Everything Auto Towing & Repair
Jeff was absolutely amazing! He drove me to 5 or 6 different shops and made great suggestions to help me find a place that was open that could help me. He even helped me find a place to rent a car from when my insurance was not helpful. And he charged next to nothing. A very professional, amazing service! So glad I was able to find such great help being from out of town. Give Jeff a call, and he will make sure you are taken care of! Highly recommended!!!

T & Js Auto & Rv Repair
These guys are GREAT, you are crazy to go anywhere else. We were on our family vacation and our car started making a very loud strange noise when we arrive in pigeon Forge. It was Sunday night and no one was open so first thing Monday morning I showed up at another automotive repair shop that opened earlier that could not take us and was not very helpful. Went to T &J's next and they were not open yet so I waited and as soon as Tony walked up he immediately open the shop early to see what I needed. They immediately took my car in to see what was wrong with that and with in 15 minutes had a diagnosis and were willing and able to do the repairs In less than an hour after giving me my diagnosis and quote I was in my car and on my way. If not for Tony our vacation would have been over before it started (major steering issue). Thank you so much Tony and Jim!!!

Amazing! We thought we had a vacuum leak or something. He went out of his way to check over our van. He didn't find a problem, and he refused to charge for his time and expertise. I would recommend him to anybody, especially out-of-towners like us, who don't want to be ripped off. He was very professional and knows his job! Thank you so much!

Chip's Transmissions
Absolutely awful customer service! Was lied to and misled multiple times! I dropped my car off for a clutch replacement on 7/15/16, as they stated it would be a half-day repair. They told me they did not have a part to repair and it will be on Monday, Tuesday at the lastet. Inconvenient, but I understood. Monday comes, not repaired. Still waiting on part to be delivered, they stated. Refused to give tracking on the part, but guaranteed Tuesday arrival. Tuesday comes, no part. Said "the shipper" said it'll be there Wednesday guaranteed. Once again, refused tracking number. So, I had to book a weekly rental at Enterprise @ $287. Car was finally done on Friday the 22nd. I had to drive 8 hours back to TN to get my car only to find the repair incomplete. I had to replace the master and slave cylinder myself! All they offered was a $100 discount on a $1650 repair! I was constantly lied to, they refused to give me the tracking number on my part, and they didn't even repair the issue!

D & S Automotive
My family and I were on vacation in Pigeon Forge when I started having trouble with my car which I thought was the transmission. I found D&S in the phone book, called and they looked at my car immediately. They spent about 40 minutes doing diagnostics and taking it for a test drive. They found a different problem, which was my brake lights were not working. They fixed that problem and the original problem I had seemed to have worked itself out. They did not charge me anything at all, just asked me to give them a good review, which I would happily give. they were so helpful and kind to take care of someone from out of town who they could have taken advantage of, especially a woman who doesn't happen to know much about cars. A big thanks from me is sent their way. I would recommend them highly!! These were honest people!

D & S Automotive
We were traveling from Raleigh, NC to Gatlinburg, when my air conditioner went out. We checked the yellow pages and saw where D&S Automotive had 16 reviews, all with 5 stars. We were not disappointed! Steve was a great guy, and very knowledgable. We couldn't believe how fast he fixed our problem. We just wish that he had a shop in Raleigh, NC. He was very honest, and fair. Air works better than it did before he fixed it.

Smoky Mountain Collision Center
I was recently involved in a fender bender, no one wants that...ruined my day. But, I was referred to Smoky Mountain Collision in Sevierville. I wasn't looking forward to this , BUT RICH not only did an EXCELLENT on my car, he led me thru the whole tedious task of dealing with my claim. I don't suggest you get in an accident, but if you do, this is the ONLY shop I would go to. They also do paint and various body work to just make your vehicle look sharp! Very fair prices, and they stand behind their work! Thanks again Smoky Mountain Collision!
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
