Lena Hair Salon
Lena's salon is my choice in spokane. I have been coming to have her cut, style and highlight my hair for about 5 years now. When she highlights. My hair is very gray underneath so Lena dyes to my natural color first, then does whole (two) color highlights that accent the base color...and as Lena says. (Make you look younger). I must say I get more complements on my style than from any other sylist. She also she does many foils, not just the very limited amount that some places use. Her daughter LeeAnne styles my hair to perfection! These girls work so hard, it is so much of a pleasure to go see them. If your real lucky, Monica will discuss her/your recent book reading list and Amanda provides the standup comedy and will keep you smiling...Lena's prices are fair and she is always willing to take you even as a walk in...go see this awesome salon and be ready to look gorgeous! Thanks girls for your professionalism and friendship....

Manito Tap House
Quite a unique little place. You blink and you'll miss it, but upon entering it's a low key environment with a wide range of music and rustic decor. The waitress was more than informative on the menu and went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after throughout the meal. The menu prices are a little spendy, but I would consider them well worth it as the food was delicious and everything is made from scratch (down to the ketchup and mustard!) I would definitely recommend their chef burger and, if you like a smokey taste with a little spice, black mac and cheese. I definitely recommend giving this place a try, even IF the selection of 49 beers on tap isn't attractive to you.

Lena Hair Salon
After moving to Spokane it was really hard for me to find a talented stylist to do my hair. After trying different salons and having my hair done by unhappy and underpaid stylists I found Lena Hair Salon just driving by. She is the owner, she is very talented, and she definitely knows how to run her business. I've seen people of all ages coming to her salon and she always has a smile for everyone. If she's busy with a client, her daughter Lee Ann will wash and dry your hair and take care of you until Lena is ready to do your hair. I've been using Lena's services for three years and I highly recommend her. She offers great services for a great price! Many thanks Lena and Lee Ann!

Lena Hair Salon
I learned about Lena Hair Salon from a friend and gave it a try. Lena was very friendly and helpful when I couldn't decide the hairstyle. I had long hair for a long time and wanted to cut my hair short for a change. I was so afraid of experiencing a bad hair cut that I became almost too picky. Lena was very patient with me. I'm still happy with my new hair cut, especially when people compliment me on how the style just fits me perfectly. The salon now provides manicure, pedicure and facial with a surprisingly cheaper price. I did my pedicure on the same day I got my hair cut for only $17. I would highly recommend the salon and have been doing that.

Dr. Stacey Wade Steeves, MD
I think very highly of Dr. Steeves. I have seen many neurologists and the majority have been very arrogant. Dr. Steeves doesn't talk "down to you." I have recommended Dr. Steeves to many friends. I hope that I didn't "burn my bridge with him;" One of the assistants left a message on my answering machine to reschedule. She didn't leave a date and said that she would call back. She did, gave my wife the information, but my wife neglected to relay the information to me (Her bad). Just recently I went in for an appointment, but I was a day late (My bad). I hope that he will keep me as a patient.

Manito Tap House
So good! The food was yummy. The service was excellent. The staff all worked together nicely. The Green Chili Mac-n- Cheese was the best my hubby has ever had. The French Dip was tender and flavorful. The Ancho Chili Brul was worth driving from the neighboring state for. Even the iced tea was a pleasant surprise with a light fruit mango flavor. Yumm.

James V Brasch MD
Dr. Brasch delivered my two kids in 08' & 2010. He's absolutely by far the best and I highly recommend him. He is very good at his job and he actually listens to and cares about his patients. What made the experience even neater was his father (who was a dr in the same medical field as him) delivered me when I was born 26 yes ago. So it was really kinda cool.

Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
