Ken's Exterminating Co LLC
Well, I thought that I had bed bugs brought in from a hotel that my husband had stayed at, and if you know anything about bed bugs I was living a nightmare. I was convinced that is was a very quickly discovered very low infestation rate, and I started my own aggressive treatment (and Im a pro now), but was so eebie jeebied out that I called Ken's as well. Two young men, Jason and Jacob, came into my home to inspect and let me know they thought that I was not infested with bed bugs, (AND I KINDA ARGUED THAT POINT), and they were so kind to me. By the time that they showed up to my house, I was wearing a mask from all of the 91% alcohol and heavy dusting that I had done and was on MAYBE 4 hours of sleep in three days looking AND ACTING like a basket case!! So, turns out I'm either A) just a crazy woman or B) I actually was able to get it quickly identified and dealt with on my own. That could go either way. These guys did not pressure me into buying anything and expressed so much empathy (all along probably making the coo coo coo coo noise in their head). They were so incredibly professional, and just all around good young gentlemen, the type of guy I'd want for a daughter if I had one. Thanks guys, I will call you for all of my needs and will definitely recommend you to others. Sincerely, your new crazy customer ( :
Tips & Advices
Ask your pest control company about no-kill traps you can use if you want to get mice, rabbits, opossums or other furry creatures out of your house without harming them.
Many pest control experts now offer environmentally friendly treatment for your home and yard with insecticides that aren't as harsh for the ecosystem. Check with exterminators around your area to see if they provide these kinds of services. Also, keep your plants free from harmful chemicals by spraying cedar oil or soapy water on your flowers.
  • Dispose of garbage regularly.
  • Don't  leaving food or drink out.
  • Clean up after spills as soon as you can.
  • Drain any standing water in your house or yard.
  • Regularly mow and rake your lawn.
If you find insects and other animals trying to get in through cracks or openings, use a caulk gun to fill the gaps. You'll also want to either use traditional bug spray or a citronella candle to keep bugs such as mosquitos away from you during the summer months.
The price for exterminators can range broadly since they can charge for a monthly inspection and treatment. The final bill also comes down to the square footage of your property.
When pest control technicians visit your home or place of business, expect them to first identify what insect or other animal it is that's causing trouble. After identification, they will inspect your building to see where the pests are coming from and locate their hive or nest. Then the exterminator will spray or set out traps and bait according to which pest you have.
