* * * * * Count those. . . they earned them! The food was absolutely fantastico! The atmosphere is lovely. My boyfriend and I visited on a Tuesday evening for dinner in the bar. We were immediately acknowledged by Frankie Genzales (one of the owners) and our experience was superb. In true Italian fashion, we were made to feel like family. A family history in beautiful pictures align the wall, and we received a personal "tour" by Frankie, himself. After throwing names around, he embraced the fact that we had been around B-town for over 50 years and to no surprise, we knew a handful of family members, even attending school with a couple! With all of that aside, we shall return time and again, merely because they are doing it right! Go see for yourself, I recommend the "chicken picatta". Priced right, beautiful array of wines available. . . . nice bar. . . you name it, they nailed it. :)

Dont park in the back 125.00 window replacement hope they enjoy my sweats in my bag. Now the best part was dinner, I have been to the one in San Fransisco, concord, vegas, and universal city. you can feed friends or a family and still have money in your pocket, they changed the meat sauce Like it even better. Its a fun place some where you can look around at all the pics. Makes it hard to go else where pay almost the same for a platter for four and get a little bowl of pasta....you guys know who you are out there. Give it a try and if you dont like it dont go back but do have your taste buds checked. the critical chef rates and reviews and tells it as he tastes it

We took a cooking class at Al Boccalino and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Luigi the chef makes it not just a cooking experience, but creates a real Little Italy atmosphere. His passion for people and cooking elevates the evening to unexpected level, informal and homelike, yet sophisticated and elegant. We have celebrated our son's birthday that night and Luigi made it an evening that will remain in our memory for years to come. We will definitely come back!

We brought our daughter here for her birthday and found the place just as charming as it was back when it first opened in 1969. I couldn't possibly eat all my dinner so I took it home and had it for lunch the next day. It was so tasty! The service was quick and efficient. Nice clean bathrooms with a stall just for the little ones!

Excellent Italian restaurant for both lunch and dinner. For a unique meal, try the wild boar. Their desserts are terrific.

Being from NY, we're very particular about our Italian food and often overly critical. We went here before the Ozomatli show on Saturday night and the food was tremendous! We did have to wait for about 20 minutes and the woman manning the hostess stand was less than friendly, even though we had a reservation, but ultimately it was worth it! Also it helped that the owner came around to personally apologize for the wait. We had the veal parmesan, which was so yummy and a cream pasta with Italian sausage, which I actually almost finished it was so good. We didn't make it to dessert unfortunately as we had to go, but we'll definitely be back!

This place is a real jewel. It is a top end Italian restaurant (we are not talking Pagliacci's). The service was excellant, the wine selection was good, the prices were reasonable and the food was a delight. You should definitely check this place out.

Altura restaurant applies the focus of ingredient-driven Italian cooking to the natural bounty of the Pacific Northwest. Our chefs work tirelessly each day to highlight the most exciting seasonal products. Chef Nathan Lockwood's tasting menu is at the heart of the Altura approach to dining. With a focus on wild foraged products, pristine Puget Sound seafood and locally raised heirloom meats and vegetables, our tasting menu exemplifies who we are. Expect to spend between two and three hours enjoying ten to fifteen courses of our most inspired dishes. For a less structured approach, diners are welcome to design their own experience by choosing three or more courses from our traditional menu. Our team of Sommeliers is always on hand to design a unique flight of paired wines or help you find the perfect bottle to highlight your experience. We invite you to join us on Capitol Hill to celebrate seasonal cuisine, exceptional wine and gracious service.

Every one was so great, from the person who greeted us at the door ,to the guy who brought the dessert, we were definitely taken care of. We asked our server to bring us two different dishes that were her favorite, oh my gosh! The ravioli was crazy good! We could have eaten it all night!

My adult children and I had a splendid time at Perche No celebrating my 61st birthday. I had the tomato ravioli with portabella mushroom filling and argula salad. My daughter and I are both vegetarians and appreciated how many great choices there were on the menu for non-meaters. Lilly was genuinely hospitable, the service great, and the little birthday greeting and mousse a real treat.

I enjoy foie gras and I am so happy that they continue to serve the wonderful dish. I praise the owner for not backing down to bizzaro PETA insane folks and continuing to make wonderful food for those that can't live on wheat grass and rain water alone.

Their calzones, which are literally footbal sized and served with a side salad for under $10, are hard to beat. On Mondays they have a special and the Calzone is only 5.95, but it is quite busy and getting them can take up to 20 mins (busier when the UW is in session also.) The restaurant is well equipped to handle large groups. The service has always been top-notch. The on tap beer selection is decent. I've had some of their other dishes also, the grilled chicken salad is quite good, the cheese bread is yummy as an appetizer.

I used to work in the Village and personally I think this is one of the best restaurants. The staff is always super friendly, and the food is great. I am a special fan of their Happy Hour too! Super great deals on all the best food (no big entrees). Their caesar salad actually comes with anchovies, which is kind of rare these days, and their calamari is delicious (in fact I think I like the fried broccoli better than the squid). Their drinks are all great, although I usually stick to the wine.

My partner and I found this restaurant a few years ago and loved it so much the first time we ended up going one a week for 5 or 6 weeks straight! Needless to say our dining out budget was broken pretty quickly. That's not to say that The Cellar (as we call it) is expensive, we just like fine wine a little too much. ;-)\r \r FOOD: I haven't had an entree here I didn't like. Same goes for the appetizers. I would have to recommend the Gorgonzola & Roasted Garlic Crustini. Yum! Of the entrees some of my favorites are the Gnocchi Carbonara, House Lasagna, Sausage Linguini, Veal Parmesan (or Saltambocca), and any of the entrees with pesto sauce. Another thing I would recommend doing is if you don't mind paying for fine wine, let the owner/head chef, Ken, recommend a wine paired with whatever you've choosing to eat. One I would definitely recommend is the Prunotto Barolo. (His wine markups aren't nearly as high as others around town.)\r \r LOCATION: North Capital Hill, just south of Roanoke Park, small parking lot on site.\r \r ATMOSHERE: Overall it's a smaller place, subtle lighting, good for a nice evening out for two or a quiet dinner with your parents or in-laws while their visiting from out of town. But don't miss the velvet painting of the Godfather in one of the alcoves toward the back!

Not only does the pizza RULE but it's cheap. It's really laid-back and the servers are chill. My friend and I go a few times a month and have never had a bad experience. One of my favorite places in Seattle and some of the best pizza around!
