Buttercups Cupcakes
Today wasn’t the best of days and my aunt took me out shopping to get my mind off of things. We were shopping right near this cupcake place and my little cousin Emma said, “I really want a cupcake.” I’ve eaten at this cupcakery before and I just think it’s the best pick me up when you’re having a bad day. I got one of their newest creations, the salted caramel cupcake. It is the perfect combination of sweet and salty with a moist cake that makes the cupcake worth $3. While at times the icing can be a lot I find that an Izze drink makes the perfect partner for something so sweet. It helps balance it out with a little tart sensation on your tongue. Overall buttercups is the bomb. The place is gorgeous and the staff (usually only one person) is as sweet as the cupcakes themselves. This stop made my day a little more bearable and made me thankful for the abs workout I did earlier.

These are Good People and they will fix your car. . .RIGHT!! They will get my work from now on ! Sincere Thanks / Patrick!

Joe Rachal Transmissions
Took my car in a couple weeks back, another place told me it would cost a little over $2000 to get my car back on the road. So I decided to get a second opinion. Called Joe Rachal Transmissions after a friend told me about a guy named Dale who works there and that's who I needed to talk too. Mr Dale Sims told me to bring my car in and let him look it over, It ONLY cost me $400 and I got my car back THAT DAY. Thank You Mr Dale Sims for not just taking my money. This Shop Is The Very BEST!!!!!!!Sarah B

Euroteck European And Foreign Car Repair
I have a 2005 Subaru with over 150000 miles on it. It needed several repairs and I always found them to be reliable, honest and reasonably priced. They even worked hard to research and fix a problem with a reoccurring check engine light - including replacing the part they had just installed at no extra charge!

The Cinnamon Roll House
I have had two different types of Cinnamon Rolls from The Cinnamon Roll House and they were both delicious! I was just checking on a time for them to open so I could try a Caramel Roll this time. Too bad there's no info because my family is hungry. So its on to Southern Maid.

They are a great shop in Shreveport with professional owners, they take care of the real problem without jacking up their prices. I would highly recommend their shop when you find you are experiencing problems with your car or truck.

Gerteis Motors
Very honest and professional for all mechanical needs on my car. They don't do paint and body but will be happy to make a recommendation.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
