contracting is an excellent company that strives to fully satisfy. They truly listened to my desires and made sure to explain all possible options and limitations that could lie ahead. They have a trustworthy, courteous and hardworking group of craftsman. The end was everything and more than I was hoping for. You made my family very happy and proud of all the work you did. Thank you!

I needed to add a bathroom for my elderly parent on the first floor of my home. Jay was very helpful in making suggestions that would accomodate her needs. He made you feel like he was part of the family. Everything needed to be done from soup to nuts, (toilet, sink, shower with seat etc). They needed to build the walls and installed a pocket door. The work was done in a week and at a reasonable price. The workers were always pleasant and professional. I was pleased at the quality of the workmanship. I would highly recommend Jay Quinn to family and friends without hesitation. Pat

Italianissimo Restaurant
Italianissimo Restaurant is under new management, Chef Franco is sole proprietor and his great cooking skills will give you that experience you'll always want in a good restaurant. All those stories about rude owners and other complaints are not describing this hidden gem, one of the best places to eat in Staten Island. Great wine selection, early bird menus and awesome appetizers.

Wife loved her coconut chicken. My $35.00 rib eye was unetable. Thought it was not rib eye, thought was donkey meat. Very tough and full of tendens. Was to come smothered with mushrooms and onions. There were none, just a trusted piece of cooked whatever. At least the coffee was good. Gave 2 stars because son and wife liked. Bottle of wine went up $6.00 from 3 weeks weeks ago.

Fiore Di Mare
Altough the food was quite good, the service was horrendous. We experienced a similar situation at this restaurant last year, but chalked it up to a new waitess and a holiday weekend. As frequent restaurant diners, we should know better than to go out on Mothers' Day weekend! Only went back to support them post Sandy. NEVER again.
