3.Azteca Mexican Restaurant Tukwila

Azteca has decent mexican food. It's not outstanding, but it is still good. The chips and salsa are very good and we ate a lot of them, especially because it takes awhile for the food to come out. My favortie is the macho burrito (rice, beans, and meat inside the burrito). It's pretty tastey. The service is ok, sometimes a little slow, because the restaurant is often very busy. However, we have never had a problem with any of our servers.

* * * * * Count those. . . they earned them! The food was absolutely fantastico! The atmosphere is lovely. My boyfriend and I visited on a Tuesday evening for dinner in the bar. We were immediately acknowledged by Frankie Genzales (one of the owners) and our experience was superb. In true Italian fashion, we were made to feel like family. A family history in beautiful pictures align the wall, and we received a personal "tour" by Frankie, himself. After throwing names around, he embraced the fact that we had been around B-town for over 50 years and to no surprise, we knew a handful of family members, even attending school with a couple! With all of that aside, we shall return time and again, merely because they are doing it right! Go see for yourself, I recommend the "chicken picatta". Priced right, beautiful array of wines available. . . . nice bar. . . you name it, they nailed it. :)

Two of my sons have worked as cooks in this joint (it belongs to their Uncle Tom) , so all I can say is watch out for snot in your seafood! Horror tales abound!\r \r Seriously, Ettas and all of Tom Douglas' places represent a marketing miracle, because the food just ain't that great and ain't that cheap either. But, hey, give it a try! \r \r In all seriousness, the restrooms, a fixation for Tom, who is fastidious in regard to bathroom hygiene, are spotless. So relieve yourself with confidence!

As a retired Pennsylvania State Certified Exec Chef and Culinary Arts Teacher for forty years in Philadelphia, I am delighted to recommend this excellent dining experience in Seattle, Wa. Starting with the free shuttle to and from our hotel (supplied by Cutter's). The exec chef and his staff provide superb quality food, presented in the most eye appealing manner at the correct temperature, and served by wonderful eager to please waitstaff (ask for Adam if you want the best of the best servers anywhere). Bonuses at this location include ""Happy Hour"" all day, every day, a terrific view of the water, marvelous ambiance, and great drinks. When visiting Seattle, this place is as important to visit as the Space Needle, Pikes, etc.

A month ago my husband and I went on a walking date (we live on Capitol Hill) and strolled into Table 219 for the first time. We had such a GREAT meal and I was so pleasantly surprised by their menu. So many places these days feel like they have the exact same thing. The menu had creative offerings and everything we had was so tasty. Also really enjoyed Gary our host for the evening. Went back again this week for brunch with a friend and had an equally fantastic time. I'm hooked now. So great to find a new place in our neighborhood. Love it.

There is every reason to be ambitious and dabble in this unfamiliar cuisine. The intimate setting and low lighting make this place feel special. The chatty and attentive owner make you feel like an honored guest. The food makes you glad you came for sure! There is nothing risky about this food, very flavorful and not too greasy or too spicy or too anything but just purely wonderful flavors. Very Middle Eastern but also incorporates some spices perhaps influenced by Indian cuisine (which makes sense given Afghanistan's history and location!) This is a complete experience-- an adventure, a treat, a delight to the senses, a buzz in the room, a conversation with the waitor, an inspiration to come back!

I really don't know where to begin raving about how much I love this place. We had reservations for 7:00 and everything went perfect from the moment we walked in the door. There were four of us and we all love food. The group I was with has pretty high expectations when we go to a nice restaurant, and I can honestly say nobody was disappointed. Every single course we ordered was prepared perfectly! From the venison or squid to the four desserts we shared. The service was also spectacular. Our server was aware and helpful with all of our selections. His input regarding the wine was a tremendous help too. Everyone at our table went home extremely satisfied. The harvest Vine is not cheap, but the quality of the food and service far outweigh the cost of the dinner. If you ever want to splurge a little the Harvest Vine should not be missed.

With the holidays (and the holiday spirit) upon us, my wife and I decided one recent evening that I would meet her after work for dinner at one of the downtown Seattle’s fine restaurants. We had originally planned to dine at a restaurant that has been a part of the Seattle scene for several years but which we have somehow managed to miss. Unfortunately, we’re still missing it but fortunately, we’ve discovered another delightful dining spot. Based on the glowing recommendation of two colleagues, we abandoned our original plan and headed for Queen City Grill. Were we ever glad we did! Leaving the car parked, we hopped a northbound bus to the edge of Seattle’s ride-free zone, then walked a couple of blocks to the restaurant. I must admit that, upon arrival, the “seafood” sign on the awning gave a moment of pause, as neither my wife nor I was really in the mood for fish. We needn’t have worried; the menu at Queen City Grill was not huge, but had great variety. Adding to that, we were still in time for “happy hour” which, at QCG, extends to tables as well. We started our evening with cocktails: she, a vodka martini and I, a Maker’s Mark Manhattan. The vodka martini was on the happy hour special; my “call” Manhattan was not. Regardless, both were well prepared at the bar, then poured tableside by our waiter. After sipping our beverages for a few minutes, we decided to order a couple of the appetizer specials: the bruschetta (Roma tomatoes, garlic, basil and goat cheese) and the Oaxacan prawns. The bruschetta was delicious, but the prawns were remarkable! Their smoky flavor from the grill was accented by a jicama and red onion salad and a delicious dipping sauce of herbs and cumin. Our waiter told us the chef was from Oaxaca, so the dish was likely quite authentic. Authentic or not, I can confirm it was delicious! With the appetizers and the proffered bread and butter having taking the edge off, my wife and I decided to split the roasted beet salad (sautéed beets, mixed greens, Rogue River blue cheese and candied pecans) and the rack of lamb. The salad, with its (type of) vinaigrette dressing, and the lamb (cooked a perfect medium-rare) were both exactly what the doctor ordered. And the kitchen split both items for us, giving us perfect portions of salad and lamb with mashed potatoes and green beans. As it was, we each got three chops; six would have clearly been overkill. Our waiter brought two glasses of a 2007 Argentine Malbec, which accompanied the lamb perfectly. While we opted for the lamb, Queen City Grill does have abundant seafood (crab cakes, halibut, trout, and tuna), chicken, duck, beef, and risotto to choose from. And with a capacity of around 75 people, the atmosphere is cozy and intimate – just the thing for passing a cool, damp, Seattle winter evening. We will definitely be back!

We ordered the sampler ($2 off with Yelp check-in!). It lets you choose 4 chowders out of the 7 they have. I had the New English Clam Chowder, Seafood Bisque, Smoked Salmon and the Seared Scallop. They were all good. Enjoy! It is always very crowded as it has the best chowders ( on my opinion) in Seattle.

I agree that the group with the negative reviews was likely one person or a group of people who were seeking comps. The reviews were difficult to read with the same level of illiteracy and some of the same terms were used and all on the same date. Hardly fair to a really decent and reliable venue.

This is a great neighborhood breakfast/lunch joint. If you get in on the early side they have some super great breakfast deals! It's all vegetarian, so you don't have to worry about your west coast hippie friends struggling with the menu. The staff is polite and attentive, and the food for the price is a good value in my opinion. There is an interesting history to the place too.

Seattle's oldest family owned restaurant and the oldest bar in Belltown got new owners late last year. They've cleaned this place up just a little, expanded the menu, and implemented one of Seattle's best happy hours. If you live in Seattle, you already know. If you're visiting, this is an historic place that many have referred to as the ""Soul of Seattle"" and the World's best dive bar. It's also a great diner. My boyfriend took me here for Valentine's Day. As we drove up to the restaurant we saw a line out the door. We had reservations but knew we would have to wait. Fortunately, the wait was not all that long, 15 minutes. While we were waiting, we watched the staff who were working like clock work together. Things seemed to be running smoothly.\r \r We were seated in a cozy corner in the back. Our waiter was excellent (I wish I remembered his name). Almost everything on the menu looked delicious, but I narrowed it down to 3 choices. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommend the Spinach Walnut Ravioli. This dish is absolutely amazing. I enjoyed every bite of it. My boyfriend had the lasagna which was just as delectable as my ravioli. For desert, there was a wonderful Tiramisu and the coffee was excellent as well.\r \r Overall, it was a fantastic night. The food was excellent, the wait staff top-notch, and the price was unbeatable!\r \r

I went to this place last week for the first time and have been back twice already. The bread is just like you get out of New Orleans and so is the andouille sausage. Since leaving the South 12 years ago I've never eaten at a Southern or Creole restaurant that I've liked- this place I LOVE! I've had a couple of po' boy sandwiches a sampler of Creole dishes and the red beans and rice and they were all great. Can't wait to go back and work my way through the whole menu. I'll admit they are a tad pricey compared to what these meals cost in New Orleans BUT worth it. I'd rather pay a few bucks more and get great food...especially in the Pac NW where people just don't know how to cook this stuff.

Lee's is a blend of Asian cuisine, with thai and chinese entrees. While some offerings are specific to a region, many are simply a blend to create some wonderful food.\r My favorite is their 7 flavor beef, which is a moist multi-flavored entree of love. Their 9 flavor is more of a dried seared style which is great on its own merits and worth a try, but my preference is still the 7 flavor. They offer a wonderful honey walnut chicken or honey walnut prawns which is my changeup choice. I have yet to experience an even mediocre meal here. Prices are reasonable, especially for lunch. Service is friendly and prompt and many of the staff have been there many years. If I had to offer any critisism, it woul be that their dining room is on the small side as this is a smaller place. During busy weekends, I would simply take it to go and enjoy a nice movie at home with a wonderful meal.

Spiro's is not a flash pizza joint by any stretch of the imagination, parents take their kids there for birthday parties, my girlfriend and I go there if we can't be bothered to cook... Well, it's on our doorstep. However, slow as the service can be, if they are 'busy', they are couteous with it, and try there best. The food is a nice quality and at an affordable price. I rate Spiro's, you should try it once to find out for yourself.
