Vicky is a rude, manipulative, and money hungry monster. She lied to me several times and put me in a really uncomfortable position that made me decide to leave the studio after being in it for no more than 3 days. It didn't take me long to see through the bs, but the studio was really dirty and it had a gloomy feel to it so it wasn't such a big deal.

Koenig School of Dance
Not very impressed with my daughters instructor, Hillary. I have 15 years of classical ballet under my belt, and bunions to prove it, after eleven years of instruction, attained a scholarship into visual and performance arts school majoring in ballet for four years, and I can tell you her instructor is not qualified to teach young children...she rolls her eyes impatiently at students trying to learn (3-5 year old students), singles out students, making them cry and has never offered support or feedback. My daughter was so traumatized that this instructor chastised a younger student in front of the class and parents that she has a lack of interest in ballet and a lack of interest in this instructor. Her class goes as follows, the children go in, they do stretches, then a couple steps of ballet as a whole, one step each with the instructor (as she roles her eyes at inexperienced children 3-5 years of age) she then tells the kids "it's tap time" and shuffles them out of the room, the students run to their parents to remove their ballet shoes and put on taps shoes, they then proceed into the class to do 4 or 5 shuffles for 10-15 minutes and get a sucker from the instructor. It's basically as torturous and just as rude as a trip into a Walmart store. My daughter has learned very little, in fact she learns more from watching me but I wanted her to gain the experience in a class setting, this was not at all what I received as a child, my instructors were strict but they were respectful, confident, and professional. Not getting this at Koenig at all and I do not want my daughter to lose interest in such a beneficial disciplinary art that is both graceful and beautiful, that has given me grace, strength and confidence throughout my years. If you are wanting your child to learn a type of childish, meaningless dance from a caddie instructor then this is the place for you. It certainly doesn't offer real ballet instructors nor ballet instructions. Not for my daughter, we will be removing her to find a more professional ballet studio.

Reading the reviews I was at a loss. I went to all local dance studios around me and found Vick Michelle dance studio. I decided to ask about the history and found out that some of her wonderful teachers retired/ moved after being with the studio for years. She had a few years of trying to find reliable and knowledgeable teachers, so I'm guess that was the time period of all the unhappy clients. My daughter has been there for a year now and I couldn't be more happy! I have even had some friends sign there children up and they have had an amazing experience. All the instructors and staff are wonderful and are willing to work with you. Like any business you are obligated to pay for the services you use. If you are signed up for the recital, VM allows you to make monthly payments instead of having to pay up front ( so as a parent with bills I appreciate not having to pay a lump sum). the facility has cameras and windows in each dance room and a huge gym for young cheer/tumblers. The bathrooms and waiting rooms are clean. There is a snack bar and a boutique as well. I noticed some of the reviews were a few years old and wanted to share my knowledge. Couldn't be happier with VM!

I love WE!!!! A gym based on family is something my family and I have been waiting for!! All staff are welcoming, and the managers are kind and understanding. Funny, I was actually there the day the previous commenter was asked to leave!! Her children were ripping apart the window and screaming bloody murder...so I guess you could call that playing, but damage was definitely done! I usually just bring toys for my 2 year old. Anyhow, I love the facility and my kids feel at home! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Great school. I'm a mother of a special needs child that is excelling do to their dance program. The staff is both loving and extrenely professional. Affordable rates. No nickel and diming here. Very honest. It's a joy to see my son coming out of his classroom with a smile on his face feeling he was "just on of the team"!

NHPA Dance Studios
The teachers at NHPA are true artists that are passionate about their work. They put technique as a priority and are always sweet with the little ones and able to keep them focused. Their choreography is innovative and fresh. NHPA staff all are still in their dance prime, and feed their knowlege and creativity in their own professional performances with Revolve Dance Company, and by continuing their education in classes taken in NYC, LA and have even traveled to Italy. My son has danced at NHPA for over 6 years. It started with Tap, Jazz & Hip Hop. Then he added Ballet & began dancing in the competitive Company's groups, solo and duet/trios. He started demonstrating and is now assisting younger dancer's classes. At age 16 he now loves Lyrical Ballet the most and wants to dance and study business in college.Whether your child wants to just take a few classes, or become a professional dancer as a career, you will be pleased with NHPA. It is always "open curtain", so you can see your dancer's progress.
