I think this establishment does a great job and went above and beyond for me to ensure that I was satisfied with my used Dishwasher purchase. As state, I purchased a used Dishwasher and due to my own installation errors, I couldn't get it to work once installed. The gentleman that helped me with the purchase did state to me that the machine was checked thoroughly before placing it on the sales floor. He also stated that 99% of the time, it's installation error when a customer calls stating that the appliance doesn't work. However, the gentleman did stop by that evening, on his own time, after work to look at the Dishwasher and determined quickly that I had no power coming to the machine. It took me 5 minutes to hunt for the disconnect wire in the power box and the Dishwasher ran fine! So, he was correct, but still went out of his way to help and didn't charge me for coming out to the residence to take a look at the Dishwasher! It's a tough business selling reconditioned appliances and I witnessed, while I was in the store, people being very rude and short with the guy at the counter. Bottom line, I think Appliance Recycling & Wholesale is a great business to work with and is the best option if buying new appliances is out of your price range. If you treat people the way you want to be treated, it's amazing what the results can be.

My husband and I were loyal customers, having bought several appliances . Recently the we had a problem with the dryer but it still ran. We decided to buy a new washer/dryer from a large retailer. A family member was in need of a freezer so we had recommended your business. We told them take our washer and dryer for a trade in, which when purchased we were told they give cash/trade on used appliances running or not. The washing machine was not even 2 years old and in great shape. The dryer did need a repair but still worked, and the freezer didn't run but could be used for parts. They were offered 20 dollars for all 3, the washer almost new. Since they had loaded all 3 appliances up and wasted the gas they took the offer so they wouldn't have to haul them home. I was stunned at how poorly our family was treated. When they say we will buy/trade your old/new appliances, what they really mean is screw loyal customers and treat referrals poorly. We know how hard it is to run a small local business and make a profit, we own a small local business our selves. We will never use or recommend your business again. Really 20 dollars for a new Kenmore washing machine!! Never ever waste your time with this business.

I'm tired of other companies hiring or asking friends and family to write bad reviews against hard working small business owners who are just trying to live the so called American dream of actually making a mark in this country. To any of you who say that your appliance guarantee wasn't honored I'm sure it had a lot to do with the way you approached the situation or the claim that you sabotaged the piece of machinery was validated by a trained repair tech who has no reason to lie about his job to you or for his job. I have done business with this establishment for several years and have nothing but the highest regard for it's employees and owner who have honored there word to me in every purchase I have ever made from them.

Sears Appliance Repair
Fantastic service! Was able to schedule online (very convenient) for next-day service. I was able to schedule for a 4-hour window, and the morning of service received confirmation of a more narrow 2- hour window via both email and text. Repair technicians were so friendly and helpful! My washer was back up and running quickly, with a Sears guarantee! The appliance store where I bought the machine was not able to come for 2+ weeks. I will definitely get my next appliances from Sears! Highly recommend.

Sears Appliance Repair
I though the service was very good. He was able to diagnose the problem and fix it in no time at all.Of course it was expensive but he showed me what it would cost before the repair so no surprises. I loved being able to schedule the appt.online. I feel like Sears Appliance Repair will be our go to repair place when we can't do it ourselves.

I have to say that I have been doing business with them for over 15 years. I am a landlord and make a fair amount of purchases from them and I have been more than satisfied I still have appliances from them that go way back. I would say they have been good to me and I will keep going back.

We live 8 miles NW of Deer Park and have appreciated having a local Sears. The repairman was on time and professional, showed me the piece of glasss that had clogged our dishwasher pump, and made sure it worked before he left. Excellent experience!

Tips & Advices
Aftermarket replacement parts can be perfectly safe and reliable, but be sure to do your research. If replacing a more integral piece, such as washing machine’s water pump or a thermostat for a busted water heater, it might be best to purchase new.
Replacement parts generally come with warranties extending anywhere from 30 days to five years, depending on the original price, the nature of the fix and the age of the part itself.
If you’re seeking new parts repair companies will generally mark up their prices slightly--particularly at a major national retailer. However, used parts are typically discounted.
Cheaper used appliance parts can be found online or at many local, independently owned retailers, along with ecommerce sites such as eBay. Major retailers, however, generally limit their selection to unused, full-priced options.
Second-hand appliance parts are generally anywhere between 50-75% cheaper than new ones, but warranties might not extend as long and the parts may be less reliable or come with a shorter lifespan. Be sure to research the source of any second-hand parts to ensure the dealer is reputable and the part itself reliable.
