Fire House Garage, Complete Auto Body & Towing
Having just experienced excellent customer service from Firehouse Garage & Towing (less than fifteen minutes ago), I immediately created this account to write this review. On a visit to Sebastian to see my brother, my car got stuck in some mud at the shoulder of his driveway. I was in sheer panic with daylight quickly disappearing and having my young daughter with me and a long drive home ahead. Firehouse Towing came out quickly and pulled my car from the mud. The gentleman (did not catch his name) was kind, curtious, and professional. He did not accept payment from me. I am truly blown away at his generosity! Words cannot express my gratitude. Afterward, my brother realized he worked with them recently when his car was in need of new spark plugs. They got him in immediately and even gave him a ride home so he did not have to wait at the shop. I am absolutely blown away at the kindness of this company. This is the kind of service that is seemingly rare these days. We will forever use Firehouse Towing & Garage for future needs and we will be passing the good word around. That's a promise! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Island Automotive Of Sebastian
Being from Connecticut I was stressed out as to where to bring my safari van, it had a smell of antifreeze. So upon the recommendation of Mr Oil Inc, they said give Norm and Glen a try, very honest and reliable. So I spoke with Glen and he right away set up an appointment. So I got a call yesterday saying it needed a radiator and cap, price was $420 , I thought it was a bit steep but I trusted them. I received a call from Norm saying they got the wrong Radiator out of FT Pierce. So today I got a call to come pick up my Van. I was pleasantly surprised to find out the bill was $330, a hundred dollars less than what was quoted, because the radiator quoted originally was for a bigger van etc... They could have screwed me and they didn't. They are AOK in my book, Thanks Guys, Mark T

St Lucie Battery & Tire - Sebastian
well, to start out with...Ed, Justin and their technicians make this establishment what it is. I had a four wheel alignment done here (which was done very well) and then days later I purchased stock rims for my vehicle (vibration issues along with pulling ). Ed advised me to bring my vehicle back ASAP to verify that the alignment is good with the OEM rims. They squeezed me in on a Saturday and took time to reevaluate the alignment at no charge to me at all. My vehicle is steering fantastic due solely to St. Lucie Battery And Tire . Great job guys, thank you.

Fire House Garage, Complete Auto Body & Towing
I am new in town and my old pickup would not start and I have AAA so I looked for AAA approved towing and repair service. Fire House Garage responded very quickly, took the vehicle in the same day, diagnosed the problem, located parts and fixed it for a reasonable price, keeping me posted at every step. I got my truck back the next morning, (a Saturday) with a guarantee that includes free towing. Friendly and efficient people.

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
