Pet Savers
I just took my pit yogi into pet savers and they did amazing they treated my pet like he was there own. we dropped him off early and had a call back that afternoon right after surgery to let me know he did well. They also did thing for my pet extra and didn't charge me for it overall experience the staff was amazing with answering all my questions and was never rude at all I would recommend this place to anyone not sure why others had such a bad time if they treat us all the same well then 5 stars from me cause they couldn't have done any better my pup was up and around the next day and has healed up amazing has not even had to take pain meds after the second day all in all amazing guys keep up the good work you do and thank you for being amazing on the price. Not sure what lilarob's problem is but they did the opposite of everything he said for my dog and the price was AMAZING not over priced at all watch out for trolls people this place really is great. BTW pain meds came with too...

Pet Savers
I took my dog in on Oct. 1st of 2013 to put him asleep. He was a large dog and his hips and loss of urine and bowels. My wishes for him was to have him cremated but at that time was not able to cremate him. I only had enough funds to put him to sleep. He was in mt sisters suv in the back. The assistant was really simpathetic wiyh me. Was very kind and understanding. She said we could go to him I held him and let him know I Loved him as she gave him a shot to relax him as he laid his head on me I gave her the go for his final shot. He was gone. I took a little more time with him crying histarically and left. when we got home the assistant called and told me that someone anonymously paid to have him crematrd. I was and am so grateful to humever paid and had heart .I am forever grateful to that person and to Pet Savers.

Valley Veterinary Clinic
I've taken 3 of my cats and my 2 dogs to Valley Vets intermittently over the past 4 years, and every time I've found all personnel, doctors, technicians, and office staff, to be knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and always caring for the needs of each of my animals. Over the past 45 years I've had need to utilize the services of numerous veterinarians in 4 different states, for everything from a pet rat to my horses, and the doctors at Valley Vet are among the top 3 I've ever worked with. I trust their integrity and judgement, realizing that they are the trained and experienced professionals, not me. If I have concerns or questions I am answered with clearly-stated information and explanations. The reason I stay with Valley Vet is because I am confident they will always do what is best for my animals.

Pet Vet Hospital & Wellness Center
Found the doctor to be stand-offish. After months of my service animal having digestive issues and the expensive Prescription Diet he prescribed not working, I found a grain free, poultry free food that finally worked for her. This came after doing my own research and calling multiple manufacturers and talking to their food researchers. The doctor was quick point out what he felt was wrong with the food (who it was manufactured by) and wouldn't give me a refund on the expensive Prescription Diet food he prescribed and was still having problems on. He would only give me credit for services not yet provided. Sounded like sour grapes to me. I thought he was suppose to put the animal's well being ahead of his pay out from the prescription drug company. Huge disappointment.

Mountain Empire Veterinary Services
I have been a client of Mountain Empire for over 10 years and would not trust anyone other than Dr. Julia to treat my pets.Like most people, the dogs and cats I have had in my life are members of the family and I want the best care for them, Dr. Julia Leese and her staff have ALWAYS shown compassion and care for both me and my pets throughout the years, even at times of loss. The clinic is always clean when we go there and the girls at the counter are quick to process us in. Also, you can tell how much the staff truly love their animal clients. - A forever thankful client

Pet Vet Hospital & Wellness Center
I have been grooming pets in the Spokane Valley for the past 16 years. I have come to know which Veterinarians provide quality care and which ones don't. Pet Vet is the BEST. Dr. Clark and his team have been caring for my pets since I moved here. I wouldn't go anywhere else. If you care about your pets the way I do, you will LOVE Dr. Clark too.

Pet Savers
I have taken three cats to get spayed and neutered and apparently each one had a problem, so it ended up costing me triple what I was quoted. These were 3 different times in the last 5 years. They were all nice there, but I believe it's a scam.

Tips & Advices
Most 24-hour clinics do not allow owners to stay with their pets overnight. However, many do have specific visiting hours or will let owners see their pets at any point during the day. In addition, owners can call most clinics at any time for an update on their pet's well being.
  • Important phone numbers, especially those of the the veterinary clinic, the animal hospital or emergency clinic, and the poison control center
  • A book detailing pet first-aid steps
  • Copy of medical records
  • Nylon leash
  • Muzzle (only use if pet is not vomiting and has no difficulty breathing)
  • Absorbent gauze
  • Nonlatex disposable gloves
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Nail clippers
  • Digital thermometer
  • Sterile saline solution
  • Hydrogen peroxide (to induce vomiting only at the recommendation of a veterinarian
  • Milk of magnesia (to absorb poison only at the recommendation of a veterinarian)
Find a 24-hour animal hospital that provides emergency services within your area. Keep the facility's contact information in a place that's easy to locate, such as the refrigerator, address book, or smartphone. Most veterinary clinics operate on standard business hours and are not equipped to handle emergencies.
Veterinary clinics operate on a smaller scale than animal hospitals. The latter are more likely open 24 hours and provide emergency services. The former generally operate on typical office hours and only perform wellness exams and minor surgeries. Veterinary clinics also do not generally perform laboratory tests on site.
The specifics vary depending on the type of visit. For a wellness exam, bring:
  • Medical records
  • The type or brand of food the pet eats
  • Medication (including flea, tick, and heartworm medication).
If the animal needs medical treatment, the following may be helpful depending on the situation:
  • Fresh stool sample
  • Vomit sample
  • Video of the pet engaging in abnormal behavior
  • Substance the pet may have ingested
