We were in Seattle the end of September for a Seahawks game. The hotel staff was absolutely wonderful...friendly and treated us like family. The rooms were small; however, very nicely decorated and extremely comfortable and clean. The whole experience there was great and I highly recommend staying there.....

I come to Seattle frequently on business and I usually stay at a downtown name brand hotel like the Crown Plaza but I decided to branch out and tried this place. What a great find. It has the feeel of a historical hotel in a great neighborhood location. The room was more like an efficiency apartment with a kitchen including a full-size fridge, sink amd microwave. I will definitely be returning!
8.Travelodge Seattle University
4725 25th Ave NE
It's an old building that appears to be going through a remodel. So I think some rooms are a little nicer than others. But hey it's a budget hotel! The prices are reasonable, and the location rocks if you are visiting UW or Children's Hospital. There is a lot of shopping, and plenty of great food just across the street. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay the night, then you have found it. Beware the parking lot is pretty tiny.

I just completed a seminar here. I was on site for 3 days. The restaurant and room service are delicious. The meeting rooms were great for our function. The gym was amazing! all in all a convenient location for exploring downtown seattle as well. 5-6 blocks from pike's fish market if I remember correctly.

I live locally but when I want a quick getaway in the city, my husband and I stay here. I love the cozy feeling of the hotel and the bar.
4140 Roosevelt Way NE
Nice young staff, free wireless internet, pool, nice breakfast, free parking and comfortable rooms (with 27"" tv) all for a good price.\r \r Update: we returned on July 2007. The hotel remains a great place. It's nice to know that the high standards are kept and that the hotel survives the test of time.
13.Inn At Virginia Mason
1006 Spring St
HotelsLodgingBed & Breakfast & InnsMotels
The Inn at Virginia Mason is located in the quiet neighborhood of historic First Hill. Built in the 1920s as The Rhododendron Apartments, the Inn retains much of its original charm and character. The Inn was purchased by Virginia Mason Hospital in the late 1960s. Renamed the "Mason House", the Inn operated as an apartment hotel for many years. Gradually, as long-term tenants moved out, the hospital began to operate the facility as a limited service hotel for patients of the hospital and clinic. In 1988-89 Virginia Mason renovated the old apartment building into a first-class European-style hotel with a range of rooms and amenities. Since then, improvements have been made to create a showcase facility for business and leisure travelers as well as patients of Virginia Mason and other nearby medical centers. We welcome your visit!

I was meeting some friends for appetizers and drinks prior to the Mariners game. I have to say the staff at Jimmy's was very professional and most attentive. From the time you walk in the door to the time you leave you are treated very well. The food was very good and I would recommend Jimmy' for lunch, dinner or drinks & appetizers prior or after a game.

We had a terrific stay! Our Yorkies were greeted and welcomed as well as we were. Shopping was so close and convenient. Accommodations were cozy, comfy and welcoming! Locations for walking our pups were convenient and well lit. Staff was courteous and prompt with fulfilling all requests. We would stay there again in a heart beat! We lucked out with a parking promotion.

We blocked rooms for our family and friends for our wedding and they were great! Great service and staff, price and the rooms are perfect! Great for families and anyone staying for more then a day. Good location, close to our wedding venue. This is one place that didn't give us any extra stress on our big weekend!
2000 4th Ave
I was married in August and my bridesmaids chose Hotel Andra to stay at for the night before my wedding. The staff was so accomadating in helping line up rooms for us girls. They were understanding to us running in and out on last minute errands and helped with a large number of bags and requests. My photographer even temporarily rearranged the lobby for photos. The staff was accomadating in finding a private place for our ""first sight"" photos. It was more than I (and the girls) could have planned for and asked for. We had a wonderful time and would highly reccomend this hotel.
900 Madison St
My wife and I decided to splurge for Valentine's day and stayed at the Sorrento Hotel for the weekend. The atmosphere at the bar and the lounge near the lobby is very warm and rich, with deep leather couches and dark wood. Dinner at the Hunt Club restaurant was amazing. The scallops with bacon and canteloupe (!) were a great surprise. I was very impressed that the chef, Ivan, came out to greet the patrons and discus the menu. We went with his suggestion for food and wine pairings, and they were fabulous. It turns out that he is new to the restaurant and this was the first weekend of his new menu. I see some not so favorable past reviews here, and I can say that any previous problems at the restaurant have been fixed. I know we'll be back to try more of Ivan's wonderful creations! I highly recommend the Hunt Club for a fancy dinner on the town.

We've dined at the Georgian before and liked it. This was our first trip since the menu revamp and the introduction of the seven-course tasting menu, which we chose. First, let me say, I love tasting menus and have enjoyed them at some of the best restaurants in the country -- Per Se, Gary Danko, and even the Herbfarm here in Seattle. This way my first experience of every course being absolutely PERFECT. Each bite was absolutely bursting with flavor and done to absolute perfection. With every course, my dining companion looked at each other with wonderment. There wasn't a weak dish in the bunch. And the portion size was perfect. We left filled complete, but not stuffed (unlike the Herbfarm, where I left still hungry). And there quite generous with the wine pairings -- we rarely finished a glass. And, it's cheaper than most tasting menus too! What more can I say? It was simply the best meal I've even had in my life.
20.Hotel Vintage Park
1100 5th Ave
We love Vintage Park, having just returned from a wonderful 2 day stay. They upgraded us for free to a beautiful room on the 10th floor. We could see the water and some snow capped peaks, as it was a corner room- we'll ask for this room from now on. The valet service is outstanding and the front desk is prompt and friendly. We are going to stay here from now on, we decided this past visit. It is also located within walking distance of Pike Place Market and all the great coffee shops. Never a disappointment. Thank you Vintage Park for the wonderful stay.

I had been given a gift certificate for the Max, and was afraid of what I thought would be a closet with a bed (since the cirtificate was the basic class of room), but instead I had a PERFECT room for a night away! The size was larger than expected after reading previous reviews, the bed was absolutely the most cozy I have slept in, and even the bath robes were plush! I was on the 8th floor and had somewhat of a view (as much as can be expected in an older building in a modern city setting), and slept with my windows open with no interruption. I have to admit, after all the negative written by others I was afraid to stay. Now I think that just because they are used to the large lack-luster rooms of the national chains, that a room such as boutiques offer, one that is not absolutely cavernous is somehow shortchanging them. The amenities were high end, the furniture was very relaxing, the toiletries very nice quality, and the staff friendly- I honestly couldn't have asked for anything more. Even the art pieces in the room were unique, no prints. How often do you see this in a hotel?\r \r Yes, the art can be a little racey, but that is the job of art is to make you see things in a way you normally wouldn't, to appreciate that which in another context my make you less apt to ponder, or even worse to take it for granted. Initially I was caught off-guard when I first walked in, but after one or two times of passing bye the ""noted"" picture next to the front desk I had to stop and look- it is a painting of such fine work that it looks like a photo. I am saddened that someone wouldn't stop to actually look at the work rather than the mere subject. I may not have it in my livingroom, but I can say that the art is of superior standard. \r \r Thank you Max, you have given me hope that sometimes there is more than meets the eye!
1112 4th Ave
Hotel lives up to the usual W standards and is located in a convenient spot in downtown. I was visiting the city and stayed here. Pike's market was just a short walk away which was nice.
2200 5th Ave
3 of us stayed at Ramada Inn 2200 5th Ave in Seattle on 7/23/08, rm #508. Even though I woke up the next morning thinking I had a flea bit on my wrist, what bothered us the most is all the black mold around the window and the A/C unit. I think we deserve a refund. Also, no smoke alarm or fire sprinklers in room or hallway, I did see a sprinkler over the front desk, 5 floors below. They have added a smoke alarm in front of the elevator, an obvious after thought. Lloyd \r
24.Residence Inn Seattle Downtown/Lake Union

It is like home away from home. The Residence Inns provide a kitchen and living room setting that allows travelers to feel comfortable. The staff has always been professional and nice. I enjoy the weekday evening meals and daily breakfast provided. It is so great that we don't have to leave to find a meal. I now book a Residence Inn where ever I travel because I am spoiled. They make single travelers feel safe.

Granted, the layout of the room was fairly standard. Nothing exciting. But, the decor of the room overcame the layout. It felt like a luxury room (and, for the price, I admit I expected that). But, despite being downtown, the room was quiet and restful. The location is great. Walking to the UW campus was easy. Walking to Husky Stadium wasn't as easy, but it was pleasant. Just leave in plenty of time for the game. We really didn't take advantage of all the hotel had to offer, but it was a relaxing oasis in a busy weekend and the staff were incredibly nice and accomodating. I didn't even worry about my car out in the parking lot... we just walked everywhere and it was fine. The lobby with its huge fireplace was a great gathering place and we didn't feel rushed to get out of there. I highly recommend this place.

29.Grand Hyatt Seattle
721 Pine St
This fab hotel is my new go-to recommendation for downtown spacations. I love the staff, the luxury spa (hiding on the 2nd floor), and the swanky restaurant Urbane. (Sunday is HH all day and the shrimp skewer is a must!) My only recommendation would be to consider updating the name to, ""Hotel & Spa at Olive 8"" and offering a few more gluten-free menu selections like Beecher's new gluten-free mac & cheese..It's to die for.
