Family Auto Repair
Family Auto Repair is the best auto repair shop I've ever used. My wife and I have used them for a few years and they are outstanding. Once they fix a problem it stays fixed. Our car has 350,000 miles on it and it is still cruising down the road thanks to them. They charge a very fair price. They are the first mechanic I've ever been to that I've felt like I didn't pay them enough for the work they did. Our truck hit the age where it needed a new timing belt and the dealership was going to charge an incredible amount of money. Family Auto put in a new timing belt, fix a problem with a sticky brake, took care of a squeaky clutch, and ran a diagnostic on the air conditioner for less than half of what the dealership wanted just for the timing belt. When I told the owner how much the dealership was going to charge, he just shook his head. The truck has been running great with the new timing belt. When it comes to auto repair, Family Auto is definitely as good as it gets!

Dave and Chris were absolutely amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better car buying experience. This was my first time buying a car, and there was no pressure for me to buy. When I first walked through the doors, Dave was eager to help. I already knew exactly what I wanted and he allowed me to review the vehicle independently. Once I returned from the test drive, Chris was also there to greet me. We were able to negotiate a fair offer on the car and that was the easiest part! I couldn't believe how reasonable and personable they both were! Very patient too. I decided that day to sleep on the offer and they were more than happy to give me the time. I returned that Monday to purchase the car and they really proved themselves! Dave worked and worked to get me the best rate possible, which of course, I am so thankful for! I drove away healthy (without stress), confident and happy with my 2014 Toyota Corolla!

I took my Jeep in for an oil change and tire rotation at Rick's. I found out just before my appointment that I needed to be across town for a meeting 45 min after my appointment was scheduled. When I checked in for my appointment, I told this to the gentleman at the front desk and he immediately went to check with the mechanics to see how quickly they could get the work done. They said they could do it so they immediately got to work. Thirty minutes later my oil was changed, tires rotated and an inspection was conducted. When they explained to me what they found on the inspection, they spoke to me professionally and treated me with respect, not talking down to me. They alerted me to a few issues and gave me an idea of the urgency level of each issue without being alarmist or pushing me to make an appointment to get the issues fixed on the spot. I would recommend them for quick, professional service.

I have been on a crazy search for a Chrysler and went to many large dealerships and felt pressured and pushed into buying a car. Most salesmen would beat around the bush anytime I had any questions or anything. I had Noah helping me out with a 2009 Chrysler and didn't end up purchasing the vehicle just because of history with it, but I definitely felt comfortable there and didn't feel pressured into buying the car and they let me drive the car to the shop so I could see it pass inspections and talk to the mechanics there as well. This was definitely the best experience I have had in the process of purchasing a used vehicle. I would highly recommend this group to anyone looking to buy a car and not get screwed over. Everyone was really honest with me and ultimately wanted me to feel comfortable with every decision I made.

So far so good. A lot of the complaints seem to be from people who couldn't pay their bills or didn't take long enough inspecting the car. Prices are a bit high, but thats expected since pretty much anyone can walk in there with a downpayment and drive out with a car. I love the SUV I bought from them. I was a little surprised about having to pay sales tax but it will be okay. The tires on the truck aren't great, but will last through winter. Every single thing works on it. All fluids were checked and they were at fill level perfectly. I want to hurry up and get my tax return to put down more money on the truck and get my payments lowered. There are many options to get the payments where you'd like. The staff are really friendly too and didn't pressure us into buying anything.

About a month ago, my car broke down. In the mean time, it has been with 4 different mechanics. One replaced my starter, another replaced my fuel pump, I paid labor and diagnostic fees. Almost 500 dollars put into my car, and it still wouldn't start. I took it to the dealership and they charged me $125.00, to tell me it was my computer module and that it would cost me $2,400.00 to repair. Someone told me to try Ricks Automotive. These guys Are Amazing! They worked hard on my car and on saving me money. They were able to fix my car for under a thousand dollars. I would of been able to save another 500 if I had taken it to them in the first place. Thank You Rick's Automotive for all of your hard work, you guys Rock!

Archie's Auto Sales
To Whom It May Concern:As it was explained at the time this issue arose Archie's Hog City/ Auto sales was bound by Law as How this matter was handled! The finance company was aware of the consignment and had notified Archie that the bike was NOT to leave his property with out a verified release from said finance company. The Consignment agreement had been made by the father Not his children. Yes a storage fee was charged after a sale was refused. We will not even get into the other labor or expenses that I had tied up into this bike.Archie's Hog City/ Auto Sales is a business not just a buddy on the corner, so if the gentlemen’s children did not or do not understand that fact We Do Apologize!

When I came to Willard Motor, i just came to look (I swear!) but after dealing with Corey I left that day with my dream car! He showed me the 2008 H3 Alpha- the greatest car i've ever owned! He not only offered me an incredible deal on my Equinox, he set me up with the warranty package, and was never pushy during the buying process! I came prepared with a pre-approved loan from my credit union- Corey beat it by 4.5%!!! I had an issue recently with my car and didn't have the warranty information so I called up Corey and he took care of everything. I brought my little sister to look at cars there because I totally trust these guys! I will forever buy cars from them and recommend them to anyone!

Bob's Garage
I had a 2007 Ford 5.4 liter v-8 with 117421 miles that I was told by two shops to replace. I remembered a friend speaking highly of Bob's garage. So called and told Larry (The owner) my problems with my engine he called my a few minutes later with a price for total overhauling the motor the price was literally half of the others for twice the work. It took him and his crew a week and they did the best job I've ever seen, total attention to detail and general quality work. The truck runs great I'm sold on Bob's garage I recommend Larry and his crew to anyone.

My daughter bought her first car here today. This wasn't like a normal dealership, they were more like friends. No pressure, i just love them. They told us to call them even if i have problems down the road, maybe they can help get cheaper parts or service... And call if i had maintenance questions. This was the greatest experience for a young girl to have. Unfortunately the rest of the auto world isn't like that. Also, they came down quite a bit so she could have the car. Great day!!. Also, it was a quality car, just like new. We will come back here.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
