American Puppy Grooming
My daughter took her 2 pound yorkie there last week. A gift that I had given her. It is the worst butcher job we have ever seen on a puppy. She has tried a couple time to call Robin to no avail. She then left a message on there Facebook page and was blocked. If you love your little fuzzy babies I have one thing to say. RUN !!!

Worse place ever they are very rude. I had to take my dog to the vet after being there. They cut his ears on the inside and cut his belly. Didn't say anything to me this happend and got upset when our vet said that it was from the groomers. I went and talked to them, they didn't act surprise at all that this happened they did pay the vet bill after awhile. I decided to try them again a couple years later and they said no they can NEVER take my dog again because I made them pay the vet bill. Seriously I had to rush my dog to the doctor. They obviously do NOT care about animals like you would expect from a person in that business.

I love this groomer! They take great pride in taking care of my two dogs! My dogs always look & smell great when I pick them up. I get compliments about the way they have been groomed. They are quite reasonable & I recommend them any chance I get!

American Puppy Grooming
I thought I would take advantage of a coupon I got in the mail and try a new groomer. I took my 2 year old Maltese/American Eskimo for her first grooming. When we got home she began to slink around the room with her tail tucked and was snapping at her tail. When we looked at her private area, she had been clipper burned all around her pee pee and actually nicked at the base. We took her to the vet and he said it was a bad burn and gave her a shot and gave me some pain meds and instructions costing me $70.00 This is day 2 and she refuses to pee and even poop. Her spirit is broken and she won't even play ball which she loves to do.

The Barker Shop III
Had no idea there was such a great groomer close to home. My dog looks better than he ever has and even my husband noticed. They do take their time, he was there 3 hours, but he is a Silky, so they take a while to groom anyway. But as good as he looks, it was well worth it.
Tips & Advices
Many people fear that their pet will be injured at the groomer, but incidents of serious injury are infrequent. For minor injuries , it is appropriate the groomer pay the vet bill, and can usually be worked out between groomer and owner. For moderate to severe injuries, you can attempt to activate groomer’s liability insurance to cover medical expenses. However, be aware that most groomer contracts stipulate that the business does not assume responsibility.
Staff at groomers know that there is inherent risk when handling animals, and they are familiar with being snapped at or bitten. However, it is not a normal occurrence or something you should ignore. Many people choose to cover medical expenses or pay extra--at minimum, apologize and get the dog into behavior classes. It is a given that  you should sedate or muzzle the animal for all future grooming sessions.
It is always recommended to make an appointment to get your pet groomed. While some groomers, especially in the larger pet stores, can accommodate with short notice, popular neighborhood groomers are often booked out two weeks out or longer on weekends.
If your pet has sensitive skin, let the groomer know when you set the appointment. But be aware, all dogs have sensitive skin by human standards--their skin is much thinner. Therefore, you should be on the lookout for signs of sensitivity, and reduce it through regular grooming with gentle, natural shampoo and conditioner. Oatmeal shampoo is a favorite. Daily brushouts and omega oil supplements are recommended for every day at-home care.
For various reasons including insurance clauses and pet-owner relationship dynamics and behaviors, groomers prefer owners don’t stay with their pets while being groomed.
