Glens Garage
One of my employees had an accident in a ford van and Glen's charged 125.00 to tow van 4.7 miles to shop. Then attempted to charge be $2200-2500.00 to repair a van that is 11 years old. When I told them "no thanks" I was charged 70.00 to look at it and $50 to move it into the shop. CASH ONLY BUSINESS.I paid $65.00 to Jacks Towing to have van towed back to Memphis (20 plus miles) where repairs will be 1/3 what Glens attempted to charge. TOTAL RIP OFF MAKING MONEY OFF ACCIDENT VICTIMS THROUGH THE SOUTHAVEN POLICE DEPT!

What a great place to bring your older cars and trucks. They have kept my wife and I going for years! They can diagnose the problems, they know how to fix anything and their prices are reasonable. We feel so blessed to have found an HONEST car repair shop! CCB

Christian Brothers Automotive
I just had one of the best experiences ever with an auto shop! We have a Nissan Quest and it started making a terrible squealing noise when we started it. One of our neighbors told us it was the drive belt. I called our local Nissan dealership and got an estimate to replace the belt. I was told they were really busy and we would have to leave the van all day.... Then I remembered seeing Christian Brothers Automotive on Goodman Rd and decided to give them a call. Their quote was about $50 less and Tim asked me to bring it on down before they got really busy. Hubby and I hopped in the van and took it to Christian Bros... They pulled it right in and were finished in about 30 minutes and saved us money to boot. While in the waiting room I listened to other customers and everyone was more than pleased with the service. I'll be telling all my friends and neighbors about this great experience! Christian Bros. will be our 'go to' auto shop from now on... What a nice way to start our weekend!

STAY AWAY!! The absolute worse! I took my car to get the window repaired because it wouldn't roll up or down. They had me spend $165 on a part they had to order. Once it arrived and they attempted to install it I was told something else was wrong and they didn't need the part after all. This part was nonrefundable so I was out of $165. They were like oh well. Yeah but you misdiagnosed my car!

I was passing through Southaven a week ago and had problems with my 74 Porsche 914. When I called, they said they would look at it and try to fix the problem, but no promises, very honest. They did a great job, were not satisfied till it was perfect. Tony the mechanic, who did not want to be a Porsche expert, came in at 5 am to make it perfect. I drove another 900 miles, purred like a kitten. For their work, honesty, attention to detail, I would highly recommend them.

Tips & Advices
The location of a vehicle can be monitored during transport. Many auto transport companies offer tracking services that allow for monitoring a car's journey via their website. If a company doesn't offer online tracking, an owner can receive updates on the vehicle's progress and location by calling the auto transport company.
With open car transport, your car is typically moved from one location to the next on an open car hauler. Open car transport is often the less-expensive option, but it leaves the vehicle susceptible to damage from traffic and the weather. Still, know that damage is rarely incurred with open car transport. With enclosed car transport, your vehicle is shipped in a boxed trailer. This shipping method is often used to transport luxury cars, antique vehicles, and pricey specialty cars.
To prepare a car for transport, take photos of the vehicle, and identify any preexisting damage. Later, this will help assess if the vehicle has been damaged in transit. In addition to removing personal items, car owners should remove or disable the car's alarm system, and remove custom products and add-ons like DVD players and GPS systems to avoid theft. Fold in the vehicle's side mirrors, and remove the antenna.  Have an extra set of keys, so you don't have to give the carrier your only set. Finally, make sure the gas tank has roughly a quarter tank of fuel.  A full fuel tanks adds excess weight, but they’ll need to be some gas in the tank so the car can be driven to and from the shipping facility.
Your car cannot be packed with belongings while it is being transported. The Department of Transportation bans carriers from shipping cars that are loaded with household items. If a carrier breaks this law, it might be levied with a fine of up to $10,000.
Auto transport companies have insurance that is designed to provide reimbursement if damage to a car occurs during transit. If you believe your car has been damaged during transport, it's important to promptly notify the auto transport company, since some companies only allow 30 days to file a claim.
