The directors, nurses, and assistants are all so kind attentive and caring and there is a lot of social activity to be enjoyed also. My room was a private one with lovely decor, making me feel like I was in my own bedroom at home, which is all so very important for recovery. I felt like I received the best therapy treatment given by excellent professionals. A million thanks to all the staff of angels there.

Phoenix Home Care came to be as a result of our commitment to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Each of our principles has experienced the need for home care for our own loved ones. Each has understood what truly matters. It is that desire to share the freedom of new beginnings that drives the team at Phoenix Home Care. There are many home health care agencies in the marketplace. On the outside they all pretty much look the same. It is inside that matters - - the culture. We have set out to distinguish ourselves through the selection of our people, the client-focused training of our highly-skilled caregivers and the value-based leadership practices of our management.

Unfortunately my experience at CHC in Nixa was one of the worst. I was actually starting to be impressed with the interaction between the nursing staff and the people living there. But then I heard the Administrator and the Director of Nurses having a loud , cussing, arguement in the front hall of the facility. My mother nor anyone else that I can get this message to will not be placing there family members in this facility. My suggestion is to remove these two from there positions,, if this is there idea of being professionsl, then they need to be flipping burgers somewhere,

My husband and I started working for The Neighborhoods at Quail Creek before they opened their doors. In the beginning everything was great. Now they are no different than any other nursing facility. They treat their employees like dirt. My husband was working 2 jobs. Third shift at Quail Creek then he'd deliver mail the next morning. He got offered a different position at the Post Office and decided to take it and put in his 2 week notice. He was working both jobs back to back for several days in a row and physically couldn't do it anymore and quit 4 days before his notice was up. We were aware that any unpaid wages would be dropped down to minimum wage (which I think is unfair considering that CNA's don't get paid enough as it is). During this time the company had already cut my husband a check (before he quit) and it was waiting for him to pick up. When he received it he didn't get the original check he was supposed to get. The administrator Michelle Brown (who's already been under investigation for ethics) decided to personally write him a check with $250 less than what he was supposed to get. We couldn't believe it. The company had already paid him! What she did was dirty. We have 4 children and two are having a party this weekend. She not only stole from my husband, but she stole from my kids. He still had another check he needed to pick up and that was the one that was expected to be garnished. I don't see how they can do this. Of course corporate big wigs could care less about a CNA. They are all about the money. If they treat their employees poorly then how do you think they will take care of the residents? In the end it's the residents who suffer because nobody will want to work there with the way they treat people. Even if what they did was "legally" right its unethical and lacks in integrity. There are some great employees at Quail Creek who deserve better than this. I don't understand how they can be in the business of helping people then do them this way. Don't let the fancy building fool you. The people running it are crooks.

If you are considering a nursing home for a family member, please consider Magnolia Square. It's at 1502 W Edgewood in Springfield. My late husband was a resident of Magnolia Square for 5 years. I visited him nearly every day and thus am in a position to know about the care. The nurses and CNA's are so knowledgeable and caring. He was never uncomfortable or in pain. They took such excellent care of him that I'm sure he lived much longer than he would have otherwise. I looked at many nursing homes when he was first injured, and I can tell you that this is the best one. You can trust the care of your loved one to Magnolia Square. They will be treated like family.

Beautiful facility and that is about it. We expected an "Alzheimer's Special Care Unit" but it is anything but that. Not only is there not enough staff for the need of the patients, but the staff is untrained and many times unprofessional. The leaders of this facility fall short of the founders wishes to create a facility for the specified needs of an Alzheimer's patient. Maple Wood is just another nursing home and not a good one at that. Patients would constantly be begging to be taken to the bathroom or to get them a drink of water and there was very rarely anyone available to help them. Patients would sit for hours in the same place with no interaction. The problems we had here became severe and concerning and I would never recommend such a place to anyone. Maple Wood was created with a grand vision to become the perfect place for Alzheimer's patients to get the special care they need. Don't believe the marketing and don't believe the sales pitch you get when you visit. All that glitters isn't gold.

people probably are not coming to yp if they are searching for a care center. my experience is limited with this center however overall i was impressed with the staff and cleanliness. the residents appear to be well taken care of. my only complaint was the amount of time it took for staff to answer the call button. i would recommend this facility if you are in need.
