Kimbrough Dental Care
I love these people! My son and I have seen Dr. Scott Kimbrough for many different issues; cleanings, bonding, fillings, extractions. This is the best dental office in town. They always make you feel comfortable. The staff are wonderful, truly caring people. Atmosphere is spic n span, and pricing is very fair. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. If you need the best dentists around, call Kimbrough and Kimbrough.

I went in for a routine cleaning and check up and was told I needed to have a root canal done that day. When I asked about payments, I was told I would be paying 1/2 ($290) that day and the other 1/2 later. I also let them know I have severe anxiety and have panic attacks. No one ever explained anything to me before, during or after, so I had no idea what they were doing in my mouth. During the root canal, they caused me to bleed too much so they had to put in a filling and I had to come back. The dentist barely spoke to and still no one gave me instructions on how to care for the tooth until the next visit. I came back, where they continued the root canal and then informed me that they would be putting in a temp crown rather than the perm one because they had yet to send off for my perm crown, causing another visit. When I went to pay for the 2nd 1/2 of my payment. I was required to pay $440 instead of $290 I was originally quoted. Today I went in to get the perm crown. Again, nothing was explained to me and the new hygienist I had apparently knew nothing about my anxiety even though it should have been in my chart. They then could not get my temp crown out because it was not put in properly the 1st time causing me to panic. The dentist had to come in and cut the temp crown into pieces to get it out of my mouth. Once they put in the perm crown she kept asking me if it felt right to which I kept said no, it did not. Eventually she said it didn't matter and that she was leaving it the way it was. So now I have a tooth that does not feel right in my mouth and hits my bottom teeth anytime I chew causing a very painful sensation. In the end I asked them to refund the amount they overcharged me, and to send my records to another dentists office. Honestly I feel like I should not have paid anything for the poor service/poor quality of work that I was shown during my visits to this office. If you're considering a dentist, please, stay far away from Sunset Avenue Dental.

I will never again schedule an appointment here and I strongly encourage you not to! I was treated horribly by the staff at the smile center in Springdale Ar. The office ladies were very spiteful and demeaning to me as a person. I didn't know customer service could get this bad. I decided against allowing them to work on my teeth because I figured a dentist that allows customers to be treated in this manner isn't trustworthy for a cleaning!

DO NOT see these people.. Have a fear of dentists? Run like h***!!! Their motto is we cater to cowards. Yeah... they cater by poking fun at you with nice gestures like laughing and rolling their eyes when you try to talk to them about the panic attack youre about to have. OH.. and they like to talk about patients to other employees. Your time and money should be spent somewhere that actually gives a s***. The people are RUDE. Especially the last hygenist I had. I was having problems with the bite wing xray so she rolled her eyes and stomped off to get some "help". She didnt get as far as she thought though because I could still hear her talking about the "b**** in room soandso". I let that one go. Then the dr came in. Looked nice enough. NOPE. I think he was even more rude than his hygenist. That was fun. Then I received pricing for some simple filings and a crown... almost double a quote I got from another office. So I called and spoke to the nicest receptionist. (I think she should get out of there before they corrupt her into a heartless b****). Speaking of bitches, please pray that you NEVER have to deal with the treatment coordinator. EVER. I have some dental work that I'm having to have some fillings redone because of their shotty workmanship also. Dont bother try to contact the Better Business Bureau about them either. They're not accredited.

The staff was very kind and helpful. Ramona is the only hygienist I would ever trust. She helped me overcome my dental work fears over the years. Full disclosure--she's my cousin. But she's still an excellent hygienist.

Sunset Avenue Dental
WORST SERVICE EVER! I went there to do a root cannel and their dentist messed it up. I ended up have to spend another extra 5000 to do an implant. Should have spend a little more for other dentists. Now im in a process of getting a refund and when they tell you they will call you back, DONT TRUST THEM. They don't ever call back unless you have an upcoming appointment! I will never ever go there again.

The first time I went there I waited 40minutes to be called back I was the only one there. They gave me antibiotics. Now my doc is out of the office I went again. I got called back quickly for a few minute I have had a cough for 16 days chills aches sweats. The doctor literally talkes to me under five minutes said I going to write you a stronger antibiotic and started to walk out and I said what do I have he said we will call it upper respiratory... walked out. The only one I like is the nurse he spent more time and actually cared.

Great people! I got in and out in a reasonable time, the staff communicated very well, and it was quite affordable!
Tips & Advices
The most common dental problems in children are:
  • Cavities
  • Bad breath
  • Gum disease
  • Sensitive teeth
  • Grinding
  • Canker sores
  • Missing teeth
  • Extra teeth
  • Bite and alignment issues
Thumb sucking is not specifically a dental problem, but it can cause a malocclusion, a condition where the top and bottom teeth don't line up correctly.
To clean a baby's teeth, use a small, soft-bristled toothbrush designed specifically for infants. Apply a tiny amount of non-fluoride toothpaste - about the size of a grain of rice - and gently brush all sides of the teeth and the tongue. Before the baby's first teeth emerge, use gauze or a wet washcloth wrapped around the finger to wipe the gums. This motion doesn't necessarily reduce bacteria, but it does help the infant to get used to the sensation of having his or her teeth cleaned.
Children should visit their pediatric dentist every six months. This recommended frequency does not change throughout a person's lifetime.
No, wisdom teeth do not need to be removed unless they cause pain, lead to dental issues, or are aligned incorrectly.
Yes, dental sealants prevent cavities by filling in deep grooves in the teeth. Without them, bacteria can collect in these areas and cause tooth decay, which can happen with children.
