Performance Tire & Auto Center
I talked to a few other people before writing this so it is not solely my opinions and deserves only a 2.8 not 3 stars. This place started out as a car lot and then expanded to include an automotive center. That said it is an Okay place to take your car to, providing you can get the right person for the job you are trying to do. Positives are : Good new tires. City WiFi is almost okay for this area. Other negatives include but are not limited to : Prices are higher than other places being one of the few shops in a small town. Unless you can get the right person for what you are trying to do, for example stereos you see Grant, for engines Jackie, for transmissions go to another town. Also it is hard to get the person you need to talk to on the phone. Waiting room is okay IF you don't have to wait too long. No food or shopping near by save for a gas station. In short I would say go here only if you are a regular, live in the town, or have no choice. Other wise you would be FAR better off going to Dublin or Vidalia for your automotive needs.

Jason's Car Care Ctr
Coming home from vacation in SC headed to FL, my 2004 Yukon's water pump went. I stopped in small town and an elderly gentleman at the general store spoke highly of Jason and his abilities. I backed tracked to Jason's and I'm so glad I did. Although he was clearly busy, he made time for my emergency situation. He quickly fixed my vehicle, made sure everything was working properly, and got me back on the road in no time!!! After all said and done, I was so grateful for his professionalism, fair price, and his compassion, I tipped him $25! Money well spent! God Bless you Jason and thank you again!
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
