Mobile Mikes Auto Repair
Mike was recommended by a coworker as a knowledgeable and reasonably priced mechanic. He has been a mechanic 40 + years. He assisted me with diagnosing engine damage due to a severe overheat by another shop. His experience, honesty, and concern were very helpful. He really made a difference.

Mobile Mikes Auto Repair
Mobil Mike is an efficent mechanic that will work with you at a fair price. I had a headache of an issue with nonfunctioning brake lights. A denver mechanic spent hours on this electrical issue and never found the solution - handing me a hefty bill and nothing else. Mike fixed this wiring issue in about an hour and I was on my way. Will use Mike again in the future!

Grease Monkey
We called ahead to find out the cost of a full oil change with filter on our 2006 Chevrolet Colorado. We were told $42.00. When we arrived and they took possession of the truck, we were told the price was $44.00. We reminded them they had told us $42.00 over the phone but we were told, despite the price above the counter, the charge was $44.00. When the oil had been changed we were told a third price--$49.00. When we reminded them again what we were told over the phone and when we arrived we were told the charge was $49.00 before we could get the truck back. Chicken***** way to pick up a few extra bucks. Beware. We won't be back.

Mobile Mikes Auto Repair
We have resided in the county for 7 years, using different mechanics throughout the years as their recommendations change. This past Sunday we found ourselves with a problem, we were on the open road with a fuel issue with no Mechanic insight. We decided to try to contact our hometown shops for offsight advice. As most summit county residents know, if it's imortant, it's not open on Sunday. I called Mike just hoping for luck and I got it! Mike helped us over the phone diagnose the problem, talk us through options & even called me back after our 1st call to inform me on more. It saved us from being stranded in Kansas waiting for a Mechanic on Monday. I wish I would have found Mike sooner. Give this guy a call, someone wanting to help instead of just getting your money is hard to find.
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
