    I recently received outstanding service from my local Allstate agent-Chris Price. A friend referred me as he had saved her over 30% for more thorough coverage than her previous insurance company offered. Mr. Price not only saved me a sizeable savings on my coverage but also gave me professional and personable help that would have caused me to switch companies without the great savings. I would highly recommend Chris Price for anyone looking for very personalized insurance.

    Upon first moving to the Seattle area, I thought I had found a good auto insurance policy with a good company. However, when I worked with Christopher Price at Allstate Insurance, he not only exceeded all my expectations regarding coverage, but he also was able to offer me the same coverage for a large savings to me. I couldn't be more satisfied with Mr. Price's stellar customer service!

    Insurance - that necessary evil - is rarely something about which one writes a glowing review, but I need to tell you about my experience with Chris Price, Allstate agent in West Seattle.



    First of all, I don't even live in W. Seattle - I live on the Eastside - but Chris came so highly recommended that I gave him a call, liked what I heard, and switched ALL of my insurance needs to him. About one week later, my daughter got into her first accident. I was so worried - first about my daughter, and then about my car. Chris was so calming to me, and he instantly took care of every detail. He emailed me all of the numbers I needed - car repair, rental car co, etc.



    Over the years, and in two different states, I've been represented by four Allstate agents. Allstate is a strong company, and their agents are generally pretty good. Chris Price is nothing short of excellent!

    Had Auto/Renters Insurance through Allstate for several years. Was transferred to Chris when my Agent left the business. Called and requested an updated quote as I needed to add an additional vehicle. Provided all the information requested but quote never came in. Requested quotes from several other Agencies and received immediate replies. Asked Chris again about quote and was told would be provided tomorrow! Was obvious that taking care of a customer was not his highest priority, so I requested both Auto/Renters insurance be canceled (Dec 9th). Received confirmation from Chris of cancellation.



    On 12/28 asked for confirmation of cancellation because Allstate Insurance charge was deducted from my Checking account.



    Received reply on Jan 4th that apparently cancellation did not go through. Had to send him proof (which I did) of new insurance and was told he would back date it and send me refund.



    On Jan. 24th received another notice of charge for insurance! Called Allstate corporate and they 3 way called with Chris's assistant who assured me everything would be taken care of. Received response same day from her that everything was canceled and I would receive refund in 7-10 days. (refund did come in)



    Feb 25th received renewal notice for renters insurance! Sent another notice to Chris asking him to please take care of this. Received response stating he could do that but to make sure my bank does not withhold any more premiums? HUH???? His response was on the same e-mail string as all the previous conversation. I asked him to clarify his statement and he responded with "Automatic Withdrawals" It was obvious that he didn't even bother to take the time to look through the e-mail string.



    This whole experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. Doubt I will ever want to deal with Allstate again if this is the type of Agents they want representing them.



    Response 9/24/2011 - Actually Chris's recollection of the incident is not correct. I have all e-mails from the incident so my facts are correct. The $49 refund was for the renters insurance refund. the auto insurance was $142.05. I would have been charged an additional $142.05 if I had not followed up to ensure the insurance was cancelled. Also notice how coincidentally, Chris receives FIVE 5 star reviews ALL posted on the same day and ALL only have one review? You as the consumer decide!! I have also filed a formal complaint with the BBB CASE#: 94340583

    That is not correct nor how I recall this incident. I think the total money involved was about $49 dollars which he receieved after we got Allstate to refund his money when he showed us proof of current insurance.
