Call's Auto Body Ltd
This place did a great job with my truck.  Got rear-ended by a kid who fell asleep at the wheel and didn't even hit the brakes at a stop-light.  Bill had my truck done quickly, and it looks new again.  He even fixed some scratches that weren't from the wreck and didn't charge me.  My son works for a local car dealership, and they send cars to him all the time.  I drive for a living, so unfortunately, stuff happens, but I've found a great place to take my truck when it does.

Ball Ernie Auto Body Unlimited
You know when you've met an artist. It doesn't happen very often. Ernie is an artist. And when you visit his shop you know it. His son and his employees are artists. They are unassuming and kind. But they are the real deal - rare and special. I've never been more impressed. It doesn't matter what work you go for, from stock work to incredible art - there is no better. My job was a solid color to match stock. What I got is singularly beautiful. The cost was more than reasonable. The turnaround was fast. It's the stock color, yet it's subtly and indescribably different - deeper, jumps, sparkles. I wish I could find better words. Go here. You'll be glad you did. Wow.

AVOID AT ALL COST! Con artist, thief and crook! Paid for project in advance and had owner sign contract agreement. After 1 1/2 years of my vehicle sitting at his shop and countless excuses as to why no progress had been made, I removed vehicle and had refund contract signed by owner. To date no $ have been refunded. Does not return calls and has more excuses. Filed claim with BBB (F rating) and state of Illinois attorney general. Do some research on this guy and see that he has been to small claims court twice this year (Sangamon County Circuit Clerk website) and is approaching his third appearance with me. Again, BEWARE!

Kulavics Auto
I was rear ended December 2010. They took longer than the insurance allowed for the rental car and had to beg the insurance company for 1 more day. If that wasn't bad enough the rear defroster didn't work and a couple of inside trim pieces were missing. I took it back to get fixed and they assured me that we fixed and tested it and it works fine. They also installed the missing trim pieces. The rear defroster still didn't work. By this time it was getting warmer and hard for me to test so I waited until it got cooler and took it in to get fixed. It worked this time for the most part. There was still one small section that wasn't defrosting but by this time I was tired of dealing with them and was going to let it pass. The first day that I really needed to use it, about a week after it was "fixed", I was sitting in a parking lot with my back facing a building with no traffic around. Nothing could have possibly hit the window. I get ready to get out of my car and I hear a "pop" and the rear window cracks. I told Kulavics what had happened, thinking they would fix it because there was obviously a defect in the glass or installation, or both. They told me they would not do anything because I have no proof and that anything could have happened to it. With all of the problems I've had with this window, I thought they would have figured out that the window was defective. I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone.
Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
