Crash Magic Extreme Auto Body
I brought my 1967 classic car to have the bodywork, primer, complete paint, front cap assembled, and emblems installed. Here is my assessment of crash magic. Pro: price was right and extras were reasonable and warranted. Good quality paint job for the money and in some areas he went above and behind.Cons: first ken does not use a computer. I sent dozens of photos, schematics, and all illustrations needed to complete the car. I did not know he uses a 4 inch screen on his phone for his computer as he did not follow any of them.6 of 12 emblems were not installed. Front bumper brackets were not installed, inner fenders supports were not installed. The parts on the front cap that were installed had most of the bolts loose. After I picked up the car I was forced to disassemble the front cap to install these items and line up the fenders.Ken cut corners on the lower rear panel body work which required more body work and spot paint from another shop.He did not install front grill.Ken does not take notes of what you tell him. I mentioned to him to paint under the roof drip rails on three occasions. Well he refused to and seem surprised every time. I had another body shop to complete the paint on the rails. He did not completely paint the rear spoiler. I had another shop complete the paint. He had the car for over 2 months. The paint had more flaws than I was expecting. 3 of the flaws were bad enough that I paid another shop to fix them. My overall assessment is such: if your modern car needs body and fender work he will do you a good job at a good price. If you have a classic car or in need of a restoration DO NOT bring it to crash magic.

Family Auto Repair
Family Auto Repair is the best auto repair shop I've ever used. My wife and I have used them for a few years and they are outstanding. Once they fix a problem it stays fixed. Our car has 350,000 miles on it and it is still cruising down the road thanks to them. They charge a very fair price. They are the first mechanic I've ever been to that I've felt like I didn't pay them enough for the work they did. Our truck hit the age where it needed a new timing belt and the dealership was going to charge an incredible amount of money. Family Auto put in a new timing belt, fix a problem with a sticky brake, took care of a squeaky clutch, and ran a diagnostic on the air conditioner for less than half of what the dealership wanted just for the timing belt. When I told the owner how much the dealership was going to charge, he just shook his head. The truck has been running great with the new timing belt. When it comes to auto repair, Family Auto is definitely as good as it gets!

Rick's Automotive
I took my Jeep in for an oil change and tire rotation at Rick's. I found out just before my appointment that I needed to be across town for a meeting 45 min after my appointment was scheduled. When I checked in for my appointment, I told this to the gentleman at the front desk and he immediately went to check with the mechanics to see how quickly they could get the work done. They said they could do it so they immediately got to work. Thirty minutes later my oil was changed, tires rotated and an inspection was conducted. When they explained to me what they found on the inspection, they spoke to me professionally and treated me with respect, not talking down to me. They alerted me to a few issues and gave me an idea of the urgency level of each issue without being alarmist or pushing me to make an appointment to get the issues fixed on the spot. I would recommend them for quick, professional service.

Rick's Automotive
About a month ago, my car broke down. In the mean time, it has been with 4 different mechanics. One replaced my starter, another replaced my fuel pump, I paid labor and diagnostic fees. Almost 500 dollars put into my car, and it still wouldn't start. I took it to the dealership and they charged me $125.00, to tell me it was my computer module and that it would cost me $2,400.00 to repair. Someone told me to try Ricks Automotive. These guys Are Amazing! They worked hard on my car and on saving me money. They were able to fix my car for under a thousand dollars. I would of been able to save another 500 if I had taken it to them in the first place. Thank You Rick's Automotive for all of your hard work, you guys Rock!

Bob's Garage
I had a 2007 Ford 5.4 liter v-8 with 117421 miles that I was told by two shops to replace. I remembered a friend speaking highly of Bob's garage. So called and told Larry (The owner) my problems with my engine he called my a few minutes later with a price for total overhauling the motor the price was literally half of the others for twice the work. It took him and his crew a week and they did the best job I've ever seen, total attention to detail and general quality work. The truck runs great I'm sold on Bob's garage I recommend Larry and his crew to anyone.

Graham Automotive
Honest and reliable guys!! Took my truck into them yesterday. I paid up front for what was thought to be a transfer case.. After further inspection they discovered it was a repair that didn't cost as much and gave me $140. back with having to ask them the cost difference.. Most repair shops would never be truthful and honest like that.. They would of took the money and fixed the least expensive problem... I'm glad we found a honest machinic because that's nearly impossible anymore!

Swope Automotive
This is scott swope, the owner of swope automotive. The review below is a total farse. I have never had a single customer pay that much for sensors and a computer, in fact i have only replaced 3 engine computers in the 5 years i have been opened and only one was for a starting issue, that bill was only $214 that the guy (former friend) never paid for. I suspect that a competitor is trying to tarnish our reputation. Don't believe everything you read!

Premier Towing Services Inc
I couldn't have had a better experience with a towing company than I had this weekend. I was on a tight time line. I called Premier, let them know where my truck was and where I needed it towed to. I left the keys in it for them, and went on with my day. They called me with the bill a couple hours later; and I was a bit surprised that it was as low as it was. $70 to have it towed from east Springfield to Willard Fast Lube.

Scott's Sunshine Automotive
I would recommend Scott's Sunshine Automotive to all my friends and family because of his great customer service and fair prices. I brought in my '98 Mustang to get the oil changed. He was very straight forward with the prices. He immediatly brought it in, and got the job done very quickly so I did not have to wait long. Therefore I would highly reccomend bringing in your car to Scott's Sunshine Automotive for great service.

Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
