Fallou African Hair Braiding
When I called Fallou answered the phone and was very polite, she had a client in the chair, a walk in AND she handled ALL of us without my feeling left out. Fallou runs her business elegantly and is very professional. I told her what I wanted and when I got there and she looked at my hair, she told me that my hair was too short for what I asked for and she gave me an alternative style that fit me perfectly. Raleigh, NC African Braiding Salons, you all could take a lesson from Fallou, she does excellent work without all the talking and playing around and I didn't have to take ibuprofen and come out with a permanent smile. Thank you Fallou!

Designer's Showroom
Designers Showroom itself is I'm sure a wonderful place but the painter that some of the designers use (Gary Robinson) is a sorry excuse for a human being! He makes all his customers think he is such an all-around great guy by telling them all about his wonderful family when in actuality he kicked his family (girlfriend of 12 years I believe & their 4 children) out on the street with nowhere to go! He uses them as a conversation piece & it is WRONG! His painting may be OK, but his lies about his "precious" family make him a painter I would NEVER recommend or want in my home.

Rug Ratz Carpet Cleaner
No other carpet cleaners compares to these guys in Shreveport. I have used Stanley and chem dry. Tired of them sending different guys out and charging me $500. These guys are locally owned and operated. Easy to deal with. They cleaned my carpet as well as tile and grout plus sealed the grout same day. Total was $389 for same rooms stanely cleaned for $500. I could tell they put a lot of effort in their business.Bob was fair and they did a excellent job. I have a new cleaner for sure. FYI They have a coupon for 3 areas as well if you only have that many rooms to clean.

Fireflies Salon
A very wonderful salon. Their prices are extremely reasonable and Yvette really listens and understand what you want. I am a very picky person about how my hair is styled and cut, and Yvette stopped what she was doing to discuss with me what she was going to do next. I live in texas now but when i visit shreveport I make a point to have my hair cut there. There is also an added jewelry boutique that has great prices and great quality. There isn't anywhere else I want my hair cut in town.

Salon Pines
I happened to be passing thru town and needed to get my hair done. I decided to visit Salon Pines because of the great yelp reviews about Cathy. I'm so glad I came here. The service of the salon and the expertise of Cathy was amazing!!!I only wish she were in Los Angeles!! But, if she were she'd be a stylist to the stars and then I wouldn't be able to afford her. So glad I stopped here and had owner Cathy do my hair. You should too!

Bombshell Hair Salon
Melanie at Inkworm Designs did my first tattoo and I would NEVER let anyone else give me a tattoo! She really takes pride in her work and believes in doing an excellent job. I saw someone who had a terrible tattoo job done on them and they had to go to Melanie to get it fixed. She did an Awesome job of actually making the tattoo look beautiful. If you want quality work I highly recommend her!

Brothers Hair Design
I have been going to Brothers for about two years and have never had a problem. I love it. The prices are a little higher than most, but I will pay them gladly because service I get is so awesome and it is true you get what you pay for!!!!!! If I can't afford to go to their place, I just deal without a hair cut, cause I know I won't be happy anywhere else!!!!!!!!!!

Magic Nails
I didn't care for the service of the male nail technician. He was very talkative, poor customer service, disrespectful to the customers, and messy. However, the female nail designer was professional. Some of the other female nail technicians were also professional. One bad apple does make the rest suffer. I want be returning to the place.
Tips & Advices
Provide the landscape designer with photos of designs you find attractive and might want to emulate. Gardening and architecture magazines can be useful in this regard. It's also important to let the landscape designer know how the  space should function. For example, a space that is being used as a play area for kids will have different objectives from a space being used to entertain friends. Finally, have a clear idea of how much you are looking to spend, since this will impact the build choices made by the landscape designer.
Many services offer long-term contracts that include regularly scheduled cleanings. These contracts sometimes, but do not always, result in discounted prices. Most cleaning services offer discounts in exchange for customer referrals.
Homeowners should review their cleaning service's damage/breakage policy. Some businesses compensate for damaged items, while others do not.
Not always. Before hiring a cleaning service, homeowners should confirm the company verifies its employees' identities and performs background checks. Those planning to hire a self-employed cleaner rather than go through a business should inquire about background check options available from their state's attorney general.
  • The annual costs. Weekly services quickly add up, and homeowners may need to pay additional taxes if they choose a self-employed cleaner.
  • Language barriers and miscommunications. Some professional cleaners might speak English as a second language .
  • Background checks and employment verification. Homeowners can be held liable if they employ a person not legally permitted to work in the U.S.
