NORTHGATE SMILESNorthgate Dental Center11066 5th Ave. NE #208 Seattle, WA 98125 (206) 362-1516One of the most rewarding experiences of my life was having some dental work done at Northgate Smiles in Northgate, Washington. I know what you’re thinking; rewarding experience and dental work is an oxymoron (the two don’t go together). But it’s true. I’ve had plenty of dental work in my 64 plus years on this earth so I know from whence I speak. I’ve even had the experience where the Dentist put his knee in my chest to extract a wisdom tooth (the tooth was wise but he wasn’t). But getting back to Northgate Smiles, from the time you walk into its waiting room there is an atmosphere of calm. The décor is not only tasteful but also reassuring. The professionalism and friendly approach of the reception staff when they greet you further adds to a comfort feeling that everything is going to be alright. Dr. Karla Aylen and her support staff made the whole process of injecting nova cane, the drilling the scraping seamless and pleasant. Did I say getting needles, drilling and scraping where pleasant? Yes I did because it was. In fact, we joked (well I mostly joked) and laughed a lot during the entire process and on both visits. They must have thought me weird to be joking like that but they made me feel so safe and comfortable. Most dentists want to get you in and out “NEXT”. But Dr. Karla and her staff made it seem as if I was the only patient for that day. She when over and over each procedure many times until she deemed it perfect. This next statement might seem politically incorrect but I will say it any way. I LIKED, NO LOVED THE FACT THAT THE ENTIRE STAFF WHERE WOMEN- HURRAH FOR THEM.Sincerely, RONALD FAUNTLEROY (Still smiling)

Washington Center for Pain Management
I'm a patient of Dr. Zhu's who had to go out of state as my dad was having brain surgery. I knew before leaving Washington that I would run out of my pain meds and attempted to get pills for the number of days I would need covered. I was informed by his office that he would be unable to write Ca script in advance as I was not yet due pills. Once was down to two pills and needed my hydrocodone refilled while still out of state I contacted his office again only to be told he couldn't write a script because another state would not accept it. I contacted the pharmacy in the state I was in (Illinois ) who told me they fill out of state scripts all the time. I also called Walgreens in Washington who said yes it could certainly be done and in fact said to just have him fax a script to them for the number of days I would be gone and they could enter it in the computer and then Walgreens in Illinois could fill it. So once again I called Dr. Zhu's office again who repeated that he could not write a script to be filled by another state and when I asked to speak with a nurse was told I would have to wait for a call back!

Washington Center for Pain Management
Thanks to WA center for pain I can finally finish college. They weren't intimidated (or exasperated) by my long list of symptoms, meds or doctors, and when I had a medical emergency in their office they handled it perfectly. Without their help I wouldn't have been able to tolerate the treatments I need to keep my med probs from taking over my life. I see both Dr Hong and Reed, who've always been very nice and patient even if I'm anxious or disorganized and like to complain. The first visit with Pain Docs can be a little weird. There are all these regulations (I blame Michael Jackson) so it can feel strange answering a ton of background-check type questions. And nowadays everyone is going to ask about mental health, its part of the "treat the whole person" trend. And my insurance didn't want to pay but finally did.The goal at WCPM is to find a long-term strategy: they kept working with me until we found a good way to manage my treatment.

Beverly Greenberg MA
Not very helpful, offered very little assistance, did not seem to truly care about my best interests, and even put me in a certain amount of danger. For example, when I asked her for help concerning communication issues with my grandmother, her reply was simply, "Whats your rush?!" She offered no other advice and I never resumed contact with my grandmother. A few years later, my grandmother died and essentially disinherited me. Bev also never bothered to inform me directly when someone was slandering me with serious, false accusations, but instead asked a series of potentially injurious questions. After that, I realized she could not be trusted.

Northgate Dental NORTHGATE SMILESCenter11066 5th Ave. NE #208 Seattle, WA 98125 (206) 362-1516This was the best dental experience I have ever had. Dr. karla Aylen and her staff are truly professionals in all aspects. I was thoroughly informed of the procedures step by step before they occurred with my approval. I was also given various payment plans. The next treatment dates where at my convenience. I am glad my daughter recommended her dentist to me. Diana F.

Barrett M Rochefort DDS PS
I've been seeing Dr. Rochefort for over 20 years and I highly recommend him. He is honest and ethical but more importantly competent. I've had various dental issues that could have easily been taken advantage of by unethical practioners. I have a slight fracture in one of my wisdom teeth that he has been monitoring for years. Could have performed a procedure but so far has done nothing but keep an eye on it.

Smile Matters Inc
Smile Matters is a new and efficient dentistry that I recommend for anyone searching for a dentist. I had a great experience there. I was treated well, and Dr.Quaidoo really took her time, unlike other dentists that rush and just try to get your appointment over with. I would recommend this for anyone.
Tips & Advices
An osteopathic physician practices a comprehensive form of medicine that takes a holistic approach to a person's health. Instead of specializing in one system or set of organs, an osteopathic specialist focuses on the health of the total body. This includes evaluating environmental factors that affect a person's well-being.
Many family doctors deliver babies, especially in rural areas without a nearby OB/GYN. However, most family doctors only deliver for low-risk pregnancies and do not perform cesarean sections.
Family nurse practitioners are highly educated nurses able to provide medical care individually or with the assistance of another professional. Family nurse practitioners obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then take the National Council Licensure Examination to begin working as a registered nurse. Then, they continue their education and obtain a Master of Science in Nursing. Following that, they become certified in family practice via the American Nurses Credentialing Center of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, allowing them to become certified family nurse practitioners.
Some family doctors provide immunizations while others do not. Typically, doctors who work as part of a large practice are more likely to offer vaccines in-house. Doctors in offices of one to two physicians are more likely to refer patients to a public health department or other immunization provider.
A physician's assistant is a person qualified to perform routine medical services. This individual is professionally licensed and certified, but they may not have the extensive med school education of a doctor. That said, PAs do complete almost three years of postgraduate study and more than 2,000 hours of rotations.
