RUDE EXPERIENCE WITH MANAGER AT BRUNCH ON NOV 5, 2017if I could rate this zero I would...My family of 12 people and I had made reservations for 12 people for my 72nd birthday....some were having the brunch and some wanted lunch. I was told by Sophie on the phone when I made the reservations that they would have 2 tables put together to split the people having the brunch and those that were having lunch. When we got there they gave us 2 tables for a total of 12 people and put them together but shortly later the Manager on duty came over and was extremely RUDE and told us we could not split our order we would have to ALL have either brunch or all have lunch...that is not what Sophie told me at the time I made the reservation. This Manager's behavior was so obnoxious and rude and he would not allow us to order what we wanted. My whole family of 12 stood up and left. NEVER will I eat at their restaurant again and I will be sure to spread the word to all my friends and family how rudely we were treated..This obnoxious individual of a Manager didn't even care that we left. It's a total DISGRACE what he put me and my family through on my birthday and people should know how they have no respect for their customers whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Porch Restaurant at The Lamb
This once was a favorite of my family and we used it for special dinners, e.g. birthdays. Our last visit there was really spoiled by the server. The server announced to us, total strangers, right away, "my son died last week". What do you think that did to the meal? Her service was chaotic. She disappeared - no one could find her. My husband looked in the kitchen and saw her happily chatting with the chef - she did not look bereaved. I did talk to a manager the next day, I was just asking for better staff training and stronger management presence. The person was arrogant to the point of rudeness, almost hostile. We have not returned. Chaos and arrogance are the house specialties

Do not go there ! It used to be nice years ago -- The calamari was pure grease. The rigatoni with sausage in what was supposed to be white sauce =was watered down chicken broth with undercooked pasta........... The Service is poor at best. The drinks are mediocre and they don't even separate out the craft beer properly so you order one thing and get another...........Went home with a stomach ache ====horrible greasy food ! POOR POOR Service ...Don't know what happened to Tavola!

The Porch Restaurant at The Lamb
I'm not sure how this restaurant was in the past, but my experiences have been GREAT. The atmosphere was sophisticated, but casual. The staff and servers were helpful and very accommodating to my family when we walked in without a reservation, it only took them a few minutes to have our party of 10 set. The menu is diverse and had something for everyone. My stuffed mushroom caps and blackened salmon were awesome!

Stay away. Went to the late seating for Mother's Day Brunch, if I could give this hole a zero I would.Where to begin?Curdled cream for coffee.Send the pancakes & waffles to the skating rink down the street, good for ice hockey only or as a weapon of mass destruction.Had two nice waitresses, but when they started breaking down the room they sent a real winner. When I told her about the hockey pucks, her reply was "I don't have anything to do with the kitchen".Poorly executed Lox, no toaster available for mediocre bagels. One bread station had no cream cheese. No typical accoutraments - chopped egg, sliced onion, tomatoes. The roast beef still had whip marks on it from the the third race at Philadelhphia Park. One of the stations had fish on it that had been through a war.The shrimp boat sank, with shrimp swimming in a foot deep bath of room temperature water. I passed. Not a lot for the kiddo's. When they started breaking down the room, they kept giving us the bum rush taking plates & the boy's chocolate milks away.Ice cream gloriously presented in a 1963 cooler with delapidated lids, and the products 2 1/2 feet at the bottom. Real delicacy ice cream favors that you can buy at the corner store for 50 cents each.Overall, a very poorly executed buffet. A poorly spent $220 for 6 adults & 2 kids, Concordville Inn or anywhere in Philly next time.

Just a moment...
