The restaurant was ok... it could've had some music playing in background. We were greeted promptly, and seated in our choice seating area. Our server was nice and attentive. But, the food was way below my standards. The food had no flavor. My steak was tough and didn't come out hot. The steak was not worth $26. The salad was good, but it literally was 4 bites of salad on the plate. I didn't like them already having the salad dressing on my salad instead of putting it into a condiments container. The sweet tea was not sweet at all we had to change or teas to sodas. It took 47 minutes to get our food. I kinda would expect around 30 minutes during a rush or really busy... but not when there are 7 tables in use and 3 servers. The prices are on the higher end for this area. I take into consideration it's a new restaurant and they still may be adjusting... I will check them out again in the future to see if they have improved. If they haven't, their on my "X" list. I don't recommend this restaurant at this time.
Fresh , delicious and worth the money first time there amazing selection of food fry side and boiled best 30 dollars I've spent on buffet. The review before mentioned wasn't worth $30 but you have to understand how much the seafood cost shrimp, blue crabs, snow crabs , Dungeness crab , casino doesn't even have that good of a selection service was great seated quick and great young fella waited quick no problem dishes picked up drink filled up everything was perfect gonna make it far congrats to newly opened seafood restraunt .
From out of town and a local recommended Southside for drinks, food , football and fun. Not so much. Staff wasn't friendly, asked to watch a certain football game on one of the several televisions that are located throughout the restaurant and the manager seemed aggravated to so. Nice selection on menu and good food. Very loud and cramped trying to get to a table around the bar . But terrible customer service and that's what makes an enjoyable experience.
Just went by to put gas in my truck. Was using a debit card, card was approved for the $100 hold (like many gas stations do), and attendant cancelled transaction because "you have $4 on your card". That $4 was AFTER the gas station took their $100 hold! I was looking to put in about $30 worth of gas. Ended up having to get a friend to put gas in my car at another gas station. Not going back. Also, called to try to talk to a manager, got voicemail.
This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Slidell. If you are eating in Slidell and have not been here, it is a must! The steaks and fresh fish of the Gulf have always been spectacular, but they have recently added Live Maine Lobsters to their menu and I gotta tell you, Young's is now the place for Lobster in Slidell. Hands down, the best!
We stopped coming here about 6 years ago because the quality of service & food going downhill. We decided to start coming back in 2015 & it's better than it has ever been. If you haven't been here in awhile, come back, you'll be pleasantly suprised. Classic filet & Al's cheesecake for desert, a few of my favorite choices.
We love this place and happy we don't have to drive to belle chase anymore to have there seafood! Our server was great and came to check on us through out the meal to make sure everything was good and to see if we needed anything with out being annoying!!! We loved the food and we will be back again, soon!!!!!!
I live in Slidell and this is so far the best sushi place for quality and price concerns. Some of their rolls are only 3.95 like what I ordered California and crunchy roll. And I ordered their steak and shrimp hibachi that was sooo good and not to say their price was $9. Anyhow it was a great experience.
I had the best steak outside of Texas at Young’s Restaurant. I had this huge 32oz steak that I couldn’t finish. It tasted like it was cooked on an open fire pit. If you visit the New Orleans area make sure you stop over in Slidell and visit Young’s Restaurant. You won’t regret it!
I got a shrimp po-boy and a roast beef po-boy, and both were fantastic. Tons of shrimp on the sandwich. The roast beef had incredible flavor. (Make sure you get your po-boys fully dressed!) I think prices were quite reasonable. Plan to stop here again on my next trip to N.O.
