Empire Fence
Steve and his crew did an excellent job on our new fence! They were very detailed and precise in their work. Throughout the process, they were professional, courteous, and completed the work on time. I would highly recommend Empire Fence!

Empire Fence
Had a white vinyl fence installed a year ago. I picked Steve because he promised his work was very detailed and the fence would be straight. I'll tell you, I am very picky and this fence was a 100% perfect install. I could look down the fence line and it was perfect. A year later it still looks great! With fencing you get what you pay for! I would highly recommend Empire Fence.

Michaels Fence & Supply
The estimator Bryan came out and was very polite and friendly and we decided to hire Michael's Fence to install a wood fence. Unfortunately, we were not asked any questions regarding potential issues such as one of the gates not being able to open completely if we were to proceed or if we want the front fence boards to be the same height as our neighbors. Things aren't right and Bryan has never shown up at our house to observe, he merely sent an installer. Their way to "fix" things is to charge us another $1,000 to make things "right". I will never refer them since we received poor customer service satisfaction and once they had our money, they didn't care!

Empire Fence
As a single female I'm used to being ripped off, but this one takes the cake. Empire built a wooden privacy fence for me 8 yrs ago and did NOT use treated wood for my posts. Within a few years the wood started rotting and now I have several posts completely broken and the fence is ready to fall over. I can't afford to fix this because the cost would be enormous to dig out all the concrete. I tried calling the owner Steve and he left me a msg saying he would stop by and he did not. My boyfriend called several times, left a msg, and it was never returned. This is extremely unprofessional and I am very angry about being given a horribly inferior product. I have small dogs and once this fence completely falls over, we are stuck without a yard we can use.
Tips & Advices
Homeowners should work with a fencing contractor who is certified by or a member of one or more trade organizations, including American Fence Association or the North American Fence Contractors Association.
If a contractor requires an immediate decision, asks you to pay cash or doesn't provide an estimate.
  • Ask for portfolio examples
  • What's their reputation?
  • Is the work guaranteed?
  • Is there a warranty?
With exposure to the sun and the elements, wood fences are prone to cracking, warping and cupping. homeowners are encouraged to clean, seal and stain their fence at least every three years. Clean the fence with a specially formulated cleaner. After 15 to 20 minutes, use a pressure washer to remove any mold, mildew and debris from the fence. Then seal and stain the fence to protect it. An oil stain is recommended, as it penetrates the material and can maintain its condition for years.
Homeowners may use soap and water to clean off these materials, but they generally don't require much more than that. These options can be good for those that want a sturdy but low-touch fence.
