We found it a bit unusual to be car shopping on a Sunday, but we spotted a vehicle online that we were really anxious to see ... interior and exterior colors, trim level and equipment were exactly what we wanted. Fred Haas has two Toyota stores in the Spring area, one closed on Saturday and open on Sunday. We were surprised to see the number of folks in the showroom ... but despite the crowd, we were greeted promptly, and introduced to Beth Elliott of the Internet sales department (yes, there really is one), who explained that she had a customer coming in shortly, but will try to get us started, rather than having us wait for an available salesperson. She was courteous, knowledgeable, and eager to answer our questions. As it turned out, the RAV4 we had in mind was at the closed location (to Beth's credit, we didn't get the line, "Oh, that car's been sold."), and she assured us that we'd be welcome to come back the next day.Right at that time, her customer with an appointment arrived, and we were turned over to Manny Gomez, who immediately earned our confidence. He's a young, intelligent, personable guy, with thorough knowledge of the products. For comparison purposes, we test drove an XLE, the model just below the one we came to see, and concluded that we wanted the Limited after all. The inventory didn't show anything that attracted us ... but Manny took the time to peruse the entire lot with us by golf cart, stating that what's in the computer isn't necessarily up to date (his words, "they're always behind"), and it's possible that something might have come in within the past few days ... nothing ventured, nothing gained. We were amazed at how he was able to tell one model from the next (including interior colors) without even leaving the cart.As luck would have it, he did find a vehicle that would work well for us ... way in the back, waiting to be prepped, and not showing on inventory. After gathering the paperwork, he quoted us a price that, while a bit below sticker, was not yet in our comfort zone. This is the part of buying process that we don't particularly care for, although we do understand the reason for it. We're veteran negotiators (both in purchasing automobiles and as Realtors), and after going back and forth a few times, came to terms. Throughout the process, Manny was low-key, very professional, didn't pull that, "This price is only good for today!" crap, and treated us as valued customers. After a brief wait, we met with Alex Saaverdra of the finance department. Since we were paying cash, the process was simple, and we were out in less than ten minutes. He didn't pressure us about all those extra warranties, but did explain them, as he's required to do (not to mention that he makes a few bucks off them). We declined them all ... not a problem.What particularly impressed us was the fact that there's a staff of individuals assigned to "introduce" buyers to their new vehicles. With all the technology on today's automobiles, it's most welcome. We left the dealership confident that we could at least get the hang of all that stuff, and knowing that we have a resource, in the event that something stumps us.On the way home, we remarked almost simultaneously that this experience was probably the best (certainly in the top two) we've encountered in our fifteen car purchases over the years. From the beginning, everyone met or exceeded our expectations ... almost unheard of in the industry. The price we paid was more than fair (and we did research the hell out of it). Our home is in the Bellaire area, and Toyota dealers abound within a few minutes' drive. We've dealt with them all (including one that we really like, but we couldn't make the numbers work there). The drive to Spring was well worth it. We wholeheartedly recommend both the dealership and the personnel we dealt with.

I want to let you know of the astounding service we received from your salesman Mauricio Coto. We came in a couple of Sundays ago based upon an ad that we saw about a vehicle that listed at $3000. That was our budget and it was all we had. Marurico greeted us the moment we walked onto the lot and immediately put us at ease. We had been to many other car lots where salesmen made it very clear to us that our budget was unrealistic and basically made us feel inadequate, didnt help or kept trying to get us to spend more money than we had. Maruricio on the other hand, made it clear to us, that yes, it was a small budget, but he would make a deal happen - it was the first time I felt like we might actually be able to get a car. Our first Sunday at your lot was unsuccessful, but Maruricio took down all our info and told us he would be in touch within about 3 to 4 days once he'd had some time to look into the new inventory. I trusted him completely and didn't even nother to look while I was waiting for his call - I got my call as promised. To make a long story short, I was able to increase my budget just a bit and Maruricio stood true to his promise and got us a great first car for our 16 year old daughter. You have one incredible fine gentleman working for you and we are truly grateful for all the hard work he did to obtain a vehicle for us. But, we are especially appreciative of the wonderful and respectful way he treated us even though we were a small sale. We will definitely come back and buy another car from Maruricio and I will highly recommend him to my friends and family.

Your sales person Cameron Young was very helpful and very accommodating. I will ask my friends to look for him when they go to you dealership. We were a little surprised to learn that the vehicle we initially chose already had 1200+ miles in it! It looks like it has been test driven for quite a while. We finally settled on a car that has 1 mile odometer reading.My wife and I were disappointed when we went to sign the contract. Prior to that, your floor manager gave us a 3.9% APR for 72 months because of our excellent credit score. He explained to me that with that score I could take it to any bank and I would get the best rate. The actual APR however was 4.99% and Mr. Juan Martinez in Finance explained that that's the way Ford Credit works. Whatever happened to the excellent credit score? - it looks like it was not a factor at all! It was a pleasant car-buying experience for us except for: 1) first choice car having 1200+ miles and the final 4.99% APR we got.Thank you and I would appreciate if you can somehow explain the higher APR to us and if the credit score has a bearing at all!

My past car buying experiences at other dealerships have generally been more pain than fun. Cars are expensive and buying one should be a good time! Searching for my Alfa was similar. Some dealers were a little helpful, others acted like I was wasting their time. The guys at Northside were different. Just before I bought, I did a web inquiry with three dealerships about the Alfas they had in stock and Northside is the only one that responded. Fortunately they were the ones with the car I was most interested in. Amy responded first to tell me Brandon would be getting in touch then, Brandon responded then Ryan emailed me to say let him know if I didn't get the info I needed from Brandon. Brandon quickly sent me a photo of the window sticker of the one I was most interested in, as I requested, so I could see the options. No hard sell, just the info I needed and quickly. When I went in to buy, driving my 19.5 year old beater of a BMW, everyone was very friendly and helpful

My Son in Law and I live in Missouri and were looking for a specific Subaru that this dealership had on hand. I contacted Carlos Herrera and started the discussions about the car. He was very professional in providing me and my son in law with a current video of the car and numerous close up pictures that my son in law wanted to see. Since we were a long way away it was very important that there were no surprises. Carlos was very timely in providing the information and price updates and he made us feel comfortable in a long distance purchase. When we arrived and inspected the car there were a few small surprises but Carlos and the fine staff at the dealership were able to get the vehicle ready to go. The paperwork was quick and we were able to get back on the road quickly. All of the staff were courteous and very helpful. Overall we got an excellent value in the car and a very good experience.

We first started with the website. We found the truck we were looking for at the price we wanted. We contacted the dealership to see if it was still on the lot and it was. We were put in touch with Bill Lynch right away and made the hour and a half drive up from West Katy. When we arrived we found Bill right away and went to look at the truck. There had already been a lot of interest in this particular truck. After a quick test drive we knew this was the truck we wanted. Bill got us going on financing right away and we were able to set up the terms to our satisfaction. Once the deal was done, Kevin and the delivery team were thorough and offered lots of valuable advice. The truck, Bill, Kevin and the whole experience was second to none. Thank You. The Planet Ford operation is a model for the rest of the industry.

Campbell's is AMAZING! We are customers for life!!!!We took my daughter's 03 Jeep Liberty to a shop on Louetta and after 8 hours they said it was probably the rod bearings and the entire engine needed to be replaced with a low mileage used engine for $3700. Or a new engine for $5700. A quick search online led me to Campbells and all the incredible reviews. I called and spoke with Craig, who was very informative and very polite. They picked the Jeep up at the first shop the next morning and by noon Craig called, explained everything to me in great detail and quoted a total cost of $1600. Craig was so thorough and informative, even taking me into the shop to see for myself the actual problem.It's rare to see such honesty and customer service in one place, but Craig and the entire shop are truly remarkable!

My husband and I recently purchased a new Tacoma for Fred Hass Toyota World. The entire experience was wonderful from beginning to end, and thanks to the best car sales person ever, the buying of an automobile was the most pleasurable of all. Our salesperson, Genady Ilkinko, was the perfect person for the job. He was prompt getting us as we drove up. A big smile was there too He asked what we were looking for. We told him, and he promptly showed us what was in inventory. We made an offer, the dealership made a couner offer in record time. We countered the dealers offer and they came back very promptly with an acceptance. Genady had pulled of the shortish-time sales ever, and we were tickled with Genady's efforts. Thanks for people like Genady.

Second experience purchasing a car at planet. Excellent customer service and attention to detail. Victor is an amazing salesperson. Car was delivered the same day and Victor worked very hard. Most dealerships won't even consider delivering your car at the end of a Sat night. My respects to the staff that made it happen in such short notice from the car detailer to Víctor to the sales manager Jaime to the finance manager Thomas. The hustle and sacrifice to satisfy the customer was unreal. The technology, staff, and inventory size make this dealership one of the best in the country. Everything on point and always making sure I was satisfied. Never felt pressured. Planet will be the place I go To make it a third purchase at planet.
Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
