I don't understand why there are so many good reviews when my experience has been so bad? Location? I paid for 1 week to give it a try. i still have 4 days left and tried to get my money back , no refunds so I will lose the money. I have not been able to finish 1 meal. I have eaten a few pieces of fruit. The veggies are soggy and the fruit is mushy. the food I have been given is anything but fresh. I eat a cucumber and chicken salad at the beginning of my delivery and i honestly felt sick after.

I signed up mainly because of time constraint (and laziness when it comes to cooking), but I've been pretty impressed with the variety and freshness of the food. A lot of the other programs I tried had frozen food that just didn't seem healthy. Obviously you pay a bit more for this, but it seems worth it to me. The meals were balanced but seemed really small at first. A few times, I even used a calorie calculator to see just how many calories I was getting. This ended up being pretty eye-opening, because I was eating WAY too much before. I've had a very positive experience, lost a lot of weight and feel better overall. It's a pretty good value for the service.

I hate cooking and was looking for a way to eat healthy food that actually tastes good. The LossArts meal delivery service has been awesome. Every morning I have a little green cooler waiting for me filled with food for the day. The food is the perfect size for me and I can take them to work and to the gym. The program says that if you eat the full daily meals then you will lose weight. I did not start this service for weight loss, but I ended up losing weight simply by eating this food! It is so good and the chef really pays attention to detail. I have tried Zone, Paleo and Gluten Free and love them all. My favorite is the Zone. The Chef makes the best salad dressing I have ever had. No joke.

Chef by Request delivers healthy and tasty meals. In addition to the great variety of meals and great flavor, the service has always been exceptional and accommodating to my travel and work schedule. I've loved the flexibility and the consistency in knowing what I'm getting and when I'm getting it. And of course, who can complain about the built in benefit of weight loss? Love this company!

Week 2 complete and I'm down 11 pounds! I love the convenience of not having to weigh, measure, count calories, cook or prep. It's so easy to stick with a meal plan if everything is done for you! Why would anyone pay for frozen or freeze-dried packaged food when you can have fresh food that tastes great and is very satisfying?

I love this place for the convenience. The idea of having three healthy "Paleo" meals without having to shop, prepare, cook and serve is worth it's weight in gold. Which is a good thing because sometimes it feels like that's what they are charging. It's definitely not cheap - but I feel it's worth the money. You cannot put a fair monetary value on time and this saves me lots of that. I spoke with Kimmi via phone and email a few times and she's been wonderful. Helped me tailor my plan and I've had no issues with the delivery. I like most of the meals - and what I don't like, it's mostly because it's something I haven't tried before. Since I stick to the three meals provided, I choke it down anyway. Healthy food isn't always tasty. :) Besides, I only have these meals M-F to keep me going. So far I've lost 38 lbs. and couldn't be happier with the results. And definitely could not have done it without this service.

My husband and I have been getting the lunches and dinners (zone diet) for quite awhile now, with the main incentive being healthy convenience. The weight loss potential is a side benefit. I love the salads the best. I love how fresh all the vegetables are. I like the many herb and fruits they use which keep one from getting tired of turkey or chicken or pork. The prawns and salmon are quite good; never over cooked. I liked the beef, but opted out to reduce red meat in my diet. I was inspired to write this because the entree today was turkey and fresh green beans and although it looked familiar, the flavors were so unique from anything I had had lately that I was impressed once again with how they keep making the food taste different and how it is always fresh.

I've been trying a variety of nationwide fresh diet delivery services, and have to say that Chef by Request has been one of my favorites. They were the first place I tried, and it made it hard for most of the ones that followed as I was spoiled with my first experience. The food variety is excellent, while the calories were kept low. I loved having such fresh ingredients, with many foods I probably wouldn't have eaten on my own. The evening snack bars are a total treat, and they have enough variety you won't be eating the same ones all the time. I'll be getting extras in my next order to share with my kids. Once I'm done trying out the other services on my list, I'm 95% sure I'll be going back to Chef by Request. Even the overnight deliveries were pretty great as they provide plenty of ice packs to keep things well refrigerated.
Tips & Advices
A meal replacement is a substitute for a meal, typically a drink or a bar. While processed meal replacements have a set number of calories, many are high in added sugar and low in protein, fiber and healthy fats.
Appetite suppressants, like all drugs, have side effects, so read the fine print and discuss potential side effects with a medical professional before taking them. Stimulant-type drugs can cause insomnia, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, drug dependence and abuse, and withdrawal symptoms. Drugs that work to prevent fat absorption can cause gas, soft stools, and oily spotting. Diet pills that affect neurotransmitters are associated with headache, nausea and vomiting, constipation, dry mouth, and dizziness.
People generally lose weight gradually and steadily (about 1 to 2 pounds per week) if they stick to a calorie-controlled plan. Increasing exercise can increase weight loss.
Medical weight loss is supervised by a medical professional and targets the causes of obesity and weight gain. Treatments can run the gamut, from diet and nutrition to pills and surgery, but the goal is to help the patient achieve and maintain a healthy weight for life.
Many people can see results in one to two weeks if they stick to their plan. Weight loss results vary from person to person and depend on factors such as starting size and caloric intake level. Including exercise in the program can accelerate weight loss.
