Watts Wheel & Driveline Service
Horrible experience. Not only did I wait 2 months to get my driveline back, it was too long when I went to install it. I had gone there in the past with good service but the last time was bad and the time before was slow. I called several times to get my driveline back with a promise that it would be done and they would deliver it to me but that never happened. I finally went there and waited at the business for 10 yours for them to finish it. When I called to complain about it I was told that it was the owner who was working on my driveline and so there was nothing that they could do.

Andy's Auto Repair
Matny times I have needed minor & major repairs to my daughter-in-laws van. Andy has been right there to help out. Great work & fast repairs so we were never without a car for more than one night. That was because we had to wait for parts delivery the next morning.

Rob's Automotive Repair
Rob and his guys are skilled mechanics! I've been taking my family's vehicles ('09 Escalade, '08 Malibu, '05 STS, '95 F250) to him since I stumbled upon his shop when I moved to town in 2012.The biggest reason I go back to Rob for every repair I can't do on my own is his honesty and integrity! If other shops have said that something's going to leave you stranded if you don't pay $$$$ today, Rob will be a breath of fresh air. He will tell you how long something will last and what your risks of delaying repair will be - and won't lie! AMAZING!I've never had a problem with the work he's done and the costs are BETTER than reasonable! If you're really needing to save money on a repair, talk to him first and see what options you have! This is the only shop that I won't hesitate to send friends and family to.

Andy's Auto Repair
Wow - Andy's our hero! Our car broke down driving from Seattle to Spokane on our way to my mom's memorial service late on Friday afternoon. AAA called Andy's after a few others who were closing for the weekend, and he said he "might" be able to get to it Saturday after 3 other jobs in front of ours. We got the car towed there late Friday, and took him the keys Sat. AM. Saturday mid-afternoon I got a call from Andy that not only did he determine it was definitely the fuel pump, but he was pretty sure he could fix it that day. I'm sure partly due to my circumstances and some compassion on his part, he stayed over 2 hours past closing to make sure our car was fixed!! We've now arrived back home with no problems, and have a hard working, honest & reliable mechanic to refer our friends & acquaintances to in the future.

Arrow Auto Repair
I was extremely satisfied by them being upfront and honest, and by working in a very timely manner. I took my Dodge Dakota Sport here because it was having idling problems that I suspected were caused by sensors. It was throwing 2 different codes and Arrow Auto Repair was able to determine which one was the source and after replacing the crankshaft sensor cleared both problems. They also showed me other problems that I would eventually need to address but weren't pushy about fixing it, which is what I have experienced from my dealerships and auto repair shops. I will definitely come back here if I need anymore work on my pickup.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
