Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
I am a huge fan of Roto Rooter. They fixed a line (our sewer line) that another company got their blade stuck in and another couldn't scope. We have them out every year and they are consistently on-time, nice, efficient and keep everything in good shape. It might seem expensive one-off prevention, but compared to the cost of major excavations, it's a bargain.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
We called Roto-Rooter to help unclog a slow draining toilet and sink. After several hours, the crew discovered that there was also blockage outside the house. This blockage necessitated digging up a small part of a flower bed adjacent to the house foundation, cutting into the sewer line and installing another line in order to flush the sewer line. This process took about 4-5 hours, at night time. The crew was responsive, professional and friendly and did a commendable job. However:In order to reach the main sewer line the crew also had to cut out a block of concrete and remove a small concrete/brick trim wall around the outside flower bed. Although the crew refilled the hole they dug with soil and concrete the crew failed to replace the concrete/brick trim wall; the crew failed to remove the concrete forms; the crew failed to clean up the dirt and sludge that was deposited against the foundation of the house. Bottom line: the last part of the service, e.g., replacing the small trim wall and cleaning-up was not completed --- a task we have finally completed. Also, at every major step of the process, the crew attempted to upsell me to additional services claiming that more work had to be done; one quote for one small project was $12.5k but the crew said they would do the work for $4k. Something stinks (pardon the pun).Bottom line: the overall rating is disappointing not because of the work but because of the crew's neglect in cleaning up after their work.

No quotes online or over the phone. The professional to come, he gave me a VERY expensive fixed rate quote. Wanting to just get it taken care I agreed even though I essentially got charged $400 for 30 minutes of work which is completely outrageous. You can by a drain snake from Amazon for $35 which will clear most clogs and pay a capable friend in beer to do the job for you if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself. Don't waste your money on this scam, a regular plummer will likely do it for $200 or less or like I said just do it yourself.

Price Busters Plumbing
After a series of nightmares with a different plumbing company, we needed so much work to be done on our new home. Our friends told us about their wonderful experience with Price Busters, so we had to give them a try. My husband and I were very very impressed with their efficiency and reasonable pricing! Best plumbing company in the area, hands down.

Price Busters Plumbing
My husband & I have used Price Busters a couple of times, now. They were prompt, professional, and honorable. One time, they underestimated the amount of work it would take to do the job, and they stuck with their original bid, rather than renegotiating. (We sent them a bonus check because we didn't want to take advantage of them.) Their work was good in each instance. They will be the first call we make whenever we need our "flushing and flowing" worked on.

They did not give any quote when I called them. After waiting so long for the professional to come, he gave me a fixed rate very expensive quote, and I had to go with him. At the end of the day he charged me 350 dollars for half an hour of work.

Ally Plumbing Inc
They did a really nice job on our bathroom and kitchen sink. My husband is getting too old to crouch down and do our plumbing anymore so we were happy to get Ally out here to take care of it for us. Thanks so much.
Tips & Advices
  • Are you licensed and registered?
  • Are you insured and bonded?
  • How many years have you been in business?
  • What, if any, professional associations do you belong to?
  • May I have a list of references?
  • Do you offer a written warranty for your work?
  • Will I need a permit for this work?
It is important to have a written warranty for any work or repairs done to the plumbing in your house, especially if it is a major repair. Look for a professional  who is willing to  stand by his or her work.
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
