Best Buy
My husband and I have been doing business with Best Buy for a good while and up to this point we have been pleased. However, on Sunday, February 26, 2017 we went into Best Buy and purchased two televisions. A few hours after returning home we began to open the boxes. Once the Vizio television was opened, my husband plugged it in and immediately noticed it was damaged. At this time it was past business hours and Best Buy was closed. For this reason, we waited until the following day to return. From the time of purchase until the time we made the return, less than 24 hours had gone by. Despite the facts however, the staff stated that they would not be willing to exchange it for one that works because they saw a thumb mark and believe that when taking the television from the box the screen must have been touched and caused damage. They then told us that we could contact the manufacture; so we did. We contacted Vizio and was asked to email photos. By the next morning a representative from Vizio called back and stated that the television is broken and that they do not cover that type of damage. I was told that we should return it to Best Buy and they should follow the claims process that is in place. The rep also stated that even if the screen was touched while removing from the package, there is no way that it would have caused that type of damage except that it was already damaged before we took it from the box. Taking his advice we returned to Best Buy and waited 50 minutes for a manager to come up to assist us. Once he finally arrived we got the same result. They were not willing to exchange the television. We left the television there and may have to take the loss. We were elite members and have done a lot of business with Best Buy (mostly this location in particular) but now we are done.

Gary Briggs Contracting
I hired Gary to help me solve a ten-year leaking basement problem. Gary inspected the project and quoted me a fair price for task. I have had many professionals out to assist me with my problem. Most of them wanted to sell me something regardless of it solving my leaking issue. Gary methodically removed my old bricks and sealed the area using perm-a-barrier, hydraulic cement, and new bricks. We thought this would solve my leak. Unfortunately, it did not work. This is when Gary exhibited his commitment to my issue. He referred me to a sealant specialists who I worked with to solve my problem. I worked with this person for a few months but we could not fix my problem. The interesting thing was that Gary contacted me frequently to access the progress we were making. HE GENUIELY CARED ABOUT FIXING MY PROBLEM. It turns out that the problem is an issue with deteriorating mortar. Gary has taught me how to seal the cracks and fix my problem. If you have a brick or mortar issue I would strongly recommend that you contact Gary Briggs. He is a professional craftsman that does first class work while charging reasonable rates.

Very unprofessional company to work for. They send you to jobs that has no plans on hiring in. When you request a new assignment they give you the run around. They never return your call. I never refer anyone to this company. Had a interview with John told me I had the job in Romulus never heard back for them. The most unprofessional company I have ever worked for.

Tips & Advices
Locksmiths-in-training can receive foundational knowledge and skills through programs offered at technical colleges or vocational schools. These would include basic courses on lock mechanics and manipulation, along with general skills like business management. From there, most trainees seek an apprenticeship, where they work alongside a professional locksmith. This allows them to gain experience in the field. It can also put them on a course toward certification.
Upon arrival to your home, a locksmith should ask you to prove that it is in fact your residence. They should also be able to unlock most common locks without requiring them to be drilled or completely replaced. Be sure to obtain an invoice that lists all charges before agreeing to pay.
  • If possible, research local locksmiths online and take note of any that have poor reviews or complaints.
  • When calling a locksmith, confirm their address matches what you found online or in a directory. Then ask for a cost estimate for the service you need, and ask to have them bring a written copy of this estimate.
  • Some states require locksmiths to be licensed. If your state is one of them, require the locksmith to bring proof of registration when they arrive.
The term locksmith traditionally referred to people who designed and built locks, but today is generally used for those who repair and replace locks. Locksmiths can be available on-call to help people if they're locked out of their home or apartment.
  • First, determine the type of lock you have, as well as the manufacturer or model if possible. You should also obtain measurements of your door and frame.
  • Remove exterior and interior knobs by unscrewing any visible screws you find. Many knobs will include a decorative cover on the interior side that can be removed.
  • Once you've removed the entire lock, find the screws on the inside of the door frame to remove the latch or deadbolt.
  • With everything removed, repeat these steps in reverse order to install the new lock.

Just a moment...
