Johannesen Painting, Inc.
Johannesen Painting owner is ignoring multiple requests to fix painting issues which does not reflect his quality and guarantee statement.Johannesen Painting Inc was paid a steep price, $1000, to paint kitchen island and stove hood surround using lacquer paint. Mr. Johannesen stated his company does quality work thus the price tag. Within a couple of months, I noticed paint was peeling and areas along the bottom and corners where the stain wood below was showing through. It appeared the paint was unevenly applied. He came by to evaluate, but since then has not responded to multiple communication attempts to resolve. The resolution would take no longer than 1-1.5 hours, including set up and clean up. I provided multiple dates of availabilities to accommodate, even weekends. He was quick to request for payment during and the day the job was to be completed, but is not standing behind the work.

I went to a salon I had visited in the past, and the service was terrible. They put me in a chair and left me there for 20 minutes and no one even greeted me - so I left (which is so unlike me!). I had seen the salon right below the mall on my travels, so I went there. The service was amazing! I was greeted when I walked in and everyone was so gracious! Micki did my nails and she did an AMAZING job--best ever!! It lasted forever. Nails by Dan is now my go-to salon! I am so thankful I found this salon!

This place is wonderful. My husband and I went here and had amazing pedicures! Hot stones, great massages, hot towels. My husbands heels were terrible and he left there with them soft smooth and no cracks! It was the perfect amount of time too. All staff are very professional. Will be back!

Love this place!! Hazel is great!! She always does a wonderful job. The price is little high, however, you get what you pay for and I love my nails. Every time I been there the results are great.

Excellent service! Very relaxing and very nice! I am so glad I ignored the one bad review. I am from California and needed a nice relaxing pedicure and manicure. I would come again.

The designs are awesome but the nail sculpting is definitely lacking. The place is tiny but they get the job done. I would agree that the owner isn't friendly.

Tips & Advices
For a long-lasting paint job, a clean wall is crucial. Ask how they plan to clean your walls, if at all, before getting started. A high-quality company will thoroughly prepare a wall so that the paint will lay smoothly and last a long time.
Yes. A well-established company will have more experience and likely more references for you to reach out to than a new company that's just getting off the ground. Be sure to ask for references so you can speak to former customers about their experience working with the painter. When speaking to these people, ask about:
  • Whether they had issues with the crew
  • If the painters were messy or neat
  • How the paint has held up since the project was completed
The quality of the paint will affect how good the walls look when the project is completed. If your contractor says they plan on using a paint you don't like, feel free to request an alternative.
If the contractor makes a point to train new hires on safety techniques as well as quality standards on the job, you're probably in good hands.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of cases where a painter has stolen items from a home or caused damage to the house or injury to the homeowner. Subcontractors may not be as skilled as employees, and the contractor you're hiring may not have much experience working with them, making them more of a risk. Additionally, ask if the painters are employees or subcontractors, and what the screening or hiring process is like.

Just a moment...
