Blessed A/C & Heating
ALWAYS my go-to guy for any AC or heat issues. Jim is an honest man and is very responsive to any requests for work. I've recommended him to friends and they've always been pleased.

The A/C Guy
Bought a $7000 system from these guys and although the install went smoothly, 1) they forgot to seal the system and 2) the AC compressor (lifetime warranty) stopped working after one summer in Houston. Scary, really. Goodman is one of their brands.

Suncoast AC & Appliance Service
We had a complete air conditioning system installed from the ground up by this company and wrote them a check for 7000$ which of course they were more than happy to cash.It was suppose to be covered for one year labor through the company 10 years and a lifetime warranty respectively on the parts. One of the best warranties on the market. After only a few weeks the unit in the attic was covered in water. The ducts are actually so wet now they're coming loose. The excess water has not only filled the secondary drain pan but is getting the plywood and attic space wet.I received one visit by the owner himself who was unable to correct the problem and the issue has of course has gotten worse by the day. The company now has completely disappeared. We have called repeatedly over several days leaving message after message with no reply and no call back from the office, the owner, or the technician who left me his card and sold me on the fact that he was only a phone call away. This is a far cry from the sales pitch we received believe me.Our only recourse is to now file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's Office, The Better Business Bureau, and with HVAC licensing in Texas and legal action And to get it fixed by real professionals out of our own pocket.Do Not make the same mistake we did and avoid this company or it could cost you too.

Gossett Air Conditioning
This company came out to do a simple drain pipe, shortly after, about 2.5 weeks later, NOTHING turns on. I called them back to have them do a courtesy check to see if something may have been shut off by accident, and guess what? SERVICE FEE involved $89. Don't trust this company. They could've came out to do a courtesy check, because that's what good customer service is all about, and how you retain and gain customers. I know my system has been working fine, and once I call them, something goes wrong. It could be a simple switch left down, and they want to charge for a courtesy. Unbelievable.

Air National AC & Heating of Houston Inc
The guys where great. They came out and replaced a 13yr old unit with no issues. They where late for their designated start time but made up for it in speed of installation. The unit works great and cools the house with no issues. The summer is coming so this will be the test but I already notice the unit working great at a higher setting so they helped make the right choice of units. Thanks Air National keep up the good work.

I will never work with this company again. They replaced my first AC unit about a year ago. I was not impressed with it but I decided to give them another chance and have them replace my 2nd unit. I while before they started replacing the 2nd Unit I noticed that the first Unit started to leak water. They said my drain was clogged. A week later it was still leaking. Again they said my drain was clogged and they would clean it again. That did not stop the leak. It turn out that when they placed the unit a year ago it was not done right and the insulation inside was not properly fitted. That caused the unit to condense on the outside and that was the reason for the leaks. Because of all that water ran over the pan and caused damage.DAY 1: They installed the 2nd unit, the technician did not run a 3 wire cable to the unit outside to make sure the 2 stage pump would run properly. He told me it was not needed. I complained to his supervisor and they needed to come back to replace the cableDAY 2: They replaced the wire and they told me that they would send someone to fix the Sheetrock that had water damage from the first unit. DAY 3: Nobody showed up. Called to ask why. Another appointment was placedDAY 4: The person showed up to take "measurements" to see what scaffold he would have to use. (They knew that a scaffold was needed)Day 5: Another person arrived (surprised to see how high up there he had to work and told me he needed a scaffold)DAY 6: Person arrived with scaffold and did the repairsWhen I paid for the 2nd unit I gave them my credit card number and I would withhold $1000 until it was fixes. Well guess what, they ran my credit card a week later before the repairs were done. I disputed it with my bank.I called them to see if we can come to some agreement and they said yes. The technician came to my house and we discussed a zoning system. He would quote me a couple of days later.I told him that was ok. He also said he would work with me on the $1000. We are now a week later and they charged the card a 2nd time for $1000. I disputed again but unfortunately my dispute was denied.

I wish I could give this company negative stars unfortunately can't. Here it goes bought my 2 AC units about three and a half years for my house that's now six years old. This company suggested it's too expensive to fix the units than to buy needless to say I bought brand new units from them for over six thousand dollars of the two one has already died on me. When I called the company I was met with the rudest customer service. They were not only rude but also implied I was lying until I pulled out the paperwork I saved from that transaction. Then they said they'll probably cover the parts but I'll be responsible for labor not only that I will have to pay for them to come out to even look at the unit. I even agreed to that... I am a physician by trade have three kids under five years old and dealing with Texas heat..... I took time off to wait for the technician who never showed.

Viking Air Conditioning
We have been using Viking ever since Hurricane Ike. After finally having power restored to our house one of our a/c units would not work. We called 3 different a/c companies to tell us what was wrong and an estimate on repairs. The first 2 told us the unit was not repairable and they just happened to have units back at their warehouse that they could give us a good deal on. Dave from Viking came and looked at it. He said there is a switch on the unit that helps the unit not freeze up north. Since our winters are nothing like what they are up north, he disconnected that switch and the unit is still working with no problems. Dave still comes to our house for check ups on the units and he came this week to make a repair to our other unit. The final bill came to be $75 less than what he originally estimated. We have recommended Viking to many of our friends.
Tips & Advices
You can keep your air conditioner running efficiently with some preventative care measures. Shut off the power to your AC before cleaning it or performing any of these tasks:  clean your filter at least twice a year; remove leaves and twigs from cages; clean the fins with a garden hose or special spray, then use a butter knife to straighten any that are crooked; keep your yard clean so the fins won't get blocked; cover the unit up for winter; and make sure it's level or you run the risk of damaging the inner workings of the unit.
To clean your air conditioner drain, first shut off the power to your unit at both the thermostat and the breaker. Then remove the drain pan. If the pan is full of water, soak up the liquid with a few towels or rags or use a wet vacuum. You can use a solution of water and distilled vinegar, or substitute peroxide for the vinegar, to clean out the drain pipe. Let the pipe sit for a while in the solution and then put all the parts back in place. Once you start using your air conditioner on a regular basis, check it periodically to ensure condensation isn't building up.
If you happen to live in a hot and humid area of the country, drainage problems can occur with your unit since moisture can trap itself inside the system. Routine maintenance can cut down on drainage issues by cleaning out any mold or algae from blocking the drain. If you notice moldy smells whenever you turn the thermostat down, check on your system.
If you notice your system is acting inconsistently, the sensor is most likely out of place. Turn off the unit and reach behind its control panel while carefully bending the sensor back into place near the evaporative coil.
Find out where the noises are coming from. A banging or clanking sound could be due to a loose part. If you hear a hissing sound, it's most likely because of a refrigerant leak and you should contact an HVAC technician as soon as possible.
